My husband flew these Angel Flights from Nam bringing our wounded & dead back home. Always, ALWAYS so sad, so sobering. He would go back & salute them all. We owe our men & women who gave everything for us. And to those who came home with less than what they left home with. WE OWE THEM! 😢💯💔🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you, my dad just turned 78 on Memorial Day, Last of a forgotten breed of men who paved the way. Now we got Gen Z and can't do anything without a cell phone. God help us all.
I’m 73, your dad is among the greatest of our generation. Never, never, forget that fact. No one can ever say differently. Walking behind the Angel flight are the people who make it all happen. But especially those who stand at the door at the earliest break of the day or the silence of night. The officers and NCOs who first notify the family. Theirs is a difficult responsibility. Of a mothers’ whose eyes plead “don’t tell me what I know you must” as you stand face to face. Or the father, with clenched fists, who wants to avenge that which has happened. Brothers, sisters, wives, husbands, children, all with broken hearts and minds racing. This has be to done and done well. Give them a thought when you see a President checking his watch. As of 10/22/2021 the scum count is up to 344. These haters need to pack their bags and get the heck out of this country, maybe go to Afghanistan, Iran or even Russia where I'm certain they'll fit right in! Some gave a little, some gave a lot and some gave everything they had to give just so LOSERS like this could do what they do best.....hate!
Amen. As a military family of long tradition I completely agree. My grandson was deployed and his plane nearly shot down. Thankfully my Marine came home in one piece.
We were coming back from Europe empty, our C-130 brought back 17 brothers. We had various countries escorting us , they flew missing man formation as respect.
Was on a flight ready to board. Saw a soldier standing with a folded flag. Coming from a military family, I knew there was a soldier on board. It hit me hard. Was traveling first class. Asked the Delta desk to switch our seats. They argued with me but I was adamant. I'll never forget that moment. Soldier kept telling me no, I didn't need to do it. I told him do it for my dad that I lost in Vietnam. Watched them take the casket off the plane. It broke me.
Thanks from an Air Force veteran, 1979-1999. I’m teary-eyed from listening to “Angel Flight.” In memory of the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who gave all.
When my brother left for Vietnam, I wrote a prayer in my Bible that he never have to be the passenger on an Angel flight. God granted that prayer. He came home alive. He passed 7 years after he came back stateside. 40 Harley Davidsons accompanied his hearse to his grave. But I listen to this song and my heart breaks for our people who didn't make it back. God bless America again.
Thank you for this, Radney. It holds a special place in my heart. I am a Veteran, had a son in the military, and now my grandson is in. It means a lot to have songs like this, with whats going on in this country today. Thank you again. God bless
Thank you to you, your son and grandson for your service. I'm truly grateful to you all for what you do. God bless you, your family and all our wonderful Military service members and families. 🇺🇲💚🇺🇲💚🇺🇲💚
I’ve watched that video I dozen times in today for the 13th time it just dawned on me all the flares I came out of the airplane. Those Casey are dispersed pawn attack to draw missiles, but it was in the shape of an Angel and bless.

