Fabulous and very uplifting! There's hope for the future, when we grow old and the young generations want to play faster and faster and hipper and hipper. I can't listen to them anymore. They annoy me to no end. Thank god those old ones are still there!
@@kennethreed8746 I don't think so; jazz back then had a much bigger market share than it does today. At one point it was the most popular music - same time this tune was released. Jazz radio, jazz musicians making TV appearances, record sales, the amount of jazz clubs - all in vast decline compared to today.
@@DocBrownGuitar Thats kinda bleeds into point, I was making a joke about the generalization how the popular music of the time continues to be look down upon by the older generation of it's time. When jazz was coming up, older people considered it to be the "Devil's music"
Fantastic! I remember the Mundell Lowe LP Porgy & Bess with Art Farmer,Tony Scott and Ben Webster ! In a time when there was many records of Porgy & Bess this was the best.
Around March 2015 in our Seattle studios! You can read more about the session with the link below. Thanks for watching! knkx.org/post/live-studio-session-great-guitars-mundell-bucky-and-john
Three old codgers are young again for a little while through the magic of music. What a treat!
This is a wonderful performance gentleman! Just keep swinging...
Bravo!!!! I wish I could perform like this in the future. Wonderful.💖

I bet old people back then used to hate this tyoe of playing since it was "hip" back then

Wonderful ! Somebody needs to tune his guitar
BRAVO !!!!
Please invite the greatest kenny burrell!
Not a bad pick. I’m a Joe pass cat but I feel he won’t be getting an invite 😂🤟🏼
Just look at em, They're still swingin . Great Guitars is right .
Average age at the time of recording this: 88 years old.
Love it. They can't even be bothered to foot tap. 😅
Is Bucky playing a 7 stringed Benedetto? I see Mundell is playing a Mapson, and John is playing his signature Eastman model.
I think is a c.f.martin
Dale unger bucky model :)
Why havent i found this earlier?
I thought Bucky pretty much has been playing the 7 stringed Benedetto for many decades.
Bucky is playing a 7 stringed Dale Unger
I though that the "Great Guitars" was Charlie Byrd, Barney Kessel and Herb Ellis.
I might have said Joe Pass for one of those, but regardless.....3 old Lions who
could still Roar.
Wish mapson was still activally building.
Great! When was this recording made?
