Thank you for this, Radney. It holds a special place in my heart. I am a Veteran, had a son in the military, and now my grandson is in. It means a lot to have songs like this, with whats going on in this country today. Thank you again. God bless
My brother was Air Force, I was Navy. He passed away in 2018 in Perth, Western Australia. We played this song at his funeral. My nephew and I did a proper flag folding during the ceremony. The Aussie‘s had never seen a ceremony like that. We sent him home properly. Thank you Radney
Thanks from an Air Force veteran, 1979-1999. I’m teary-eyed from listening to “Angel Flight.” In memory of the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who gave all.
When my brother left for Vietnam, I wrote a prayer in my Bible that he never have to be the passenger on an Angel flight. God granted that prayer. He came home alive. He passed 7 years after he came back stateside. 40 Harley Davidsons accompanied his hearse to his grave. But I listen to this song and my heart breaks for our people who didn't make it back. Was on a flight ready to board. Saw a soldier standing with a folded flag. Coming from a military family, I knew there was a soldier on board. It hit me hard. Was traveling first class. Asked the Delta desk to switch our seats. They argued with me but I was adamant. I'll never forget that moment. Soldier kept telling me no, I didn't need to do it. I told him do it for my dad that I lost in Vietnam. Watched them take the casket off the plane. It broke me.
As a veteran, this song always brings tears to my eyes. Me & my family that have served we were lucky to have been able to come home. There are SO MANY that didn't get to come home to their families. On this Veteran's Day 2023, I'm remembering my brother's that took this flight. It's hard to get through it every year. I Love You Guys and always I will remember you all and tell your stories. Heros were They.
I feel bad for those who wanted to serve but couldn't, but only a little resentment for those who could have served but did not. Serving was an honor and privilege they will never know or never understand.
I wanted nothing in this world but to serve in the Marines. I was all set but then they found out I had cluster migraines.... bam... no longer eligible to serve. It crushed me.
@@jacksprat9344 ya I trained 5-6 days a week with a recruiter for almost 2 years to serve. He told me not to say anything about my migraines cause I hadn't had 1 in a while. Somehow they found out right before I was to go to basic.
It be 1987 when I went home for good, but it still hurt the same today as it did then seeing those caskets draped with our flag. Angel Flight Crew have a hell of a job to do. Thank you everyone of you for bringing our fallen brother and sisters home.
This song means so much to our family. My niece and her husband lost their eldest son in 2010 to an IED in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan. May you forever eternally Rest In Peace Alex. 🙏🙏
I used to listen to this with my dad and he would tell us stories about his service in Vietnam and the meaning of the Angel Flight. Too many soldiers come home with the flag drapped coffin. Thank you to all our veterans and their families.
Watching this always brings me to tears, because there have been members of my family who served in the military. Thank goodness for the Angel Flight crews who have the honor of bringing our military personnel back home.
My Great Uncle was killed in Vietnam, i now have his burial flag. Thank you to the man who brought him home. Thank you to all men and women who served. Know that we care, and we will cary your memory and deeds with us forever. Lest we forget.
Wish we knew when Angel Flights coming in or heroes laid to rest that we too could line the streets to show our respect & gratitude for their sacrifice as well as a show of love & support to their families for THEIR sacrifice. God bless
Angel flights are wonderful. Thankful for the person or persons who created them. Thankful for the DNA that made sure the service person made it home and gave families closures.
This song is to all my family and friends that I’ve lost along my life I loved each and everyone of them with all my heart now their on secret ground with the angels and our lord Jesus Christ Godspeed to each and all of them . The men and women who have and are currently serving will always have a special place in my heart. Going to go dry some tears now.......
We were coming back from Europe empty, our C-130 brought back 17 brothers. We had various countries escorting us , they flew missing man formation as respect.
I took a Marine home back to Davenport IA back in 1993. The respect the flight crew and passengers showed when I got up and stepped off the plane to receive that Marine from the belly of the plane. You could hear a pindrop.
All of us veterans of the United States Military owe these heroes; our brothers and sisters the utmost respect to never forget their sacrifice. And to live a good and productive life in there honor. As they gave the ultimate sacrifice, and they will not have the chance to grow old with there loved ones . May God bless them and keep them protected in his arms. And my God bless all that have served the United States.
I cry each time I hear this awesome song. We had an Angel flight in 1969. It breaks my heart everytime, and at same time brings me comfort for respect shown.
It’s not heart wrenching! It’s a warriors death, when you stand before the Lord and he says, “hard journeys end wee welcome home son. Enter for you’ve been through hell, now you’re home in glory”!

