I am one of the people who were cool with the old formula. That said, the fact that Ace Beaute LISTENED to most people and changed things for the better? Kudos! I have one of the new formula palettes, I like it better than the old formula. Not going to replace my old palettes, but it's great to listen to critical feedback and improve a product
I bought it too. I must be the only one who is HIGHLY irked by these brands revising their palette. Huda's orig then remastered $130 , Manny's Life's A Drag then Face Lift $87, & now Ace Beaute og & revisions $511.94 = $808.84 to buy og & then replace it with the revision...who has that kinda cash to just throw away?
I am so curious: if anyone tried the new formula, how well does it stay on very oily lids? It's something I always struggle with and the reason half of the brands don't work for me. :)
Other brands should take notes! Instead of fighting customers and content creators on social media, deleting negative comments, and blaming difficult blends on user error they listened and came back strong. Incredibly impressed with how they handled things.
We love a brand that actually listens to its customers and works on improving its products instead of childishly acting out on social media. Love the color stories of the palettes! When I go out of my temporary No-Buy period, I'll definitely check them out!

I spit my screen on "smark"... it literally means "nose bogey" in Polish 🤣 Super happy about the reformulation! Paradise Fallen was actually my very first eyeshadow palette. When it gets too old to be still usable, I'll gladly replace it with the reformulated version.
Ace Beauté handled this very professionally and thoughtfully and it's very much appreciated. I am very glad they chose to reformulate rather than discontinue these beautiful colour-stories. It looks like a great improvement and I will definitely be picking several of the up (starting with Paradise Fallen 💜)

their colour stories are bomb! their brand clearly has a lot of passion and all of those pallets have a very well curated and inspiring colour story. I'm glad they redid their formula though because if it's difficult to use, nothing else matters. They obviously care about creating something that other brands don't have and something that will get your imagination going. Oceanic is kind of calling my name because I love the ocean and I love blues and teals.
Ooh I wanted these so badly when they first released but I saw your review and didn't get them. It's a rare palette that I don't buy and then still want but I think I'm going to get all except the rainbow palette. They still look right up my alley! So glad I waited for the improved formula!!
That pink and red palette is insanely gorgeous! I love that they can do a palette that’s generally monochrome or with monochrome segments but still make them interesting and inspiring to use- good use of tones & finishes as well as neutrals with colorful undertones that make them easy for ppl getting comfortable with colorful looks but also flexible for creating a multitude of looks. I enjoy the old palettes bc I’m not super experienced with colorful shadows so my looks are usually more simple, but I only have 2 palettes by then I got for cheap from boxycharm, but I have to have that pink and red one!! Love!!
Its really nice seeing a brand take feedback and make improvements. You dont see that often. Ace beaute is a brand i already liked. Its not my absolute fave formula but i do quite enjoy it. I own the original oceanic and flair palettes. Both i liked a lot. I enjoy the matte formula over the shimmer.. However the shimmers are fine. I do think there was def. Room for improvements. Especially the shimmers. So i am hoping thats what they did. I wouldnt mind owning the classical paradise and peacock palettes down the road. But ill prob. Not rebuy the palettes I already own.
I bought the Oceanic Palette in their old formula because the colour story is just gorgeous. But I didn't really use it because I didn't like the quality for the same points you mentioned. Everytime I saw the palette I was just sad and disappointed. I really want to try their new formula. If it's as good as you say, it could become my favorite brand for eyeshadows, as they have really amazing colour stories. Thank you for your review!
Sadly, Ace Beauté is not available on Beauty Bay anymore (at least for me here in Germany) so I really really hope they renew their contract with Ace Beauté because it would make buying these beautiful palettes so much easier as a European.

I actually pulled out my Blush Tribe Fall Fusion palette today and went outside my comfort zone and used “Angelica” and aubergine. Purples and blues are my tough shades and evryone wants me to wear them bc I have blue eyes. But grungy, olive and sage greens, and ofc reds, are my fav eyeshadow colors. (Though orange and peach are my easy shades, my neutrals). So I’ve learned to work with greens but blue and purple just didn’t draw me in so I didn’t learn to use them. But I did an all matte sunset look with both purples, the reddish orange and yellow today for fall. It actually came out really nice. I’m proud of myself for pushing my boundaries. Anyways I’m so glad Ace reformulated bc I only had one palette left, classical paradise, bc I just found the formula a pain to work with. But Ace kills it with interesting color stories. I’m def repurchasing the classical paradise bc grungy greens and vampy deep reds are my happy place. Also have to get the pink and red palette, even tho I’m kind of meh about most pink shadow, the reds are calling me. I just bought two palettes this month and all my nieces and nephews have bdays around this time of year so it’s going to take some time. That and we got a house with a toilet put in wrong and spent almost $1k fixing it 😑. So I’ve got to restrain myself. Plus Christmas is coming and I have a child who is a gamer and needs a new computer. Being an adult sucks. But eyeshadow make slide better.

