If Twitter wrote a movie with all its overused memes, tired jokes, stupid logic, and cliched versions of men, women, and race, it would be Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
A film for the Twitter generation who hate original characters and have a 5-minute concentration span. Hang-on! I liked Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Let me explain.

The lego world isn't connected to the Lego Movie in any way. The directors found a fan who makes them on their own and decided to let them in for their own scene.
In fact, that lego world is connected to the actual Lego Marvel games as in the section where it shows all the different Spider-People, it mentions lego Spider-Man is from the same Earth Lego Marvel Superheroes is set,
@@evanlight2550 Yes but is it cannon that imsomniac spider man is part of this after the games? No. Its an easter egg they are not really connected. Its not the spiderman from those games doing those things in the movie off screen.

5:56 Holy shit bro this isn’t the film being “sexist towards men”. This is characterization. Spider-People are ALWAYS snarky and sarcastic and quippy towards everybody. This has NOTHING to do with the fact that Gwen is a chick and Miguel is a dude.
"No, she's obviously being quippy because feminism" -mentally ill person
And the fact he's acting like Gwen literally didn't already go through a whole process of saving a different universe already and wouldn't have a few snarky remarks for someone who just says "I'm from another dimension" when asking who they are
Plus it makes sense for gwen at this point. She's had a multiversal experience before so it's nothing new to her and she had growth in ITSV where she came out of her shell with Miles so it makes sense she's more quippy.
Also she’s a teenage girl. As a teenager myself, of course she’s sassy and sarcastic she’s a teenager.
It's almost like he has some kind of bias against women or something.
Miguel has every right to be mad at both MCU Peter and Strange. The mess in No Way Home was completely preventable if Strange was using his brain.
Slightly missed the point
@@RobotHead what? It's a nitpick.
@RobotHead a perfect embodiment of this vid-- "slightly missed the point." Like your other ones though, back to form eventually?
@@RobotHead What is the point? That Miguel is a nerd himself and therefore a hypocrite?
I think the point is that this GROWN MAN is the leader of an elite group of heroes that protect the multiverse, and despite that fact, he’s still susceptible to juvenile things like rage-fueled emotional outbursts and calling someone a “nerd.” All this because the writers had to make every man in the movie (besides Miles) look bad in some way, shape, or form.
What's wrong with a dad being a dad?
Dads love their kids. You don't just pregnante and run.
They finally made a happy Peter as compared to the constant misery they make him indure in the comics
I was torn on the Dad Peter angle tbh. As a dad myself, I thought it was an interesting arc, taking him from 'down and out' to 'fulfilled father.' But that said, it really was dialed up to 11. Pink bathrobe, his entirely one-note focus on the baby the entire time, his constant backing down to any other character in conflict, the gender swap on the sports reference, his overall milquetoast persona... it really did feel like "white dad written by a 25 year old NB writer that's pulling a few punches."

Miguel isnt even a psycho, when he was explaining the multiverse and the canon to Miles, he was calm and treated Miles like any other spiderman there, only when Miles started to rebel, and risk the multiverse, that Miguel started to become aggresive and forceful.
Miguel, being the man who maintains the "canon" in universes, holds a lot of power, therefore, holds a lot of responsibility.
With great power.....
Plus it's obvious that part of the reason Miguel is freaking out is that he's projecting his own feelings of guilt and rage on him.
He thinks that breaking canon was the worst mistake of his life. Probably the worst mistake anyone made ever. Something he's sacrificed everything to fix.
And now he's looking at basically a young version of himself who's about to do the exact same thing.
@@Awaken_To_0 Agree, and even if it's in Miles' perspective, it's still understandable.

