Great video as always. As an idea for future videos, I'd like your "spin" on stringing methods, ie proportional stringing, around the world, 1 vs 2 piece, different tension between mains and crosses, etc. Interested in the pros and cons if any and how you would ask a pro shop for a specific string job.
To my understanding "Graphene 360" means Graphene on all 4 sides of the racket hoop. The plus "+" is the addition of spiral fibers on the throat of racket to increase flexibility.
Hi man, good job! Would be very happy if you could do a video about "best racquets for people above 70 years old". My father is 72 years old and he play with the pure drive team (285gr) which I think is a little bit too damanding for him. Which racquet would you suggest instead? Thx a lot!
I just switched from the head micro gel radical mp. To the extreme tour. I love it it has a little bit more pop. And a little. It more spin. Feel is the same. Wonderful upgrade from and old school stick.
Great video review of the Extreme Racket line. Tried out the Extreme M.P racket because of this review. Loved it. Buying one this week. Thank you for your humorous and detailed reviews. Great channel. 😊
Thanks for the video. It would be nice if you also ask younger guys their opinion please, some advanced players such as coach Andrew or just younger intermediate players with a modern game to compare and have more opinions.
hi you are great and i love no single video of you. I am from Germany, you have a tip for me. I play the Blade 98s 18/16 string bed and string with 24KG lengthways and 23KG lengthways. unfortunately the strings are constantly slipping (Solinco HyperG) do you have a stringing tip? best regards and stay healthy. markus
I use HyperG 17 and 16L and mains always move back to position and I cut them out after 8 hrs just like all polys they do go dead. If slipping like it’s not grabbing the ball it might be technique or just use other types of string. If the strings r moving too much for u then try 16g maybe. If it’s a ball pocketing issue then lower the tension to 48 and let it pocket the ball more.
Hello , I am currently playing with the Babolat Pure Aero 2019 (300g), I love the power and the lift, I love the features but I would like a slightly more weight in the neck while keeping the same advantages (power and lift) ), since you are testing quite a few rackets. Other models would be of interest to me but I know them less well ... - HEAH EXTREME TOUR (305g) Wilson Clash Tour (310g), Babolat Pure Aero VS (305g). Which one seems to you the closest to my wishes (power / lift / handling). Thank you in advance
Great review as usual, thanks. What do you think of the Extreme "s" with the 105 head weighted up to similar to the 'MP" for an60+ above average intermediate double player? Wouldd you hybrid this one?
Im looking to upgrade from an old head liquidmetal radical orange racket. Any recommendations on a racket with similar specs but with modern technology?? Would greatly appreciate the advice
Spiral fibers? Is that a re-surgence of the piezzo-electric fibers? I hated those. When I weighed up my handle they bit my wrist. It may work in a less head light balnced racquet.
Feel like the Microgels are still the best Extremes. These last two versions are probably the best since the massive changes made to the line though. Even if they do feel hollow.
Head sells the exact replacement grip that they are using on this racket... It's called HEAD Hydrosorb Pro which comes in three colors: White, Black, and this yellow color that comes with the new Extreme lineup
There isnt one its called Tour now.. And its smaller, Im extreme pro user and would not consider going smaller.. When u play against power hitters those 2 inches lost .. are felt harshly
I am planing to move to a bit more power racquet, Currently use blx six one 95. Very abset with babolat, dont have a chane to try yonex and head. Prefer the cosmetic of head. Hmm want to hear your opinion please.
I am in exactly the same situation. I played with the 6.1 for ten years but now I want something easier. I was thinking on the extreme tour. What did you do?
@@victora.3565 This is what I had experienced, balance point is the key, when I move to power i feel the racket is very heavy only weight 300 gram (My 6.1 is 320g) because of the power one has balance point closer to the neck. Therefore you have 2 options. first move to 295g or even 285g racket this option you may feel vibration of the racket when play with heavy ball, Second is keeping the weight 310 or 315g but try a thicker frame 22m or 23m. I am choosing the second option but the racket is very hard to find in my country.
Which is the racket you said is comparable to the Pure Strike 16x19? If I like the Pure Strike, which other rackets would you recommend trying? Where is your shop located?
He mentioned Extreme Tour. Yonex Vcore 98 would be a little more headlight, WIlson Blade v7 has a little more control. If you want something a tad lighter try Speed MP.
Great Review, I have been an Extreme Pro user for 10 years. I have purchased all versions. But found that the 2009 Youtek was the best for me. Until.. the The 2018 Graphene 360 pro came out. Way bigger sweet spot, and much more power n spin n control. So could this new version improve upon the 2018. Any reference or testimonials ? You can share with me ? I play at 5.5 NTRP. Lefty spinner. Thanks
Do not change, man. I switched from aero pro gt 2013 and never found such an awesome racquet again. None of the following aero lines or extremes can match it.
@@niceguy5430 I put some lead and later I took some away. The racket ist armfriendly, but for me it has less control. I played it with head lynx tour. I will try an another string setup next year. So far....
Speed line changed this year and plays similar to Babolat Pure strike line. The Extreme MP is going to have a little more power and spin than the Speed. As Harry basically said everyone is copying each other, Pure Aero = Extreme, Pure Strike = Speed line.
@@esrf123 I've just bought the last Speed MP 360+ and love it. It's just an all around versatile racquet, not too powered, great feel, not stiff at all such as my previous Pure Drive, I definitely love it. I was hesitating with the Gravity MP which I also loved demoing but the Speed MP gives me a bit more free power and particularly more stability. Also I prefer the Speed MP balance over the Gravity MP's.
I am not sure, but it is likely more of a square shape. I believe you are referring to the traditional rectangular shape of the Prestige/Radical racquet grips when you say "Typical HEAD", but even the other HEAD racquet lines such as Speed and Gravity use the more square shape handles. It is likely that the new Extremes use the more square pallet, in fact it is likely that the Radical line no longer uses the classic rectangular pallet.
Thanks Ryan. I haven't played with a head racket for years as I couldn't get used to the rectangular shaped grip - particularly on my forehand (semi-western). I had heard that later lines have a more square grip so it sounds promising that this new line also use the squarer pallets.
I hear ya...azns get no R E S P E C T. I grew up playing PG 90. My Pure Drive Roddick GT is too powerful when I screw around hitting with friends and I miss the feel of teh OG sticks. GT doesn't like slow swings! Would I lke this Extreme if I wanted less power and more feel/control?
Where is Extreme Pro? It's the best high level racquet, 100sqin and 315gr unstrung. I play with Speed Pro with 15gr of extra lead. Those paper-weight rackets are really not for me.
Michael P A lot of them dont use the racket they endorse it’s just for marketing but many people don’t know that. Btw i watched a tennis spin video from 2 months ago he actually said they are going to come out with an updated version of the instinct soon which would be interesting
I tried graphene 360 to 360+ to me they are Trash racket, they screw up the sound while hitting balls. It's very Annoying and stupid to integrate that. Not a fan of that shit technology. I only like their Youtek and Radical Ti MP back then.
As always I'm gonna be the bad guy here. Perhaps you should have both a younger player and an older player. It's likely they'll have very different opinions about the way the racquet feels/plays. The old guys in videos have old school strokes. They're opinion of "newer" racquet tech is biased. Btw, the way you present/speak sounds like you are talking to little children.
I love the way he is speaking but you are right with the first point. He should have tried theses racquets with some younger guys also and may be more advanced players such as coach Andrew. This would be another good opinion.