My heart is with you, Susan. I come from a military family, myself. A great- uncle, was POW, Battan survivor. With sadness, and strength, I always thank those serving. A funny thing. The cast, writers, and crew of a silly, little show, called M*A*S*H, kind of put the bad things, in prospective, for me. I hope today, is better, and brighter for you.
Susan,. I'm sorry for your loss. My Father a WW2 Marine passed in 2019. He left me with so many great times and memories. He rarely spoke of his service until I wanted to join the Marines. He then opened up about it to me and reminded me that there's a life after that and to keep that in mind. I just thank God that such men lived to be honest. God Bless.
My Dad flew the dead and wounded out of Korea. He was a Kyushu Gypsy. All he ever wanted to do was fly. He fell off a wing and broke his back, but wouldn't let them fly him out. Hid it from the uppers and his men laced him up in a girdle every day, helping him dress and tying his boots
I love the bond we military people have. I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't served. You'll never know the closeness we brothers and sisters have. Great song gets me everytime.
@James Arnett Don't fret my brother. You will meet other veterans in your life that you will bond to ... Even closer than those of the past. All you have to do is give them a chance. Welcome home. Nam vet '69
Well said! I've been out since '99 and I still keep in touch with many of my brothers and sisters! This song gets me in the feels everytime I listen to it!
I'm a retired airbus captain and I flew several "bus loads" of veterans to see the monuments in Washington DC. i was also a Special Forces SGT back in the 70's. Every morning in Camp McKaw they woud play this Balad of the Green Berets .... and all day "are you ready to quit yet?", You see, they were pushing us to the limits to see if we'd fold under pressure. It was the hardest training I had ever completed ..... so proud to wear my Green Beret. 10SFGA Medic on an ODA (A Team). It opened many doors for me. thank you for that opportunity to serve.
I cannot make it through this song without tears welling up in my eyes. To all my brothers and sisters. I will gladly stand beside you any day. God Bless all of you.
James Burton ... It is respect. Something many didn't have for us when we came back from Nam. I'm glad most people have it for my brothers and sisters returning home now. Thank you and God bless.
I'm on Facebook. And I do keep in contact with friends and family on messenger where it's not a public conversation, instead of comments on a Post. I even think it's inappropriate when my younger relatives tag me in something they posted 🤣 How hard is it to send that particular item directly to me? 😁
VERY heart touching. Thank you to all veterans and active military personnel of our great country. GOD bless you all. Thank you for your sacrifice. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
My Son was in the army I prayed every day for his safety that he would come home to his family. He did come home a strong and proud of his fellow soldiers.
This song, their mission always makes me cry!! For all our brave troops serving to keep us safe, and free! All gave some, some gave all!! God's soldiers looking after us all... 🙏🙏🙏
The images are enough to bring the tears to my eyes, the words of the song are enough to roll them down my face.. Blessed are the crews that take on this sacred duty.
Wish we knew when Angel Flights coming in or heroes laid to rest that we too could line the streets to show our respect & gratitude for their sacrifice as well as a show of love & support to their families for THEIR sacrifice. God bless
Angel flights are wonderful. Thankful for the person or persons who created them. Thankful for the DNA that made sure the service person made it home and gave families closures.
I feel bad for those who wanted to serve but couldn't, but only a little resentment for those who could have served but did not. Serving was an honor and privilege they will never know or never understand.
I wanted nothing in this world but to serve in the Marines. I was all set but then they found out I had cluster migraines.... bam... no longer eligible to serve. It crushed me.
@@jacksprat9344 ya I trained 5-6 days a week with a recruiter for almost 2 years to serve. He told me not to say anything about my migraines cause I hadn't had 1 in a while. Somehow they found out right before I was to go to basic.
It be 1987 when I went home for good, but it still hurt the same today as it did then seeing those caskets draped with our flag. Angel Flight Crew have a hell of a job to do. Thank you everyone of you for bringing our fallen brother and sisters home.
Thank you for this song. My next door neighbor friend who was more like a brother was killed while he was giving his all. Watching the video and listening to this song helps the pain knowing Eddie was escorted home on an Angel Flight with people who cared and knowing the Towers gave Eddie's flight, permission to land first. Nothing can take away the pain of his death but this song has helped my heart. Again, thank you!
My neighbor, Eddie that I wrote about being killed in Vietnam, well, his 99 year old sweet Mama just joined him in Heaven, April 25th, a day she’s been waiting for since his death. Once again she gets to wrap her arms around her son. I asked Jesus to send her the best angels, her husband and her 3 sons to escort her home to Heaven. I believe He did.. God Bless all those who served and are serving. Hugs and prayers to those who lost a loved one while serving our country.
Watching this always brings me to tears, because there have been members of my family who served in the military. Thank goodness for the Angel Flight crews who have the honor of bringing our military personnel back home.
Respect for those who served, are now serving, and who will serve in the future. This song is a fitting tribute to those who took an angel flight home and to those that escorted them home.
Thank God for your song Angel Flight my father was Air Force and my husband was Navy and this song brings tears to my eyes know when I hear it I think of all the men and women that don't make it back alive and my heart goes out to their families