1st of all that eye look is beyond stunning! Oh my God, I was so transfixed on your eyes I was having a hard time following the video! As far as the brand goes, I was so interested and I craved these palates so badly especially when they 1st came out and I just couldn't bring myself to buy them! I am so glad that the owner listened to the feedback and made some hard decisions and changed the formula! I know that it could not have been easy hearing any of that and having to do that, but I have so much respect ! I cannot wait to buy these now! This brand always had some really interesting colour stories. I already liked the matte:shimmer ratio, in many of these. I'm so glad the formula finally matches the creativity! 👍🏻👍🏻 I actually kept the purple one (as well as Violet Voss' Sweet Violet) for a long while, just to explain to friends why NOT to buy these palettes. 😩 I either want to do vibrant, multicoloured looks, or I don't do my makeup, at all. So if shades won't blend into each other without going muddy, they're of 0 use to me. 😕 I did eventually end up decluttering both of these, too... But I'm so happy the brand has succeeded until now, to be able to work to get them reformulated! They were ahead of their time, creatively, and I'm so so glad the formulas are worthy of that creativity, now. 👍🏻👍🏻 I'm definitely considering purchasing a few of these. Might get the Paradise Fallen, again, the Oceanic, Flair, and the pinky one. 🤔 Hrmm...
YES I love brand humility! The reason I did not buy from them before was because I heard very mixed reviews about the formula, but now I’m not scared of that anymore! Will be buying ASAP!
I've never tried Ace Beauté, though have wanted to. However, on if brands should reformulate, honestly I do think it's good for brands to reformulate and strive to be better. The market and formulas are ever changing and brands need to keep up or those, such as Urban Decay (who used to be seen as being ahead of the pack), fall behind and get stuck, losing customers. Just look at how duo chromes and multi chromes have already changed the market. Yet UD hasn't changed a thing in years. While some people may have not had any issues with the original Ace Beauté formula, it definitely seemed like it wasn't beginner friendly, or even intermediate friendly. I'm glad to see that they've listened and rather than throwing a fit like some brands I won't mention, they made the changes necessary for everyone to enjoy their makeup. I hope to be able to purchase from them soon though. They've been on my radar for a while now

I picked up paradise fallen and slice of paradise in the old formula when it was on clearance. I figured it was worth a shot at that price. I'm happy with them but would like to try the new formula out too at some point. That berry/pink blossom one looks like fun and it's not a color scheme I already have several times over. Love the look you did.

That look is utterly gorgeous, can't stop staring at it and wishing I had this palette also. Am glad to hear that they reformulated and the palettes are now exceptional compared to what they were before. I remember checking Ace Beauté out in BeautyBay couple of years ago and since then I fell in love with this Oceanic palette, the colours in it are just utterly beautiful and after my taste - now I can buy that and some others too. I checked out their site and saw that the new fall themed one is also reformulated. The other thing that I like about AB is that their packaging is so amazingly beautiful, the artwork is just chef's kiss.

Glad to hear about the new formula, my only confusion is when brands use a cover on a cardboard palette that has nothing to do with the colors inside. Some palettes I have don't get used sometimes because I think they have the colors from the cover. I am always glad when it's not more plastic, but it's not so hard for the graphic designers to give a better hint as to what inside instead of having to open every palette to see what's in it. Ave I have a palette from another brand that has all it's text in a beautiful rose gold and it's the only color from the outside of the palette that isn't inside. Very frustrating.

I haven’t tried Glamlite or Ace Beaute. I am just starting to use color more. The swatches do look great. “Kermit situation” made me smile.