I think my favorite part of this film is the way they handled Spot. The way they took a small, background character from the first movie and turned him into a multiversal threat was pretty ingenious. You can't help but feel sorry for the dude, as he was just a regular scientist that had his entire life ruined and gets treated as a joke villain.
HELL YEAH! THE SPOT! He was what I consider to be THE GOAT!
Bro went from running from a cashier to literal multiversal threat in a span of 1 movie!
The Spot was handled about a million times worse than his appearance in the 90's animated show. Nothing about him makes sense:
His tragic backstory is that his scientist colleagues laughed and ridiculed him for his appearance... in spite of the fact that he can create interdimensional gateways, bending time and space to his will, basically becoming the most significant scientific achievement in human history ever? Yeah, right.
His level of competence is inconsistent, so you're telling me a guy that couldnt rob an ATM machine, and had issues controlling his portals, and is basically a no threat to anybody at the start of the film, suddenly can just deactivate every single Alchemax facility and bypass all securities and all spider-men on those worlds? Conveniently the next time we see him after his big failure he already got powered up from few Alchemaxes, but they left out him busting into the first ones. Probably because character consistency is hard.
Also, Im sorry but how does he know Miles' secret identity, was that ever established?? His whole reason for hating miles also is so shallow. You're telling me, if I take his words at his value, his whole life is ruined, he has suffered incredibly psychological trauma, etc ,etc. And yet, his first instinct is to... go find a cute trenchcoat and get some money.... AND THEN, and ONLY THEN, after being annoyed by Mile's kindergarten insults, suddenly remember that you have sworn a vendetta against him??? Oh screw that movie.
@@MADVILLAIN669 Dude... what?
Ok first of all, I'm no expert, but didn't his FAMILY ridicule him? Not his co-workers?
Like I think I know why he lost his job, since the collider went KABOOM and all.
And you know, maybe his family wasn't really that all into science and just ridiculed him for how he looked.
Then to the competence part, Remember when Spot says that, "My holes aren't a curse! They're the answer!" That suggests that all this time, he has seen his holes as nothing but a nuisance.
Considering everyone at Alchemax is gone and fired it would probably be hard to find a regular job. Also considering that his powers go out of control when angry, I kind of understand why...
Also, he doesn't know who miles is, but probably, he found the spider, and noticed the new spiderman, and kind of connected the dots.
and if you're wondering why Miles' face was shown, then why was Miles 42 shows for the audience to see, despite Spot not seeing him?
Basically the black and white animation was just for us.
Also after a year I guess he turned to a life of crime, then saw Spiderman, coming, and since he created him, and Miles created him, he thought, DESTINY!
Then Miles thought of him as a joke, then it was there he find out he can travel to other dimensions, seeing that his holes are the answer.
And makes himself more powerful, and controlling his powers more.
Also, I think the fight Spot vs Miles was his first fight.
So yeah, I kind of just connected the dots on this man
@@ivandphantom9028 no his scientist colleagues laughed at him post transformation, that’s his origin story. Also he’s too stupid to be smart.

I’m seeing people claiming this is “just the dude’s opinion”. A good opinion is one you should be able to disagree with, but not counter-argue. If you have your own personal problems with something you have no evidence for, that’s called a natural bias, which is important to admit. The dude does neither of these things, instead calling the movie “woke” simply because he woke up and said “How can I be different today?”.
exactly! at least most have the pretense of caring about artistic freedom. but this was the video that made me realize that "good faith" was never on this assholes agenda. he just wants to sneer down at anything popular like a douchy reddit mod for grift money.
Me personally, i am one of those who aren't a fan of the multiverse, would wanna see a society of them but multiverse not so much. Though i do like the entire spiderman chasing miles. That was the only thing i like about the movie
The trans propaganda is enough to call anything woke. Besides, just watching the vid gives you the reasons why he thinks so, so you vomiting the stuff like "he woke up and wanted to be different" is a pure shite enchillada, mate. :)
What’s dumb is the man’s criticism of Miguel’s reasoning. By pointing out how flawed is it, it’s a knock on the film. My guy, a bad guys reasoning is supposed to be flawed. We understand why he feels the way he does, and his reason for doing is noble, but his methods are what’s wrong.
That’s what makes him compelling. He’s a flawed “hero.”
@@Film_Sushiyou know most people had to go back and rewatch to see the trans propaganda? Having a flag show up for 2 seconds in this massive movie does not make it woke, ya schmuck. Honestly, Peter saying “I need to re-examine my personal biases” in the first movie was WAY more noticeable as a “woke” moment. This movie doesn’t linger on any political nonsense. It’s inclusive, but that’s because in the multiverse that includes a fucking dino spider, wheelchair spider people, and multiracial folks only make sense.