On this Veteran's Day 2023, I'm remembering my brother's that took this flight. It's hard to get through it every year. I Love You Guys and always I will remember you all and tell your stories. Heros were They.
When I listen to this and remember Joe Biden looking at his watch I am so sad....My husband has 2 purple hearts and a bronze star. I thank God he came back alive and mentally healthy. So much to be thankful for when you remembr so many did not. God Bless those families.
That was a disgrace,, he looked at his watch every 2 minutes,, that's disgusting, the man has no honor, even if he's incompetent, with dementia, and a touch of all timers You can still hold your head high with honor. Thank you for your post.👍🇲🇾
As both a man and a vet this song holds more truth then words can say. In today's society a man is worthless except for what others can get from him once we have nothing left to give no one cares they move on

I can only listen around Memorial Day. It keeps me grounded and makes me appreciate everything more. If not for sacrifice we aren’t the country we are.
It makes me so proud of our service. May all our fallen Heros know our hearts owe you a debt of gratitude you keeping us free and I'm humbled at the sacrifice you and your family gave so this stranger writting this could live in freedom. Thank you from the daughter of an ARMY Hero even at my old age I stand proudly at the sight our flag flying in our yard. God Bless America
I thank God for each one that has and will serve in our Military and those that have given all. Thanks for this video . Makes things real. Thanks to each one that has flown the Angel Flight and a shout out to an US Air Force pilot that has done this. Alex Baker a big thanks for serving.
I took a Marine home back to Davenport IA back in 1993. The respect the flight crew and passengers showed when I got up and stepped off the plane to receive that Marine from the belly of the plane. You could hear a pindrop.
Thank you so much for this song. Makes me tear-up every time I listen to it. A crisp salute to all who have served our country, and a very special thanks to those who gave their all...
Excellent recognition of our troops during such a time filled with deep pain. As a woman Vietnam Era Navy WAVE Veteran I proudly salute you.! I remember you! Love you...You have a special place in my heart.
AMEN thanks
I was nailed.... in 91 last in first out. as a Medic I knew what it meant. I thank the Pilots and the medical Crew I will never forget my flight.
Well said
For all of our brave men and woman who gave their lives to protect the United States of America ! God Bless !!!
My deepest respect and thanks to those brave men bringing the men home thank You for Your service
Gid bless you
God bless America and his heroes
I love the bond we military people have. I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't served. You'll never know the closeness we brothers and sisters have. Great song gets me everytime.
Give them hell...give them sorro, but in the end to serve is both, amen from a brother who has served in the uk, amen
@James Arnett Don't fret my brother. You will meet other veterans in your life that you will bond to ... Even closer than those of the past. All you have to do is give them a chance. Welcome home. Nam vet '69
Pro Patria!
Thank you for your service 💖
Well said! I've been out since '99 and I still keep in touch with many of my brothers and sisters! This song gets me in the feels everytime I listen to it!
I love this song .one of the best songs I ever heard.I love you you guys.awesome amen 🙏.
Heroes all.. Thank you Sir for your service ❤❤❤❤
I cannot make it through this song without tears welling up in my eyes. To all my brothers and sisters. I will gladly stand beside you any day. God Bless all of you.
Rest in peace those who served and paid the ultimate price always in our prayers and never forgotten
This song still makes me cry every time I hear it.
You think? Remember Happy Memories! These Men and Women, did good for you x.
Me too. Someone in my family has been in WWII (dad & uncles), Korea (uncle) and Nam (husband Vietnam era & most of my generation in country)
I cry every time I listen to it.
me to nam 60 71
Listen no body knows me or never will but this is the utmost respect
James Burton ... It is respect. Something many didn't have for us when we came back from Nam. I'm glad most people have it for my brothers and sisters returning home now. Thank you and God bless.
Nobody knows me either, but I'm here if you need a old-fashioned pen pal.
Hugs from Montana.