@@RichardL.1453 It was in your heart man. It was in your heart.
@@jacksprat9344 ya I trained 5-6 days a week with a recruiter for almost 2 years to serve. He told me not to say anything about my migraines cause I hadn't had 1 in a while. Somehow they found out right before I was to go to basic.
My deepest regret is that I could not serve. I would have gladly gave my life if it came to that.
True but it's not for all.
We go were we are sent
To serve for all
FROM ROMANIA WITH ADMIRATION AND RESPECT FOR THE BRAVE AMERICANS SOLDIERS👏
Thank you.
Thank you! It means a lot

I am north of US - Canada. It affects us all. Wish there was less bloodshed. But evil needs to met face to face. Thank you! - Cheers !
It be 1987 when I went home for good, but it still hurt the same today as it did then seeing those caskets draped with our flag. Angel Flight Crew have a hell of a job to do. Thank you everyone of you for bringing our fallen brother and sisters home.
I wonder how many souls have been brought home on the angel flight❤and yes they are souls returning home
Our congress and senate, president need to wake up and put more money and respect to our military servicemen, tears my ❤️ out
This really hits the heart after hearing about the 13 Marines and sailors yesterday…
At least we brought them home. It's the least we could do.
All 24years old and Younger
Don’t forget about the other 2500 that went before! Least we forgot. Just because the “news” stops, we must remember them all who gave all!

God bless all those who served and the Ones who payed the Ultimate Price serving our Country. They are not forgotten Amen.
God Bless All Who Have Served And May All Who Gave All Know They Are Truly God’s Warriors … RIP

I'm 68 y old vet, and Everytime I hear this song I cry and remember my brothers that didn't come home from Vietnam.
What a great song. The Angel Flight Pilots and Crew all do a hell-of-a-job.
So many good men in my family and others Paid the ultimate price. Only to have our great Country stolen and sold out to communist China by xoe biden and the Marxist in the traitorous federal government.
@@palerider660 I feel you. As someone who fought for this country, I am truly heart broken. What was it all for?
The angel flight pilots are have one of the hardest jobs imo
@@Joooooonf9 my heart breaks the families left behind. Our brother KIA night b4 coming home. Was a heli pilot in Vietnam under no fly rule, but he did anyway to try to save save comrades. Our hearts eternally broken. God bless all who serve💕🙏🏼✌🇺🇸
We marines respect and honor all angel pilots and personnel. Semper Fidelis my brothers and sisters
Radney thank you! This reminds me of my friend and former crewmate Jimmy Dyer. Jim and 26 of his shipmates are still on patrol off the coast of San Diego. They gave thier lives serving in peace time no less significant. Your speaks volumes for me. P3 Navy Anytime, Anywhere world wide. Patron Fifty still on Patrol, salute.
I am a retired Master Sergeant...with more than 20 years on active duty. I joined the military back with Richard Nixon was President...thank you for this. For an old man, tough and grizzled, I will say I got a little emotional. Some of my friends have taken the angel flight...
This song means so much trying to hold back years

LOVE THIS SONG, I CRY ALMOST EVERY TIME I HEAR IT,,
I was proud and honored to record this as a square dance record.
From an oldish broken warrior I'll say this, we stand to with our glasses ready to salute all who've made the ultimate sacrifice
I have several family members that have served and/or are currently serving. I don't know how I made it 9 years and never heard this song, but I felt blessed hearing it tonight. The men and women who have and are currently serving will always have a special place in my heart. Going to go dry some tears now.......
Thanks to those who gave all so we could live in safety ❤
We were coming back from Europe empty, our C-130 brought back 17 brothers. We had various countries escorting us , they flew missing man formation as respect.
A welcome salute to you from a Vietnam Vet USMC. Thank you for a job well done where ever you have to go to get one of HEROES TO BRING THEM HOME.
Many thanks for the men and women for the sacrifice for the flight home for my friends many thanks can’t say enough my respect ✊
So sad; so beautiful! Full of honor and respect! God bless and protect the Angel Flights’ pilots.
The most beautiful, yet heart wrenching song I've heard yet about our military heros.
Without a doubt!
That shitty sand box isn't worth a single soldiers life.
Certainly not worth another single American life more. Too bad joe is fumbling this all up