If you unironically think this movie is "woke", you need to be slapped with a reality check. HARD. I watched this movie and didn't come to the conclusion that there was anything political about it, and I still don't think the film is political after learning about some of the allegorical inferences that can be drawn from its contents. You're just assuming that the movie is "woke garbage" because it just so happens to have its characters written in a certain way that you personally dislike (Gwen's interaction with Miguel, a complete stranger who interrupted her while she's working, is just Spider-Man's/Woman's quippy and crass sense humor and has nothing to do with him being a man... I don't see you complaining about other Spider-People having the same or similar senses of humor, and he's also the only male character who she talks to that way), and you aren't smart enough to distinguish correctly between objectivity and subjectivity, as made evident by your using the "opinion" excuse in response to criticism of what is every bit an atrociously bad, poorly substantiated take on the film. Just take the L like a champ instead of trying to frame objective truth claims as subjective feelings and preferences like a coward.
I don't have the energy or time to address every single point you make in a RUclips comment, but I have to say... could you at least pretend to have paid attention to the movie? The most notable example of you clearly not paying attention to the film are the idea of canon events. The "canon events" are a red herring and/or an incorrect assessment from an emotionally-driven antagonist, not a new hard-coded rule that all Spider-Man writers have to follow. Anyone who actually paid attention to the film will have noticed how the idea was presented by a clearly unreliable, non-authoritative force.
Yeah this video is actually has the worst criticism I have ever seen.

When I ask people what they like about the film, they highlight either the “fun” references, the “fun” character cliches, or the “amazing” animation. They don’t say that directly but that’s what they mean.
References are not an excuse for bad story. Nostalgia porn is the death of story telling
The characters suck. All the men are emasculated (why does Peter b have his child ON A LIFE OR DEATH MISSION) and all the “fun” characters are just cliches. Literally someone I asked said her favorite part of the movie was spider punks accent. Like what?
And the animation is mind numbing in this movie. Animation is supposed to serve the plot not be the central focus. Remember old Disney movies, with animation a million times more revolutionary than these movies? Story was the focus. It’s too much in this movie. The 2 and a half d style was a nice accent in the first film but they used it as the central gimic in this one, and all it does it hide the garbage writing. It looks like an acid trip. And I say this as an animation major, so anyone who is “offended” on behalf of the animators can go shove it up there ass, respectfully

i think gwen being an angst teen isnt bad, as long as she has her reasons for being so and is a fleshed out character beyond just being and angst teen, which she is.
It has now been confirmed that the makers were writing a Gwen Stacy Spin-off and a Miles Morales story. And given the failure of their recent movies they decided to combine the two movies and split them into part 01 and part 02. Its a cheap way to get people in to watch the next part. Because despite the first movies performance, Disney Marvel doesn't believe their audience will accept a project as openly as before.
Gwen Stacy shouldn't been in this movie. For what we got of her character, it was too rushed and too much, or not enough, given the stupid To Be Continued sign at the end. Someone has to die in the next movie without the stupid multiverse interfering for it to mean anything.
Also, imagine reducing a character death to "canon event".
For the life of me, in no universe can I imagine Joker saying to Batman, "Your parents' deaths are a canon event THAT'S why you cannot save them ever".
It is only half-true and entirely ruins the potential of the stories that come from the idea beyond this movie.
@valentinegonsalves7322 It's like the bad version of Flashpoint (the comic). In that story, not only did Bruce not lose his parents, it was his father who became Batman.