@@cindyhaun3805 just A simple person is all I ask for
I'm on Facebook.
💯🌷💯💦
I don't know what we're doing without you angel butt

Brother I love you

God Bless our soldiers. They will never be forgotten!
This really hits the heart after hearing about the 13 Marines and sailors yesterday…
At least we brought them home. It's the least we could do.
All 24years old and Younger
Don’t forget about the other 2500 that went before! Least we forgot. Just because the “news” stops, we must remember them all who gave all!
Yes it does! God Bless our military 🙏 Never forget the fallen who gave their all🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

The images are enough to bring the tears to my eyes, the words of the song are enough to roll them down my face.. Blessed are the crews that take on this sacred duty.
Thank you many of us have not forgotten many 🦅🇺🇸🦅❤️ U S Navy 🦅🇺🇸🦅
Miss the crews that took these flights with us, incredible United States Military members. God bless them and their families.
Thank you for this song!!
I saw this man in concert at the Steifel Theatre in Salina, KS, USA. This song has stuck with me ever since.
@@RichardL.1453 It was in your heart man. It was in your heart.
@@jacksprat9344 ya I trained 5-6 days a week with a recruiter for almost 2 years to serve. He told me not to say anything about my migraines cause I hadn't had 1 in a while. Somehow they found out right before I was to go to basic.
My deepest regret is that I could not serve. I would have gladly gave my life if it came to that.
True but it's not for all.
We go were we are sent
To serve for all
It be 1987 when I went home for good, but it still hurt the same today as it did then seeing those caskets draped with our flag. Angel Flight Crew have a hell of a job to do. Thank you everyone of you for bringing our fallen brother and sisters home.
I thank you to all for the blanket of freedom we sleep under. God bless you all
Thank you for this song.
FROM ROMANIA WITH ADMIRATION AND RESPECT FOR THE MESSAGE 👍
GOD BLESS AN PROTECT OUR HEROS ALL!!
Our brother had an Angel flight. Beautiful song. I usually cry. 1969, Vietnam. Rotating home next day. My big brother, 24 y.o.
It is never easy to lose someone u love, but to loose them in war is a whole different story.
So sad; so beautiful! Full of honor and respect! God bless and protect the Angel Flights’ pilots.
Watching this always brings me to tears, because there have been members of my family who served in the military. Thank goodness for the Angel Flight crews who have the honor of bringing our military personnel back home.
Thank you from a Navy veteran 1969 to 1973. Nam vet.
Hey, Vic mate, im a pommy/Aussie, and i care about the boys and girls that go and fight otger peoples war to uphold the peace and freedom our fatgers and firefatgers established.
Thanjyou for your service.
Our congress and senate, president need to wake up and put more money and respect to our military servicemen, tears my ❤️ out
On this Veteran's Day 2023, I'm remembering my brother's that took this flight.
That was a disgrace,, he looked at his watch every 2 minutes,, that's disgusting, the man has no honor, even if he's incompetent, with dementia, and a touch of all timers
You can still hold your head high with honor. Thank you for your post.👍🇲🇾

As both a man and a vet this song holds more truth then words can say. In today's society a man is worthless except for what others can get from him once we have nothing left to give no one cares they move on
To all of you in every branch of service past present and future. A heart felt thank you from the son of a USS IOWA vet
God bless the fallen for they paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Thank yall and your families for your extreme service. God bless and keep you in his warm embrace.

This song means so much to our family. My niece and her husband lost their eldest son in 2010 to an IED in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan. May you forever eternally Rest In Peace Alex. 🙏🙏
My Great Uncle was killed in Vietnam, i now have his burial flag. Thank you to the man who brought him home. Thank you to all men and women who served. Know that we care, and we will cary your memory and deeds with us forever. Lest we forget.
I can only listen around Memorial Day. It keeps me grounded and makes me appreciate everything more. If not for sacrifice we aren’t the country we are.
Thank you boys bring them home God bless you
Rip all the men and women that have fallen fighting for freedom
I came on this by accident. I am 70 and still cry when I remember those I lost. Sorry but Men do cry.
Yes they do. It is ok. Sending you a hug from TX❤️🇺🇲
Thank you
Excellent recognition of our troops during such a time filled with deep pain. As a woman Vietnam Era Navy WAVE Veteran I proudly salute you.! I remember you! Will never forget the 6am doorbell ring, and the 2 soldiers confirming our brothers death. Our Mother fainted. I was in denial for untold.years since Tommy was a survivalist. I still cry. He was under no fly rule, as rotating home next day...but flew to save friends.
Love this tribute and can not thank all those who gave some and especially the ones who gave all! May God receive you in Jesus, name.
