I randomly bumped into Bill at the Mall of America in the middle of the day. The place was almost empty, so I went up to him and said, "you can't make that call ref, that's terrible." Great guy.
Rest in peace to a legend. First thing that came into mind was watching him live on television when he was announced to the top 75 list in the 2022 all star game in Cleveland. Sad to hear him pass.
Love Walton. It's a huge compliment to Dan that he actually speaks to him normally. It's one of the only times you get to hear the real Bill and not the character he plays when broadcasting games (which I love as well).
If you're like me when it comes to this man, you could listen to him all day and far into the night. What a beautiful human! Hindsight is 20-20, of course, but watching this NOW, I can see his energy was lagging a little. Still, of course, the energy and fun he threw into any interview (or game) was obvious. He will be missed so much.
walton is fun to listen to . even after smoking more weed than most of will in our lifetime. his vocabulary is incredible. .if he didnt have all the foot problems he could have been an all time great. truly the most interesting analyst in sports
This has the be the worst nba season I can remember...no passion(except for few players like Morant)...too vanilla, no rivalries, seems like nba teams don't care about the season, Clippers cough cough...Clippers have a total disrespect for the fans...entitled players like Kawhi and PG are ruining the game....I used to root for the Clippers but they've completely put me off.
Bill is a great guy, but he is a bit scatterbrained. The three has definitely become too big a part of the game, and well it’s lazy. Make it a little harder to shoot threes and bring back some balance to the inside and midrange. As it is it’s so easy to shoot threes it makes other aspects of the game just not worth it. Not allowing screeners on the perimeter to grab defenders would be a nice start.
I don't talk about sports....in fact I get bored talking about sports with other people...I only talk about sports in this platform...but I guess you know me more than I know myself.
RIP Bill. You will be missed. Your energy and enthusiasm always put a smile on my face.
How can you not love Bill Walton! A National treasure!
easy!!
@@WRic86 When you pass, how many people will give a shit?
Dan is a true pro to let Bill speak uninterrupted....great interview
is it possible to interrupt Bill ???
Haha Danny could leave the Man Cave for the entire 3 hours and Walton wouldn’t even notice it.
Nobody in professional sports who I love and respect more than Bill Walton.
Never a dull moment with Walton. An unexpected turn with that story about his dad.
Such a personality! He just misses his dad. 😔
A five-question interview with Bill could quickly turn into an hour or more. Love it.
Story about his father was unreal. Very touching
Thankfully he passed surrounded by loved ones. Party on, Love on, Shine on!
Need more Bill, his enthusiasm and history to be shared second to none.

Love this guy. What wonderful stories.
Damn...what a great interview.
My favorite NBA color commentator announcer and a great ambassador for all of basketball!
What a touching story about his dad. Man, I got tears welling up in my eyes.
One of the greatest “what if” careers in NBA history. While it was extremely brief, he had an all-time peak.
I love Bill! Been watching him since high school. I'm two years ahead...we went to neighboring schools. What a guy!

All I want to hear is stories!! Wilt & Russell stories are my favorite. But literally any story. No interviews, no current events, just stories
Camnot believe he is gone .
Even though we are in Texas now, San Diego will miss you🎉
His interview is unparalleled and needs to come back weekly on the DP Show!
Truly iconic! Nobody around like him. RIP big guy!
Thanks DP for not interrupting.
RIP to a legend
Thanks for this interview, very sweet!
What a great man… will be incredibly missed.
RIP Bill Walton, a great joy in his soul.
Dp asked one question and Bill handled the rest haha good stuff!
This man is going to be missed. God bless him.
Loved this interview!

I wish Dan Patrick would interview more NBA Legends. Like Walt Frazier!!! Please get him on before he dies or gets too old to talk.
Bill’s just an amazing, unique human.

RIP. Cool to meet you at Ratdog in NOLA.
If I am every elected to Congress I am going to ask Bill Walton to filibuster for me
Hubie and Bernard King. The good old days.
He certainly was something! Shine on Bill, Shine on!!
I love Bill's trippy backgrounds. lol.
Wow, tear jerker

That background hahaha
Question count? I think it was 5, amazing job DP.
Bill Walton has the same voice as Dick Van Dyke. RUclips it
Bill is the goat!
Love Bill Walton
A legend!!
Throw it down big man lol
The Man
Bill and Jerry jammin in heaven now. 🙏
And Sam Gilbert as the money man.
Love Walton, but UCLA also had Sam Gilbert.
Bill is always pure comedy 🤣 😂
Agreed and His Stories Are Amazing Such a Amazingly Storyteller For a Former NBA Player!

Not a lot of nba segments this year...last year was a LeBron love fest every day.
You knew there was going to be a Bird story with these two but that was one I hadn't heard. @irishgrl
Eliminate the corner 3 and move the line back.
All these many years later Walton continues to be the most difficult sports analyst to listen to...literally and figuratively 🤦♂️

It's part of his schtick.
I find him rather annoying doing color commentary... I'd rather watch the game on mute to be honest.
yes!!!

Can't stand Bill Walton,
Why Can’t U Stand Bill Walton For?