20:15 Such a good point; the Peter from Spectacular Spider-Man would never accept this
yeah, but we do see healthy stacy’s death, and i think all spider-people(?) joined the society- well because it was multiversal- but also because all spider people have such tragic stuff happen to them, so knowing it was just a canon event gave them a lot of closure. so maybe sleuthing changed inbetween season 2 and whenever now is
And that is the reason he doesn't feel like Spider-Man anymore: you can't separate Spider-Man from his unshakeable moral code, its what makes him Spider-Man
Becuase he does not know much about the canon he was never involved in multiversal shenanigans so I assume he just follows Miguel it’s because he has nothing else to lose
miles is finding out his dad is gonna die, he already lost his uncle, that leaves just him and his mom, every other spider-man has already lost their uncle ben, they're already been through most of the canon events, including death of the captain most of whom don't have nearly the same kind of attachment as miles or gwen, they're being given a chance to forgive themselves, to lessen the emotional burden and gain comradery, to fight and capture villans across the multiverse to restore a natural order one it's the comic version of it's gods plan or everything happens for a reason, an arguably easier thing to digest, for miles he's being told too early, he's not being told it's not your fault there was nothing you could've done he's being told we aren't letting you do anything bc of a chance that it would cause the universe to collapse, and miles is convinced there has to be another way, so yeah spectacular would and so would every other spider-person who is told before not after
@@NoraHannigan678It doesn't really matter what explanation is given, if the movie wants Spectacular Spider-Man to look the other way, then he will in the movie.
However, the Peter from Spectacular Spider-Man is a fan-favourite and "not looking the other way" is an essential part of his character (any Spidey character). Therefore, this cameo doesn't reflect the real Spectacular Spider-Man for fans. It would be like having a multi-verse Batman movie and having Kevin Conroy's Batman show up briefly and saying he is oke with killing villains now.
So much of this video makes zero sense. Spider-gwen makes jokes with Miguel becausue Spider-men make jokes. Thats the entire point. Miguel is the only one that isnt funny. Imagine black people complaining about no black people in a movie..and calling it racist for that.....oh right, you would call them woke.
Spider-punk also set the entire plan in motion. Watching the movie,l you can see that he is taking parts out specifically for theh watch that he was giving gwen, because he was planning to break apart the system to begin with. Miles' provided the perfect oppurtunity.

Finally, someone else with some sense. I was quite disappointed with the movie myself. And the concept of Canon Events was needlessly meta, and made no sense. Do all Spider-Men need to experience 1 or 2 important deaths in their lives? Aside from Pete's parents, there are loads from Uncle Ben to Gwen to Cpt Stacy to Harry Osborne to even Norman Osborne, maybe Doc Ock if that counts... how many does it have to be? Miles already dealt with Peter Parker's and his uncle's. Is there a minimum of 3 or something? The Movie brush past the explanation so quick that the drama of him escaping the Spider-base could not resonate with me.
@@shinjiikari4285 Thing is, it's never explained in the movie. And it's not necessarily for every Spider-Man. For Tom Holland, is it Iron Man's death? They never mention an Uncle Ben in his story. And he's Spider-Man for quite some time before Aunt May's death.
Think about this: Spot is a danger to the multiverse. Breaking canon is a danger to the multiverse. However, Spot caused a "canon event" in Indian Spiderman's world. Had he not done that, then wouldn't that break canon?
They said they had a "model" for predicting canon events, but then does that mean that they knew Spot would do what he did and yet they tried to capture him anyway? But they're the ones blaming Miles for breaking canon. Unless they were purposely failing to capture Spot, but I think that raises even more questions.
I think the event was supposed to happen a little later but spot made it happen earlier or something
@@WolfyPlays07 What does that mean? Didn't the disaster only happen because of Spot? At least that's what I remember. If a separate disaster would've happened later, then how is Spot's disaster the "canon" one? How did the "model" predict it and label it as a canon?
@@Oscaragious it means, that spot made the Canon event happen earlier, it's not a major change to have it happen earlier so it wouldn't have destroyed the universe
@@WolfyPlays07 That didn't answer all my questions.
@@Oscaragious The canon event is the the captain dies underneath the rubble by spidermans arch nemesis. Since Indian spiderman has only been at this for 6 months we can assume that he doesn't have a nemesis yet, so the captain dies much later. But since The Spot came into the universe and is the arch nemesis of a spiderman thats actually there, it sped up the canon event.
TLDR: Spot cause the canon event to happen earlier.
The momentum I felt in this movie really stopped when The Spot suddenly became unimportant to the rest of the story. It also stopped when he went to the Spiderverse headquarters place

