If possible, can you show how it zips together with the Nemo Jam (women's version) to create a 2 person bag? I can't wrap my head around it because the zipper doesn't appear to fully unzip the bag, unlike a fully rectangular bag. Thanks!
We probably won't get a chance to reshoot this video until NEMO updates their line, but I can explain how it works. The zippers on both the Jam and Riff disconnect when they reach the end of their run, which is almost, but not quite to the end of the footbox. They are sewn on opposite each other (if you're lying on your back, the Riff's zipper is on left side, while the Jam's is on the right and the slider/pull tabs are opposed as well, so near the feet (but not at the very end as you noticed) you insert the Jam's teeth into the Riff's slider and vice versa. Then pull the two zipper runs closed and commence snuggling. You and your partner's feet still have a little separate space in the footbox if you want, or more likely, one of you will end up with feet in the other's footbox :) It's a very clever design, and we'll be sure to remember to show it the next time we shoot these sleeping bags.
I'd like to know how the zipper works. I've bought expensive bags to only have the zipper grab nylon and snag eventually breaking at my frustrations of trying to get it freed. Unlike Army sleeping bags that constructed with a zipper that will not snag or grab material. Will this sleeping bag not snag it's zipper in use?
Thanks for asking. Lighter weight fabrics are more prone to snag in a zipper than heavier, thicker fabrics like you described in your Army bag. This sleeping bag has super light weight face fabric, so it is prone to snagging. NEMO designed the bag with a durable strip of fabric directly next to each side of the zipper to prevent snags, but if you are not careful, the lighter weight fabric can still snag. This can be easily remedied by carefully and slowly sliding the zipper when entering and exiting the sleeping bag. I find that placing a finger in front of the zipper slider prevents the fabric from snagging. All told, this sleeping bag is going to perform similarly to all lightweight bags in regards to the zipper. -Becky
Well, When my zipper snagged and pinched the nylon causing the snag, It was extremely cold, I mean "COLD!" and in the middle of the night when natured called. I wasn't a careful wanting to get back into the sleeping bag. U.S. Army (old versions) sleeping bags are designed to exit the bag quickly without snagging in case of attack. They sewed in a piece of hard fabric that keeps the silk or other fabric separated. Something the company might look into. Thanks@@Enwild
Regular 20" - That's a NEMO Astro Insulated Lite pad, the updated version can be seen here: www.enwild.com/nemo-astro-insulated-2019.html?.com&CasEMGpM
The key differences are in the materials- the Riff is made with a 20 denier nylon and 800 fillpower down, whereas the Disco is made with a 30 denier face fabric and 650 fillpower down. Other specs are quite similar, but the Riff would be considered the 'premium' option!
Riff weighs less and packs down slightly smaller than the Disco due to the more premium 800FP down vs the 650FP down in the Disco. Both temperature ratings are the same though, so if 5 oz of weight and a liter or so of compressed space isn't a deal breaker the Disco is the way to go and you save $100.
Nemo does make the Cannon -40 degree bag. Not sure exactly what "fat" measures, but unfortunately Nemo does not manufacture a Wide version of most sleeping bags. That said, the Long version of bags are usually around 6-8 inches wider, though I know you said below 6ft. Thanks for watching!
Just bought this at a nice deal for our YSNP and GNP trips!

Is there a zipper at the bottom to open when the feet get hot ?
Alicja Blanquart Thanks for checking in today! At the moment the Nemo Riff 15 does not have have foot zippers for heat release. Thanks again.
What's the difference between the Riff and Disco? New name=more money?
The key differences are in the materials- the Riff is made with a 20 denier nylon and 800 fillpower down, whereas the Disco is made with a 30 denier face fabric and 650 fillpower down. Other specs are quite similar, but the Riff would be considered the 'premium' option!

Its it rated to -15 if so Fahrenheit or Celsius
Fahrenheit.
It's not rated for negative 15. It's positive 15F. It's a 3 season bag not a 4 season.
Do they make a bag that's rated below zero? And, do they make a bag that will accommodate a fat person below six feet in height?