Purples and blues are my tough shades and evryone wants me to wear them bc I have blue eyes. But grungy, olive and sage greens, and ofc reds, are my fav eyeshadow colors. (Though orange and peach are my easy shades, my neutrals). So I’ve learned to work with greens but blue and purple just didn’t draw me in so I didn’t learn to use them. But I did an all matte sunset look with both purples, the reddish orange and yellow today for fall. It actually came out really nice. I’m proud of myself for pushing my boundaries.
Anyways I’m so glad Ace reformulated bc I only had one palette left, classical paradise, bc I just found the formula a pain to work with. But Ace kills it with interesting color stories. I’m def repurchasing the classical paradise bc grungy greens and vampy deep reds are my happy place. Also have to get the pink and red palette, even tho I’m kind of meh about most pink shadow, the reds are calling me. I just bought two palettes this month and all my nieces and nephews have bdays around this time of year so it’s going to take some time. That and we got a house with a toilet put in wrong and spent almost $1k fixing it 😑. So I’ve got to restrain myself. Plus Christmas is coming and I have a child who is a gamer and needs a new computer. Being an adult sucks. But eyeshadow make slide better.

1st of all that eye look is beyond stunning! Oh my God, I was so transfixed on your eyes I was having a hard time following the video! As far as the brand goes, I was so interested and I craved these palates so badly especially when they 1st came out and I just couldn't bring myself to buy them! I am so glad that the owner listened to the feedback and made some hard decisions and changed the formula! I know that it could not have been easy hearing any of that and having to do that, but I have so much respect ! I cannot wait to buy these now! I like my Ace Beaute Flair and Paradise Fallen and I definitely want to get the Classical Paradise in the new formula when I get the chance!

I've wanted the oceanic palette forever but I'd heard so many different opinions about the quality that I was nervous. Glad I waited because I just ordered it lol. It's such a stunning color story and I can't wait!
This brand always had some really interesting colour stories. I already liked the matte:shimmer ratio, in many of these. I'm so glad the formula finally matches the creativity! 👍🏻👍🏻
I actually kept the purple one (as well as Violet Voss' Sweet Violet) for a long while, just to explain to friends why NOT to buy these palettes. 😩 I either want to do vibrant, multicoloured looks, or I don't do my makeup, at all. So if shades won't blend into each other without going muddy, they're of 0 use to me. 😕 I did eventually end up decluttering both of these, too...
But I'm so happy the brand has succeeded until now, to be able to work to get them reformulated! They were ahead of their time, creatively, and I'm so so glad the formulas are worthy of that creativity, now. 👍🏻👍🏻

YES I love brand humility! The reason I did not buy from them before was because I heard very mixed reviews about the formula, but now I’m not scared of that anymore! Will be buying ASAP!

I've never tried Ace Beauté, though have wanted to. However, on if brands should reformulate, honestly I do think it's good for brands to reformulate and strive to be better. The market and formulas are ever changing and brands need to keep up or those, such as Urban Decay (who used to be seen as being ahead of the pack), fall behind and get stuck, losing customers. Just look at how duo chromes and multi chromes have already changed the market. Yet UD hasn't changed a thing in years. While some people may have not had any issues with the original Ace Beauté formula, it definitely seemed like it wasn't beginner friendly, or even intermediate friendly. I'm glad to see that they've listened and rather than throwing a fit like some brands I won't mention, they made the changes necessary for everyone to enjoy their makeup. I hope to be able to purchase from them soon though. They've been on my radar for a while now

I picked up paradise fallen and slice of paradise in the old formula when it was on clearance. I figured it was worth a shot at that price. I'm happy with them but would like to try the new formula out too at some point. That berry/pink blossom one looks like fun and it's not a color scheme I already have several times over. Love the look you did.

I'm so glad they listened bc I had tried their shadows b4 and thought they were so dry but I loved the color story. I might try this brand next year since I have purchased too many palettes lately lol. But omg this look turned out stunning!! Those greens are so saturated and pigmented now wow!!

That look is utterly gorgeous, can't stop staring at it and wishing I had this palette also. Am glad to hear that they reformulated and the palettes are now exceptional compared to what they were before. I remember checking Ace Beauté out in BeautyBay couple of years ago and since then I fell in love with this Oceanic palette, the colours in it are just utterly beautiful and after my taste - now I can buy that and some others too. I checked out their site and saw that the new fall themed one is also reformulated. The other thing that I like about AB is that their packaging is so amazingly beautiful, the artwork is just chef's kiss.

Glad to hear about the new formula, my only confusion is when brands use a cover on a cardboard palette that has nothing to do with the colors inside. Some palettes I have don't get used sometimes because I think they have the colors from the cover. I am always glad when it's not more plastic, but it's not so hard for the graphic designers to give a better hint as to what inside instead of having to open every palette to see what's in it. Ave I have a palette from another brand that has all it's text in a beautiful rose gold and it's the only color from the outside of the palette that isn't inside. Very frustrating.