The movie is definately woke, but to me woke is not a bad thing. Woke means representation, and bigots think thats bad, they made it a buzzword so its not obvious to themselves. This shit makes me so angry. A bad movie is a bad movie but a bad movie (or even a great movie) with a minority of any kind is targeted by gender and skin tone obsessed agenda pushers. They have obvious mental illness and i hope they can find redemption.
It's good though, let the racists reveal themselves, they'll get found out and people will abandon them.
Lots of the Spider-people like to mess with Miguel because he takes himself so seriously, and he doesn't like it when they joke around like your average Spider-Person. Ben Reily is a play on those super serious 90's comics that always had tons of inner dialogue. And Peter B wearing a bathrobe* while being an enthusiastic parent isn't "demasculating" (And he literally says that understood the metaphor, meaning he didn't need it to be explained). I think you're taking the Canon plotline too seriously, these events (not just deaths) happen differently for different Spider-People, but they must and will happen if nothing from another universe interferes. Every Spider-Man except for Miles (and Miguel at first) agree that those events had to happen for them to become who they are. And 50101 Spider-Man DIDN'T KNOW Inspector Singh was going to die, because that's how it's supposed to play out. Spider-Punk stole the tech needed to make the watch from the Society, and the Go Home Machine works on a different principle. Miles isn't meant to be the better Spider-Man; he's specifically risking his entire universe just to try to save his Dad, which is pretty selfish in the grand scheme. And Gwen's Dad was literally about to arrest her, was there any better choice than to go with them? Plus that whole tangent on the voicing was just whiney.
Wow, actually a guy who thinks like me! Cool
Yeah I thought this was a tough watch.. I get hating on things that make zero sense, but this whole video felt very boomer/hate this new generation type cliche. I usually like his takes, but the only ones that made sense were about sound travel or physics… in an animated movie… hopefully next one is better.
You say that while a pregnant woman literally tells Peter to shut up and he listens. Also why the hell is he swinging around with a baby? Where tf is MJ?
There is way too much cringe in this movie and he provides multiple examples of woke grooming and propaganda just crammed into the film out of place. It hampers the experience for anyone with half a brain.
I don't blame Miguel for taking it seriously after what happened to the universe he was enjoying his time with "his" daughter. PTSD and guilt over involuntary genocide takes a toll on you. And I don't blame him when he hates others joking around, even insulting him when Gwen called him the "Blue Panther"(As though Black Panther does exist in her world apparently), "Dark Garfield"(I'm guessing Andrew Garfield? She knew about TASM Spider-Man somehow?), etc. Imagine if we can call Gwen Stacy "Scarlet Spider Wannabe", "Felicity Hardy Lite", "Gwen Stacy the Spider-Gwen"(similar to Danny Fenton as Danny Phantom. At least the show jokes about the name). Like really, would anyone in their right mind call her Ghost-Spider as the comics want her to be called if their own titles still kept up with calling her Spider-Gwen? When ITSV also have her say that she's the one-and-only Spider-Gwen?
Yeah, but treating Ben Reily like a constant joke isn't all that funny if he's gonna be taken out of the screen so easily. Twice. And especially the second time. First time is because his web-shooter was taken advantage of as a make-shift explosive by Miles, which is fine since it's a chase scene. But the second time is when he doesn't seem to take himself seriously as well when he dicked around and got forced into the portal Gwen created without his Spider-Sense alerting him of her.
That doesn't stop them from making Peter B Parker be self-aware of being a bad parent for bringing his baby along. While we should give a pass for Jessica Drew for being a literal Mel from TLOU2. But hey, good thing Ellie's not around, right? Nor is that one guy from the DMC reboot with the rifle too. Or anyone who has no remorse for murdering two people while they might even joke about hitting two birds with one stone.
And it doesn't really stop the fact that the E42 Spider, which is an anomaly (and an important factor in the idea of Spider-Man, might I add), pretty much created two Spider-Men in one Earth which should be an outside interference, as well as the fact that the Collider's test of acquiring the E42 Spider left Earth-42 without a Spider-Man. Another external interference. Not to mention, the numerous Spider-People from ITSV were all glitching out on their own without messing up E1610's space-time. 5 to 6 Spider-People, if we count Peni's robot as one of them since it's a separate being, in one Earth. And those 2 Earths seems fine, especially E42 since there has seem to be no problems for its stability for as long as 1610 Miles being the new Spider-Man. Yet, for some reason, the Vulture's single presence caused the mall he was fighting in with Jessica, Miguel and Gwen to also glitch out and affect the universe. Maybe not as effective as the Collider in ITSV when it was activated, but it's still something he alone can do and in a shorter amount of time compared to the numerous outsiders in ITSV.
Hell, Inspector Singh's circumstances for his supposed death was caused by an anomaly(The Spot) who already altered the timeline on a grand scale that actually causes the incident of falling rubble to happen in the first place, a supposed canon event. Yet Miles is being portrayed as the problem for stopping this from happening? Stopping a mess up in the "canon event" that is created by an anomaly? And Miguel is supposed to be antagonistic towards Miles for it instead of The Spot?
As for Spider-Punk, I'm pretty sure he could've helped Miles return to his universe properly if the Go Home Machine can mess up his return. But I guess outing yourself that you quit is a better idea than teleporting to Miles (if Gwen can find Miles' apartment without knowing in ITSV and still create a portal right in it, then so can Hobie) and quickly getting him home safe, isn't it?
As for the rest, I agree with your points on some level. But the movie has a lot of issues that is hard for anyone to justify and defend.
@@asdtgh8895the canon event stuff doesn’t make any sense to me. Multiverse means infinite number universes with an infinite number of outcomes. Just as there are an infinite number of universes where Uncle Ben dies, there’s infinite universes where he doesn’t, or infinite universes where spider-man doesn’t exist at all. I hope they clear this up in Beyond the Spiderverse, because it doesn’t make sense as it stands.
The whole canon plot in this movie and its parallels with Loki's plot seem like the writers compaining they cant just do whatever they want with an established hero or story.
This movie is overrated.
That is an opinion.
Does it occur to you that the canon might not really be exactly how it works and might be a lie created by the antagonist for how own purposes. I don’t really think criticising the plot is that productive until the second part is released and we actually know the full plot.
Ya know, that’s a fair criticism.
Throughout the movie Miguel's logic felt to me as if it was intentionally flimsy to set up the next movie.
@@ViperOnRR I think the film theory channel makes a good point that the way Miguel destroyed that universe wasn't because he broke the cannon but because he caused an incursion. an incursion happens when a being form another dimension spends too much time in another dimension which is what Miguel did. incursions are already a thing in the marvel universe
It is heavily implied that Miguel is either wrong about cannon events or is just lying. When Gwen comes back to her dimension to find that she disrupted the cannon, she says “wait, that must mean-“ and then cuts off.
Clearly, there’s something wrong with the cannon timeline theory. Something else is going on. This dude has no media literacy and completely forgets about character developments that happened in the first film.
Here's a novel idea, complete the story in one film
fellas is it female to be a father
NOOOOO the most masculine thing is to abandon your wife and not pay child support!!!
Literally wears pink the entire movie and becomes comically incompetent

