Try using screwing wood blocks on each side of the pot to prevent pots falling off.

Use a hair dryer to soften the tubing, then when it's soft it will fit the barb

Is the water on a timer that just comes on a couple times a day or does he just leave the water on and let the float valve do the work?

@@jeffccr3620 can put it on a timer if you wanted to. He's retired so he's home to just leave the water running for like 2 hrs or periodically checking on it. I forget how long he'd leave on the water. I can ask him tomm
