I was there that day and I waited in that line for GateKeeper to open. I only rode that, Dragster, and Steel Vengeance. It was almost an all day process to ride SV. Had to get in line for access passes at 1:30 and didn’t even end up getting on until 7:00. Missed my Maverick and Millie time slots by hours but was only 10 minutes late for Dragster. God that day was terrible.
God, Raptor is so pretty. It’s compact location on the midway is just beautiful. I often take this park for granted because I’m a Cleveland native, but it’s truly unlike anything else.
It was busy when I went 2 months ago. The busiest I’ve ever seen it to be honest. Though, I usually go during the end of April/early May. When a lot of places remain closed, all that does is bottleneck everyone into the places that are actually open. I’m a big hiker and visit a couple national parks every year. This year was the busiest I’ve ever seen it in the Smokey Mountains, Glacier National Park, and the Grand Canyon.
Great footage I am now 38 years old when I was a child we would go every year I went as a teenager and an adult. This is the best park in the United States if you want my opinion so many memories.
Does cedar point have the fast lane pass this year? I heard they didnt, oh and I went to kings island 3 days ago its been 6 years since I been last time. 4 years since I been to cedar point.
Loved seeing it all Bob. When you mentioned that the Steel Vengeance was way back here. Roughly how long of a wait was that? Loved the night footage too. You are still a master. No one does these park videos better than you and Sean. You are both legends in my eyes. Next season will be here before we know it. Hopefully we will all be in a safer environment by then. From past experience it looks like the two lines that Bob commented on where people were "camped out" was the lines for access passes and not the ride itself. Once they begin passing the passes out, then the line moves quite quickly as captured at 18:57. When I visited a little earlier in the year the Steel Vengeance access pass line went passed the railroad tracks by Gemini, but the line for the ride was contained to the queue within in the structure (which for me was a two and a half hour wait) People arriving early (with passes stamped for the upcoming hour) may begin to form a line that wraps behind the sign and may curl back along the lockers. These fall crowds are little crazy with next year looking to be pure insanity!
Tim K below explains the line situation well. I didn't ride anything, so I don't know any of the wait times. I couldn't imagine waiting 2-1/2 hours in a cue with other folks...too risky for me. Haven't seen Sean yet this season. I'm afraid that next season might look the same if we don't get our act together, but hopefully we'll have a vaccine widely available by then.
Was there on 10/17 & 10/18 and the coasters all had 70+ minute wait times. Most were over 90 minutes. Even the top 4 that needed an access pass had over an hour wait. IMO, for operating during pandemic conditions, CP let too many people in the park. It truly sucked. PLUS, staying at The Breakers didn't even give you the normal perk of entering an hour early. Talk about screwing the public.

When I saw the line of traffic on the causeway that day, my anxiety level jumped. But I was also excited about being there to document it. I really missed hangin out with you this year, dude. We'll try again next season.
@@CoasterBob62 I missed hanging out with you as well man. I went to KI yesterday and it wasn't the best day if I am being honest. Too cold and most of the rides shut down due to the temperature. I had a great time running into folks. I applaud the KI staff for opening the park this year. It was needed.

I think the fact that the park was that busy just shows how much people are in need of recreation and being able to get out again which is possible to do safely!

The only way you could get in line to ride those 4, was to first wait in line to get a pass. You got in line during the hour window that was on the passes. Once those were all gone, that was it, no more riders could ride.
What a nightmare! No thx. Lines for corkscrew and a carousel? And too many empty seats on the coaster cars. Did everyone in Ohio show up that day? What's the point in spacing out those arcade games when you have all those people standing near each other in lines and walking around?

No Fast Lane. Only guests allowed in that line, were Annual Pass holders that had already purchased that perk with their passes.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the park is closed Friday. It's only open Saturdays and Sundays for the rest of the season.