Bro really didn’t pick up that Gwen talked to Miguel like that in the beginning because there was a whole other movie where she sees multiple spider people why tf would she be surprised to see another one.Just delete this video bro
i just don’t care about the multi verse. i like stories about peter parker being spider-man and that’s it.
Same here!
pretty weird to come to a video reviewing a movie where the story is explicitly not about Peter Parker, in fact it revolves around every Spiderman that isn't Peter Parker.
@@franklinturtleton6525 it’s weird that i’m subscribed to robot head and watch his videos?
I didn't watch the video
I just want proper Spiderman 2099 TV show/movie. Without any underlying messaging, modern politics or meta narratives. Just cyberpunk Spiderman story set in a distant future where a drug addict accidentally gains superpowers and slowly grows up to become a hero trying to fight for good in dystopian society. Am I asking for too much?
Avengers ruined hollywood writing. The snarky humor has now become the default writing template for all superhero movies, which is why they’re all unwatchable.
I was already getting sick of Joss Whedon's comedy style towards the end of Firefly. that was almost a decade ago and now it's everywhere.
No wonder Avengers didn't amaze me. The popularity had me slumping in confusion. I liked Buffy but Avengers felt like a bloated movie. This is coming from a Extroadinary Gentlemen movie fan.
its literally a movie about spider-men,
of course its going to be snarky humour
@@yasukeg4202Spiderman smacked the villain against a door & said "knock knock" before kicking them all the way through, every character in this movie besides the miles acts like theyre probing each othwr for weaknesses during every conversation.
Main reason the movie wasn’t good is because I didn’t care about any of the characters, I disliked them so much, when one of the spiders die or have a tragic event I just didn’t care, my thoughts were “lord am I glad that this boring ass character left”
Time traveling is a whole pandora box that very few writers can crack... and most importantly... that can close. We'll see in the next one.
This isn't really a time-traveling story, This is a multi verse story
This has nothing to do with time travel.

