    That frame weave is beautiful. I’ve only seen that standard on Time bikes.

      3T is making frames in Italy now and finishing them that way. It looks amazing doesn't it! thanks for watching!

    Holy Molly that Project X frame looks cool and rare. Probably one of 3T's most expensive frame. Is your Exploro Ultra now out of date?

    • @wattwagon
      @wattwagon  11 месяцев назад +1

      it's so wild! they make these in Italy so it's a bit more cost than the exploro racemac. The ultra is still my weapon of choice for gnarly bikepacking events and rides! This bike is going to be my "when I ride fast bike."

    Odd question: in the video where you cleaned up your bike from Badlands, it seemed like you didn’t ride it for a while once you got back? Do you train on the same bikes you race on? Was that one worn out from the race?

    • @wattwagon
      @wattwagon  11 месяцев назад +2

      I do usually train on the same bike I race on. Sometimes I will swap out cassette/chain/chainring to keep those nice and new for racing. I didn't ride my ultra after badlands because I needed a little break from riding, it got lost in transit, and I took forever to build it up. So instead I rode another 3T exploro that I have setup as my "road" bike.

    Not a fan of exposed cables but other than that looks good.

      I know I knowwwww who even likes exposed cables. Next time I have the bike serviced I will switch to the integrale stem from 3T. It hadn't been released yet when I had this bike built up.

    Beautiful bike… but no lube in the build, headset bearings, cranks, through axles, anywhere??

      oh it's in there, just not always shown on film- those clips aren't as intersting....

    I think the handlebar tape installation is lousy 😎 But, the carbon weave of the frame looks awesome 👍💯

      bb probably had to tend to his dog so I'll let it slide. The frame is epic tho!!!!!!!
