  • Nepal is facing an unprecedented wildfire disaster. Amid forest fires, recently Kathmandu became the most polluted in the world.
    It is expected that the Himalayan nation will record over 9,000 forest fire cases by the end of this year.
    As per the Nepali authorities, the country lacks institutional mechanisms and policies to tackle forest fires.
    What is the government doing about the crisis?

    Classic example of couch journalism.
    Reporting Kathmandu from Colombo using stock video footages and pictures.

    Yesterday it rained so Kathmandu is not in top 10 anymore although its only for some time. Fires are still raging and the air quality will eventually decrease.

    Twin router helicopters could help dump water. But most could be helped by forest management mini water catchments. Swales. Vertical wind driven pumps to lift up from river. Drip irrigation could help grow timber fast enough people would protect the erosion control tree farms on hills.

    Nepal was covered by forest 22% in 1999 and In 2022 its 40% about 20% increasement of forest in 20 years .DUE to winter dry leaves fallen all over jungle its usual Every year forest fire occure in this season .Nepal forest is important for all south asian country MAINLY INDIA because Begnning of almost every rivers are from Nepal. So they should help us rather than critisizing us. Talking about pollution NEPAL terai reagion have air pollution in winter and other time due to burning of harvested crops by INDIAN FARMERS in UP and BIHAR which can be easily controled by government.

    ha ha ha this so called reporter is trying to downplay the New Delhi pollution by pretending Kathmendu is much polluted and Beijing is also very polluted. The thing is firstly, Beijing air quality had improved alot and now the yearly avearage pollution in the capital is considered as moderate. Whereas for New Delhi, the Indian capital is still considered as the most polluted capital in the world. As for Kathmandu, the main pollution was caused by natural disater (wildfires) which is very different from the pollution in New Delhi that caused by human activities.

    *Why all this hue and cry on these nepali forest fire, it's a natural phenomenon around the world, even most developed countries like USA and Canada can escape then where does nepal stands.*
    *Secondary it's nepals problem to contain such fires and if they don't have facilities or capability to do-so then they should run to there foster papa china to bail them out.*

    • @moktan289
      @moktan289 Год назад

      Bhai your father is Chinese commies. Bro it's because lack of facilities, fucked up policies only made by corrupt politician to benefit themselves. Plus do you even know why Nepal is politically unstable ??
      It is because big 3 parties are corrupt and power hungry that's why coalition government always fails plus on top of that most of the political parties are small and can't compete to get seats in parliament. Hopefully Rabi Lamichhane's party will grow like BJP if it was opened 4 years ago, it would have taken the majority seats with their leaders as new PM but it was just opened recently I hope they will be the one that will sweep and be the next government 😂😂