Thanks Robot, I was going to see this, but it looks like absolute trash. Waaay too meta. I mean, what the hell is this!?!?
I really don’t like it when studios or movies in general show pregnant women as kick-ass fighters.
I mean what’s the message they’re trying to convey?
Pregnant women can be irresponsible?
Ikr, especially if they have a million different spiderman to fill in suddenly for her.
I thought the same thing in Avatar 2... If I were the chief, who was the father of the unborn child, I would've tied her to a chair if I had to lol.
Okay, you can't be serious right? It's fantasy. It's not meant to be a mathematical equation or a scientific formula, which is how you lot now watch film. No one with a working brain thinks a pregnant woman could REALLY fight, it's symbolic that's she's a bad ass.
Do people hate women so much that you watch this that you can't even appreciate the strength it takes to go through pregnancy and give birth? That's literally all the character represents (and yes my guy, it's fine to celebrate that).
@@dunnowy123if she dies that child dies. There are other ways to show the strength of pregnancy other than showing literal strength. Like be honest with me would you take your baby to work? Or i don't know in some other unknown universe where you could die at an instant.

Does this guy genuinely think it’s emasculating to have Peter be proud of his daughter? This guy has some serious masculinity issues
peter was reduced to a literal joke in this movie
@silcoxjakob But even then he still manages to have a better life than you ever will
@@SilverTypo5081 sick burn dude
@@silcoxjakob there’s a difference between a joke at the expense of a character and a joke involving the character. Peter being proud of his daughter and bringing her with him is not meant to paint Peter as dumb or a joke, it’s just supposed to be wholesome fun with a character who is usually very down on his luck. Peter still understand the brevity of the situation when talking to Miles and he still takes action at the end of the film to save Miles.
I saw another comment saying it was woke peter had a daughter and not a son, some of these people are actually braindead

I'm getting a bit tired of all these comments whining about Peter being underpowered or the butt of every joke when he is the only one aside from Miguel able to catch up with miles - while also taking care of a baby, without any 'extra special' powers or superior technology. His skill level and experience is obviously off the charts compared to almost all other spider man versions. If there is a real problem in the narritive of him being underpowered, it should be more that Miles is REDICULOULSY overpowered, essentially being spider man ++. Though, in that regard the movie does a good job making him likeable enough for it to be overlooked.
He did mention Miles being overpowered.
He's not even underpowered he literally was the only spiderman to catch up to miles and have a conversation with him as well. If anything he's the most emotionally intelligent spiderman in this movie given how his arc from the first one all the way to this one too.
Okay every Spider-man except for Miguel has Spidey sense and it alerts them when they are in danger. Miles was RUNNING AWAY from ALL the spider people he wasn't posing any physical threat to any of them. I'm not sure if you know this but Spider-man losing his spidey might as well be halving his affectiveness. Also Miles was getting absolutely destroyed by Miguel the entire movie except for a few moments where he countered him
@@FiniteMan1933That's a flimsy head canon excuse, that fact that none of Spidermen could catch up to Miles outside Peter Parker with a child. It's make them weak incompetent and stupid.
Peter b Parker is like uncle iroh he knows he's strong and doesn't need to prove it or be seen as it. He's a f around and find out kinda man.
The movie is literally about Miles Morales changing the pre-written law. what are you talkin' about?
the fact that the multiverse just says things should go its way is goofy
Lecturing you on clichés when your character is all clichés , lol.
I don't understand why Peter Paker would ever bring his baby with him. Like he's suppose to be responsible for the safety of the kid and was like hey strap the baby to my chest and go fight bad guys or get into dangerous situation.
He didn't really fight any bad guys at the spider-society, presumably the safest place for a spider-man. Plus she has super durability like him
He didnt fight at all. Plus he cant realy leave a super powerd spider baby un atended.
Like that dumb pregnant woman in TLOU2 who decides to get into fistfights while 9 months pregnant

Peter B Parker literally admits it is ‘bad parenting’. Is it stupid, yes. And he acknowledges it anyway because Peter B is in a state of ridiculous happiness he has never been in before.
