He can unlock a mahamantra with a single pose. He is man. He is rebel. He is master.
In the 1960s, in Koolimuttam, Kerala, a man called Abdul Manaf set his heart on Bharatanatyam. He wanted to study the devadasi style of the classical dance, a tantric tradition, which the British had banned in a move to stamp out a huge pillar of Indian culture. But Bharatanatyam had fought its way back. Abdul Munaf was not allowed to learn the dance form due to his name. But like his chosen dance, Abdul too was a rebel. Abdul changed his name to Manu, the name his mother called him by, and proceeded to study the art form, rising to become one of its most towering figures. The artist in Manu Master, accepted no limits. To him an artist's love for his art is no less than the love of the Creator for all his creations. When Manu Master dances, the air moves differently. When he moves, we are hypnotised. A legend who can change the energy of a room even from a screen, can bring unexpected tears with a simple Mudra, while not even present with the viewer...this is the magic of Manu Master.

First of all i feel goosebumps. How at one moment I feel hindu Muslims r killing r spreading hatred against each other I get disturbed and thought what would be our future. Now I watched manu master and I feel still we hv hope. Such souls are blessings. I m in delhi I m 34 yrs old married women. I always wanted to learn bharatnatyam but my financial situation and family refusal fr dance didn't allow me do that.

If not then when..... If not now then when you turn old you would do... If when olddue to any reason if you would not then when there is a time to die comes then you will pose but you would not be able to dance physically but your mind could feel yourself dancing like it feel now.... So mindfully you are doing and you do it whenever either you are blissful or broken and remember your good past but what the point... Why do you want to learn it..... Coz when you , I or anybody dies nobody has ever knew whts gonna happen or if they know then we still dont have any proofs of wht are they doing or going through only we can feel and perceive differently but are we perfectly sure what happens after death of the body.... So if you die and you would dance after that then for what you will dance.... For what..... If the reason is now clear that you will just dance for the joy of it..... For the toughness any thing requires to do that thing perfectly then you can feel that while you are cooking food, while you are preparing the food for guests, your family.... But if you are only doing for the joy of it then tell me in what things you really really find joy... Then bharatnatyam is not the effect you want you want joy and iff you want bharatnatyam not because of the joy you get but the amount of joy you get when you do bharatnatyam you dont get in anything in this world also if your reason is still very different that not jst the highest amt of but then for some different reason maybe that when you are in the joy you do bharatnatyam then that means bharatnatyam is bigger then the joy it is just your expression that if you express you would express yourself then your highest expression bharatnatyam ..... My be when you scold you do it in a small portion of bharatnatyam containing the whole bharatnatyam..w
Or if bharatnatyam has only one expression that isjoy and you keep it so sacred that only when you are joyful you do it and youdo not even think of it when you are thinking or feeling bad....so when it becomes sacred... Sacredness is the feeling.... The feelingof being united beingin unity and when in unity this is the highest creation creation gets from you.. The creation chose bharatnatyam fo your mind and body and not anything more when you are onewith the creation .. The sacredness of it... Ooooffffff.. Oh my go ifi can embody that art from creations act... Oooooomfffffff............. Thats it. . You are already in it... Just knonething when we choose something that is an okay feeling but when creation chooses us and from us through us it expresses thats it.!!! After your death .....?? !!!!! Tc..

Hey Bharat,
This film gave me such a peaceful, spiritual feeling right through...not a moment of anxiety or unhappiness experienced. As you know...thanks to the current media depiction of what is supposed to be news and reality...I have for long given up on watching TV. I was thoroughly engaged and relieved to see your film on Manu master (an unknown personality to me, until I saw the film).
By the end of the film, I felt a lot of positivity that I enjoy...something truly spiritual and a feeling of oneness with nature was captured in this film.
Abdul Manaf, aka 'Manu master' seems to be a person in sync with nature, relaxed, at peace with himself and fits my definition of 'an Indian', as I have in mind....happy to see people like him still exist.

Bharat has always been tremendously creative ever since I have known him, since childhood. The journey from an 'Agfa click 3' to complex overhead shots in his Virtual Bharat clips has been phenomenal! It is not just the photography but the chosen subjects, the fantastic music, the editing and finally the panaromic view of the exercise and purpose of Virtual Bharat that is captivating. Bharat's abundant enthusiasm is infectious, and his spontaneity & out of the box thinking sets him apart. We have all thoroughly enjoyed all the previous episodes of VB and many many more are in the offing. I sincerely wish this Virtual Bharat venture of his is amply recognized by the government and appropriate steps are taken to distribute this 'wealth' to every nook and corner of not only our great nation but also the world. I am from Telangana, I never learned
Malayalam, I know telugu, kannada and little bit sanskrit, I am understanding 95% of what he is saying , I think I should start learning Malayalam, I like one sentence mostly he said , that is , yedhi naadhi kaadhu, antha manadhe ( nothing belongs to our own , everything belongs to us )
