Both of these songs were written or co-written by JK & give you an indication of how talented he is as a composer. It was said he is the one that wrote the melody for Film Out & Your Eyes Tell was originally supposed to be his solo song. I have always thought the songs Jungkook writes really fit all the members & showcase their strengths so well. It’s like he writes those parts just for them.
100% and the funny thing is he rarely highlights himself really at all… he makes it really about everyone . He also co-wrote the lyrics for your eyes tell… but yeh it was his baby
I'm Japanese, so when I listen to these songs, I think Jin and JK are amazing. Instead of singing in an easy-to-sing form, the two sing in plain Japanese to deliver their feelings. It might be easy to change the consonants or put in weird breaks to make it easier to sing, but it doesn't get to the heart of the song. Of course, it's difficult for everyone because it's not their native language, but Jin and JK chose a difficult path. Thank you and respect. And what makes Jin shine even more in Japanese songs is his excellent emotional expression and ability to tell stories. We often like warm, narrative songs that sound a bit classical.
I'm so sorry if this is annoying but could you please explain how does someone sing japanese in an easy-to-sing form? Do they make shortcuts in the words?
@@dongminrodriguez I think everyone has their own way of singing. That's what makes it attractive. But when they sing in Japanese, I sometimes feel that if they sing along with their own singing habits, the words will have a different aftertaste. Japanese is considered one of the most difficult languages. Even so, I am grateful that the two of them let me hear sounds that are as close to native speakers as possible. This is my opinion, not everyone's opinion. Did you think I badmouthed the other members? Sorry if so.
@@kibi7120 Noooo please don't be sorry! You said nothing wrong, don't worry! I was just curious about what you meant when you said Jin and Jungkook sang "plain japanese" unlike the other members, so I wanted to learn how they approached the japanese consonants so I could sing the language better as well. Thank you so much for explaining!
@@dongminrodriguez I'm glad you weren't offended. I often hear that Japanese ARMY are blessed. I think one of the reasons is that they have so many Japanese songs. I really appreciate their efforts.
The Film Out background vocals are like 11 separate layered tracks with jungkooks harmonies and adlibs weaving in and out of the entire song. There’s pretty much no vocal or rap without him behind it lol
15:02 and 15:38. The way Tae sings here and the emotions on his face are just so achingly beautiful and emotion filled. To clarify both Tae and Jin are considered the kings of Japanese songs esp because of how they standout in live performances. Their pronounciation is also really good. JK’s songwriting abilities really stand out in Japanese songs too. I think it’s because he spends a lot of time listening to Japanese music and he used to like Japanese films and anime. Whole vocal line shine in their Japanese discography while Rapline takes the more melodic root. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Noooo please don't hold back your thoughts! Please analyze away because that's my favourite part of your videos. I've always appreciated the way you make sense of their music/lyrics or videos and I think armys in general appreciate creators with original thoughts. So please don't hold back even if it's longer. Thanks!💜
Your eyes tell is co-written and cocomposed by jungkook as well… it was originally for his mixtape but he submitted it with the other members to be in this Japanese film and his was chosen and they loved it so much that they made it the theme song for the film. Jungkook knows how to highlight every single member in ways that being out the best of them. Also his lyrics are pure poetry… but if you break the song down… he’s highlighted strengths of BTS members that really are not always able to be highlighted in their other songs. There’s rarely choreo to their Japanese songs… so they can stand and deliver beautiful songs like this!!! Stay gold is Japanese and has an mv also lights is Japanese and has an mv as well… the vocalists really shine in the Japanese tracks… I know ppl hype Jin… but really each of them really shines in them
JungKook both participated as co-composer of these two songs. These songs have also been used in the Japanese movies Signal (Film out) then Your Eyes Tell which is the same title of the movie. ❤

