Building the Sports Sword Pell

Please do. And wrapping rope around the PEX pipe is a great way to go for steel weapons.

How long does this system last? Mostly the PEX and 2x6 connection, as well as the 2x6 to tire connection.

I haven't had the PEX / lumber junction wear out yet. But I do wrap the junction of the PEX with duct tape as it wears thin.

how in the heck do you assemble the wood in the tire? drill wont fit?

First, the legs can't be too long. They need play room at the inside part of the tread. Next you preassemble the legs together. Back out the screws of one leg, insert assembly pieces inside the tire, then screw them together inside.
