Wilder's Wonka is one of the finest performances in the last 40 or so years and I thank him warmly for making my childhood so memorable just through the annual xmas viewings of this film. Top notch and not achievable today.
I have had a world of trouble follow me, abuse, depression, bad luck, court cases, health problems, family problems, loneliness, money problems, love problems, and the list goes on. it's life, life never stops. but...i remember seeing this movie when I was very young, and falling in love with it. I'm 26 now, and it was on amc last night, and this scene, brought me to tears. Because, pure imagination is the only place I want to be. Everything about this movie is beyond beautiful.
“Mr. Wonka: "Don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he wanted." Charlie Bucket: "What happened?" Mr. Wonka: "He lived happily ever after.”
This is great music from a great movie. I shall never forget and I was an adult when I saw it. I loved it then and now and thanks for uploading this for us all.
+Never Ending I want to be an Oompa Loompa Sings - OOMPA LOOMPA DOOMPADEE DOO I'VE GOT A PERFECT PUZZLE FOR YOU OOMPA LOOMPA, DOOMPADAH DEE IF YOU ARE WISE YOU'LL LISTEN ME WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU GUZZLE DOWN SWEETS EATING AS MUCH AS AN ELEPHANT EATS WHAT ARE YOU AT GETTING TERRIBLY FAT WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL COME OF THAT I DON'T LIKE THE LOOK OF IT OOMPA LOOMPA DOOMPADEE DAH IF YOU'RE NOT GREEDY YOU WILL GO FAR YOU WILL LIVE IN HAPPINESS TOO LIKE THE OOMPA LOOMPA DOOMPADEE DO DOOMPADEE DOO.
This end music makes me a little sad, thinking of all the good times I had at elementary school, middle school, and high school. And Gene Wilder, Jack Albertson, Denise Nickerson and other actors deserve to rest in peace.
Tim Burton, Johnny depp = Mr Wonka Gene Wilder = Willy Wonka And This Movie Are #WillyWonkaAndTheChocolateFactory not missing like #CharlieAndTheChocolateFactory Lol
I always get so emotinal when I watch the ending, especially when Willy says the "Happily ever after" lines and then hugs Charlie. You can literally feel the happiness radiating from both of them! :)
Willy Wonka always reminded me of the mad hatter...but that's probably because they're both Johnny Depp...I agree with poker though...nothing beats the original...
"don't forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted" "what happened?" "he lived happily ever after" i love them last lines to the film. it goes to show that no one shall never give up dreaming
"don't forget about what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he ever wanted. He lived happily ever after." this part always makes me smile and sometimes cry
IF YOU WANT TO VIEW PARADISE SIMPLY LOOK AROUND AND VIEW IT ANYTHING YOU WANT TO, DO IT WANT TO MAKE THE WORLD THERE'S NOTHING TO IT THERE IS NO LIFE I KNOW TO COMPARE WITH PURE IMAGINATION LIVING THERE YOU'LL BE FREE IF YOU TRULY WISH TO BE 2:31-3:28
That's one Oompa Loompa song that was definitely meant for Charlie after Willy Wonka (both Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp) gave him the Chocolate factory and giving him this one inspiring message... "Charlie, Don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he wanted." "What happened?" "He lived happily ever after..." And he was right, Gene Wilder said that and he meant that to the very end. Rest in Peace Gene Wilder...
Eric you're such a liar you let my son go my son is Armando Christian Perez okay and you let my father go his name is Carlos Perez if you don't you have major problems in California you take care of yourself and remember the red truck and crashed if I buy this is my home
This movie is now 50 years old, amazing.
It made the world (despite its ugliness) taste sweet.

RIP. Even at 40 I still get teary eyed when he tells Charlie he's giving him the factory.
Amen.

1971 wasn't exactly the brightest year in the history of the world, and this movie brought (and will always bring) joy through the darkness...
rest in peace mr wilder. hope you're living in paradise. 😊
The man who got everything he ever really wanted truly lived happily ever after. Rip Gene Wilder 😭
It's RIP. Not "Rip".
“Mr. Wonka: "Don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he wanted."
Charlie Bucket: "What happened?"
Mr. Wonka: "He lived happily ever after.”

I like how in the original Charlie is given the factory with his family to come along. Unlike the newer version.
Great song at end and move

I honestly like Violets song from the 2005 one.
They’re both good. Both Wilder and Depp are wonderful actors, each in their own way.

We will all miss you Gene wilder

Im shocked he died today RIP Mr Wilder my childhood goes with you
me too, i wish i was alive in 1971 so i could hug gene wilder in the wonkavator.
Lovely ending! usually ruined on TV by some annoying intrusive continuity announcement! great to hear it properly here!
But Charlie, don't forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he ever wanted.
What happened?
He lived happily ever after.
Happy ending
I get shivers when those words drop at 2.32.
Marvelous
This end music makes me a little sad, thinking of all the good times I had at elementary school, middle school, and high school. And Gene Wilder, Jack Albertson, Denise Nickerson and other actors deserve to rest in peace.
This used to be shown on TV every Christmas in Ireland
Don't forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted... What happened? ...He lived happily ever after. :)
1:50 Saddest violin solo ever.
+Rj H i think it is beautiful not saddening
Its beautiful but its sad to know Gene Wilder passed away.
more bittersweet
The one in wizard of Oz ending is sad
"You did it, Mr. Wonka! Congratulations!"
"Get up and take a look."
Johnny Depp is an ACTOR playing Willy Wonka. Gene Wilder IS Willy Wonka
You can't beat Nostalgia... people should learn not to even bother trying
Nothing can beat nostalgia. Gene Wilder is the real willy wonka☺ But.... He died in August 29,2016😭
Damn right he is. 😭
Tim Burton, Johnny depp = Mr Wonka

RIP Gene Wilder!
"Don't forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted...
...he lived happily ever after"
Oh gosh, this scene always made me cry, just because it was such a sweet ending. And I was a bit jealous of Charlie getting that huge hug. :')
the orchestra is just stunning in this
Never thought of that....I think they are. :)
From this scene, I always got the impression that Wonka was dying. Even as a 10/9 year old kid. How depressing :/
I always get so emotinal when I watch the ending, especially when Willy says the "Happily ever after" lines and then hugs Charlie. You can literally feel the happiness radiating from both of them! :)
This version is SOOO much better that that other shit, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
R.I.P Gene Wilder
The Original will always be the better version !
Gene Wilder was a WAY better Willy Wonka than Johnny Depp. This film ROCKED!
I love this movie. The ending part really gets to me. I get emotional at times

The best music either
When I die i want this to play

emotional shit right here :(
Idk why I’m here in 2020 but mannn😪
I honestly don't think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was supposed to be an extremely accurate copy of Willy Wonka.
:') i love this one where can i download this for free -weeping with joy-
@fabolou5fiasco well that figures, Tim Burton is such a gloomy bastard. This version is so much more sweeter and better.
now 12 people
the johnny depp version is bad at the start hes like he hates everybody

Are those the Oompa Loompa's singing it at the end? I always wondered.
1 person slipped and hit the thumbs down button
The new one was weird. Stick to the old films, they are the best.