Film Out was my first comeback as an ARMY, and it was not long after my father passed away. The lyrics are just...wow. And, Your Eyes Tell is just the most amazing song ever created. Thank you, JK! I cried during this reaction, which is not a bad thing. These songs are just so, so, good. Thank you.
Film out is co-written by JK and about Your Eyes Tell Bang PD revealed that JK wrote the final song while reading the movie script and watching its video clips. These are my favourite Japanese songs. The vocals and emotion is so powerful.
i love both of these songs so much. jungkook worked heavily on both, jk is SO great at bringing emotions out in his writing. and this is also one of my favorite lives! every filmout and your eyes tell live they did was so wonderful and simple yet powerful and emotional.
I'm going to quote myself and use an edited version of what I replied to a post with: Film Out has nothing to do with the BU. The movie Signal is based on a series of the same name, but the Japanese series is a remake of the original Korean series. I've seen that whole series since it's available on Netflix. Or was. I'm not sure if it's still there. Signal is about a young police profiler who finds a way to communicate with a police rookie in the past. The profiler can warn the cop about things that are about to happen, like murders, and the cop can try to change the outcome. Sometimes the outcome is better and sometimes it's worse, but they're both moving forward in time and they don't get a do-over like happens in the BU. I think Jin represents the profiler and JK represents the cop in the past. There's also a love interest for the cop who is in both times. I think Tae is representing the lady cop that's the love interest. The communication starts with only a 26 year time difference, so there are plenty of people in both times. Also, the cop in the past frequently has a limited amount of time to act and if he misses that window of time, then they both have to live with that. If you take the time to watch the series, you'll see that this video has all kinds of references to that series, and not the BU. I highly recommend the series, too. It's one of my favorite K-dramas. **slight BU spoilers** There are a ton of things in the video that contradict the BU. The hourglass, showing that JK is running out of time, but time doesn't matter in the BU because Jin can just reset it. Also, When Jin is singing on one side of the glass and the others are on the other side, there aren't six people on the other side of the glass. All seven of them are there. In the BU, Jin is never outside of the timeline, watching what happens but the police profiler is. The cop runs into the younger version of him at one point, so the profiler is in both timelines, just like Jin is in the video. The lyrics also reflect the events in the series. If you watch it, the lyrics actually make a lot more sense, and so do the visuals in the music video.
Please don't tone down your thoughts, that's what I'm here for. I really like how you analyze the song, the lyrics and the mv just like what you did in BST.
i'm a big fan of all original Japanese songs but i think Film Out is their biggest masterpiece out of all because everything's grand and on point, the rapline's performance on it is probably the best out of all Japanese songs and the vocal line just... no words, outstanding performance, i can't believe they performed it live
Your Eyes Tell is still one of my favorite JP songs from bts TT_TT and film out, I have a live version of it I listen very often the emotions for these songs just burst through

Some days in life are so dark you want to turn your back on everything. But I’m always saved when I look into your eyes. And they make me determined to protect those eyes at whatever cost. At times, eyes are more telling than words. We can’t go through life alone; we must walk towards the future by supporting each other, that’s the type of message we wanted to convey in this ballad.” Trailer with Eng subs here if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/k_Wv1Oxhkw0/видео.html This is a remake of a Korean film Always (2011) which was previously remade into a Turkish movie Sadace Sen (2014). As a film buff I'm pretty interested to check out. Evelin Ramos Miranda aid on 8/30/2020 BTS sent in several demo tapes but sent in another one right before the recording started, which was in a whole another musical direction - Bang PD said “it’s a song that Jungkook created after reading the movie script and watching the (unfinished) footage” The lyrics had incorporated “watching over you (in protection)”, which was a keyword in the movie, and the shining melody along with the relaxed vocals matched well with the actual movie so director Miki decided to play the song in the movie and not just at the end. it was already decided that BTS were gonna do the theme song for the movie before the demo tracks were sent so it wasn’t like the director deciding to use BTS for the theme song BC of their demo tracks.

“The song is about believing that the future in your eyes will be filled with light even if the world is filled with hardships. Some days in life are so dark you want to turn your back on everything. But I’m always saved when I look into your eyes. And they make me determined to protect those eyes at whatever cost. At times, eyes are more telling than words.
We can’t go through life alone; we must walk towards the future by supporting each other, that’s the type of message we wanted to convey in this ballad.”

This is a remake of a Korean film Always (2011) which was previously remade into a Turkish movie Sadace Sen (2014). As a film buff I'm pretty interested to check out.

BTS sent in several demo tapes but sent in another one right before the recording started, which was in a whole another musical direction - Bang PD said “it’s a song that Jungkook created after reading the movie script and watching the (unfinished) footage”
The lyrics had incorporated “watching over you (in protection)”, which was a keyword in the movie, and the shining melody along with the relaxed vocals matched well with the actual movie so director Miki decided to play the song in the movie and not just at the end.
it was already decided that BTS were gonna do the theme song for the movie before the demo tracks were sent so it wasn’t like the director deciding to use BTS for the theme song BC of their demo tracks.
Film Out has nothing to do with the BU. Sometimes the outcome is better and sometimes it's worse, but they're both moving forward in time and they don't get a do-over like Jin does in the BU.
@@psychokitty71 My favourite series - I have to listen again with new focus. Always love info like this. Also I was disappointed that I did not get to hear Gabbsi's thoughts. They are all so talented and the Japanese songs are so beautiful.
