It features... - crazy Pandora's Box - skillful, slim deck construction, including a hard "no" to a Defragment - intelligent Gremlin Nob kill - a legit Prismatic Shard - 4 x Apotheosis - the perfect endgame cards and relics to make the already-existing infinite much faster and easier
It is just so nice to delve into the world of spire and just watch you narrate a little story every time. Thank you for this!! Huge warm blanket vibe everytime
This run was way too good. Especially the double apotheosis something about seeing that was just titillating. Dark embrace + turbo + med kit is amazing. And then seeing the fourth apotheo WITH the bottled lightning same floor was just hilarious. Truly blessed seed. And now we’re adding divinity because of course we’re adding divinity.
I was so shocked you didn't take the calipers when it was offered in such a frost heavy build, but I saw the thumbnail so I knew it'd all work out in the end.
The funniest part is that he only actually needed Barricade for the two fights that just make it mechanically impossible to kill with a one-turn infinite. Every other fight it didn't actually matter that he carried over excess block. And really, he could have done the infinite combo every turn on the Heart fight if he needed to (because of the Loops I don't think Beat of Death would have been a problem), so in effect Barricade was just Time Keeper tech.
Just came from a stupidly OP Watcher run myself, this was an absolute treat to watch. Can't believe this run somehow topped the nonsensical OP things I was doing with my Watcher run. Sometimes Spire just hands you all the things you need and then some.
This omniscient defect is a really cool dude too bad he barricaded himself in the void and went mad but was ultimately embraced by the darkness and became divine.
Watched the whole run at 3x speed, and this was, by far, simultaneously the stupidest and most beautiful run of slay the spire I have ever seen. Bravo, sir. Bravo.

Prismatic Shard is by far the most entertaining relic. The shenanigans potential is through the roof. And considering how tall the spire is, going through that roof is quite a feat.

Just a remark I had when seeing the bronze automaton fight, you didn't need to upgrade 2nd coolheaded to be infinite : with full hand and at least 1 fusion channeled you can go : fusion, normal coolheaded, fusion , upgraded coolheaded, fusion , small CH, fusion, upCH, and so on
I like that you actually use blizzard. Given that defect's biggest weakness is AOE, I'm shocked people don't take it more often. Even if it only does 20 damage, it's busted.
@@NixViche Gremlin leader and reptomancer are the statistically worst enemies for defect. Grab a single chill, glacier, and blizzard+, and you neutralize them.
It's hard to make it work. If you have almost no frost orb gen it's a blank. Even if you have a single glacier it isn't going to be all that nice until you can glacier twice.
Unbelievably ridiculous run. I've honestly never seen anything like it (the closest may be Jorbs' game-breaking nightmare-poison run - I strongly suggest looking it up if you haven't seen it, he quite literally breaks the game), but this run was truly elegant and had literally every tool it needed.
with runic pyramid, a maximum of 10 cards that don't exhaust. otherwise you need a way to exhaust most of your cards. the basic infinite formula would be something like: 1. find a way to hold your enitre deck in hand. 2. find a way to generate energy & draw 3. find a way to deal damage during that process :)
No because you have to play two coolheadeds and fusion in one loop, which loses three energy to gain two energy. The unupgraded coolheaded must be used to draw the upgraded coolheaded, or the loop will end with only fusion left. Having two upgraded coolheadeds would let you draw fusion and the other coolheaded, for a net energy gain of zero.

Barricade on Defect is like the 4th or 5th most broken thing about this run.

its because its just generally easier to take other cards and win hallway fights faster without needing an entire deck to make a card work
