Hi Gregor, thank you for sharing all that you do. I recently discovered your channel because I have a trip to France and Italy coming up next March/April and will be solo and was looking for the most informative videos I could find on pretty much everything Italy as I will be in that country for 6 weeks. Well I hit the full stop button when I found you. I didn't need to look any further. I feel well armed to enjoy everything thanks to you, and what is even better is that my next trip that I was planning, is to... Vietnam!! So I hope you enjoy every minute and stay safe and I can't wait for the next very informative chapter of your travels. Best wishes, Margaret in Australia. :)
Thank you so much, Margaret! I’m thrilled you found the channel helpful and that it’s been able to get you even more excited for your upcoming adventure in France and Italy. Six weeks sounds incredible - you’ll have so much time to explore and soak up all the beauty! And Vietnam as your next destination? That’s amazing! I'll have a couple of videos from there. I hope both trips bring you unforgettable memories. Thanks again for your kind words, and safe travels from Australia to Italy and beyond!
Wishing you an enjoyable and safe trip, dear Gregor - sounds like quite the adventure!! Always enjoy your insight on living in the Bel Paese - very much looking forward to your upcoming videos around Asia. Take good care and have a fantastic time!! 😇
Sounds amazing....my daughter moved from Texas to Taiwan and she has been fortunate to see many of these countries already. If you can get to Taiwan it is amazing, has a ton of Japanese influence so the people are so welcoming and kind. Beaches, big cities, mountains, cozy small towns and great food! I look forward to watching your blogs...
just go back from Italy. florence, rome & amalfi.. amazing trip and thank you for all you vids that really helped us along the way. this trip sounds incredible so safe travels and looking forward to watching!
The very best of luck to you Gregor, I hope your journey goes smoothly and you get the best results for your videos, and stay safe and return to Italy soon, bon voyage! 😊😊😊😊😊
Sounds fantastic watched you Italy videos they were great and gave me good advice for my recent trip there 😊Looking forward to watching your videos from the east.Good luck with half marathon too 😊
Awesome plan! Can’t wait to watch your videos from all these amazing destinations:) I was planning on doing a “around the world” trip in the next couple years and SE Asia was going to be most of my stay overs. What you’re doing should help me plan it out. Thanks! Safe travels :)
Good for you. I'm still watching all your Italy videos for my upcoming trip tp Florence and Tuscany in two months. Also I'm learning a lot from you about one of my favorites countries in the world. Cheers from Costa Rica.
Hey Chuck! Yes, I’ve been to Bali. I visited last year for about a week, and it was an amazing experience. I rented a motorbike and took off exploring the northern part of the island, where the roads are smooth and the scenery is just stunning. The waterfalls and volcanoes up there make it feel like a tropical paradise. The island’s lush landscapes really make it an adventurer’s dream. Bali’s unique culture and serene atmosphere add a special touch to the whole experience. Thanks for the suggestion-I'm glad I could experience its magic firsthand! 😊🌴🏍️
best of luck and safe travels. hope you do your vlogs especially on food and lifestyle. what does this mean for cycling reporting though? we cannot have a grand tour without your reports 🙂
In the Philippines - you should go hike “Mount Pinatubo” it’s an easy Hike - Dormant Volcano - the landscape is out of this world - also go to Pagsanghan Falls - the upriver boat ride is quite interesting
Hi Gregor! Enjoy your BIG trip to Asia! Wuhan was the most amazing and interesting! The lovely people have never seen an American and treated me like a celebrity!😂 Loads of bizarre street food in Beijing markets. Phuket had the most insane spiciest food I’ve ever had!! You have an invitation and a place here in North Carolina😉. Hospitable people, great food, stunning beaches, and gorgeous mountains!
I'm Italian and have been living in China for years. In Guangxi I highly recommend Yangshuo, very relaxed and beautiful views (and great climbing in case you're into it)
You'll like Singapore. It's like a mashup of the cultures of many former British colonies all in one tiny space, each with their own enclave plus all the interesting things that result from the fusion of them, and also with British colonial influence. It is a great place to go out, dine, stay out late at the quays, sample a bit of a lot of cultures all mixed.
Glad i have seen your italy videos im currently just outside milan, flew in to bergamo airport thursday been lecco, como, pavia and milan today. Its a complete different experience to driving back home in the UK i love trying to set off in 3rd gear 😂 i dont think ill get to Singapore but ill be watching
Balı, no? Lived many years in Milan but happy to be living back in Indonesia. Asia is best for all kinds of food and I love being back here. Lived in SGP and Thailand too. Have fun on your trip!
Personally I wouldn’t stay long in HCMC. I would hit some cities up the coast or even Phuket Quac island to get a better feel for Vietnam. At least take a long tour on the Mekong. In Thailand you can extend your visa for 60 days maybe more. They have different visas and you might qualify for a longer visa. Maybe check out Krabi in Thailand, it’s less known than Phuket, Chang Mai type places. I was not a fan of Manila. You may want to spend a few days there before booking a long stay. There other islands to check out but be careful it’s not safe everywhere. Why not Bali? Personally I loved riding my scooter to the volcano on Bali and going around the whole island on my scooter. Changgu is a good place to do work and yoga, but lots of Tourist, that’s why there’s good facilities there like B-works. I’d like to recommend YogaBarn in Ubud Bali. It’s a unique place and very social media worthy. Lots of places in Bali are not as touristy. Balinese are culturally similar to Thai even if they don’t know it because they are Hindu and Buddhist while most area in SEA are now Muslim or Communist. Indonesia is close to Singapore, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam etc. I use that as my base in SEA. Indonesia is huge and there are different cultures from East to West. I’m currently in Florence for 1 month and using your video to set my first few days. Thanks for all the tips.
Hey brotha i have a large apartment in Manila on Manila bay. I also have an office upstairs in the large apartment and 25 sqm balcony overlooking the park and the bay. Im a US Vet and sort of historian on Manila. I live in Florence now though not far from you. If you want some tips or some contacts in Manila let me know. My wife is from there originally and I lived there 12 years before moving to Florence, (Santo Spirito ) I was in HCMC Nam about 6 months ago also. Dont skip Cambodia and Angkor Wat if you can squeeze it in
Hello! Upon your return Italy, would you be willing to conduct an interview with an immigration lawyer? Specifically, could you inquire about the requirements and procedures for obtaining permanent residency or citizenship?
Would be great to buy you a beer in Singapore if u have time 🍺, or show u a few runs / hikes. - Maxwell hawker centre - La Pa Sat - Old Airport road food centre - Loy key chicken rice Guess you’ve been here before so you probably know the drill.
@ Also try Coriander Leaf restaurant at Chijmes. Local cuisine elevated to fine dining standards at a reasonable price. Outstanding feed!! . You can run all this off around Marina Bay / Gardens By The Bay or also google the Rail Corridor. 20km of green nature strip from north to south. So in return, you wouldn’t be able to help me score a calcio storico semi final ticket for next year? 🙏
I did a couple of 16K runs, around the area you're talking about, you can see it on my Strava. Thanks for the tips!! Oh man, yeah, Calcio Storico, it's been on my list. I think you need to book early and pay big $$$
All the best for your trips and pl show more of the places and not on food alone. West still is not aware of what say China has achieved a true miracle like post war Japan and Germany did.
