FL Studio has a very old, free plugin that can do this, too. It's called BeepMap and it's still included.
With free I mean it's included in the base version. Been in there since Fruity Loops 2.

This is dope but the problem is, there is high frequency ringing because of the tag.. You can literally hear it in the video, especially when the playhead is done going over the tag and goes over the rest of the beat (4:22). So whats stopping me from rolling it off via a low pass filter? Regardless, this is a dope find... i think this is a good step forward towards more protection for producers/loop makers/sample makers etc
A low pass filter will effect the quality of the beat

The best secret water mark is to add a unique or specific sound to your tagged beats n remove it for beat purchases.
Like put vinyl crackle in the MP3 beat but remove it for the wav. The artist never gonna know but you will know someone stole your beat if you can hear vinyl crackle. This what I do lol. Niggas think they smart stealing my beats but I can tell

Another simple way is finding a signature sound that you love so it’s easy to identify with play with it reverb it make it how you like and keep using it before you know it it’s your sound

I think this is more for entertainment than it is for security. Izotope is a plug-in that can remove complete vocals from a song so watermarks I don’t think can protect much. Seems to me like a label outside a bank saying “don’t rob this shit guys, it’s ours”

The watermark is a little bit audible but it can be really useful for a beat you just post on ytb or a demo you send to an artist

It's cool but its easy to remove all I do is copy the text and do what he did but swap the black and white around then I'd have the words separated. Then just paste that over the tag and it's gone.
This is a game changer, it's the producer equivalent of invisible ink on bank notes - GENIUS
If you really believe in your music, Copyright it.
That's a sure way to protect yourself.

It’s so that if you do find that someone used your beat/loop without crediting you, you can better easily prove that they stole it and can take further legal action

@@xxxod I know, I'm just saying that I know how to remove this tag. I dont need to rip off other people I have over 20 years worth of making music. I just made a drum kit from a random audio recording of Me shopping in Tesco lol in 2018.
Unless your hearing is damaged, or your monitoring isn't up to par, the audio is still clearly audible. So I'd rather have clean audio than a visual tag tbh.

1. I was able to hear the tag as high-pitched noise. Not a fan of that.
2. I'm fairly certain I could remove it in RX if I really wanted.

It is easily removed if you use eq2 In FL and eq it out and consolidate it, its gone. You can see it in edison. If you only eq out the high part. But if you eq it till it ranges from low to mid or a little higher and consolidate it again and watch it in edison the tag is not visible anymore.

There was a project by Pilchard back on FL6 (I think, around 2007) that showed you that writing stuff and read them on the spectral viewer was easily possible

This is old as Harmor itself but great to see information passed further.
Fruity Loops 2 added a plugin called BeepMap which can do the same. It's still included with FL Studio.

You're not the only one. Anyone with even decent headphones can. What I would suggest doing is to pitch the tag up until you cannot hear it, but that'll squish it so it visibly becomes chonkier

Quick question ? This is old school method but after we finished a beat mastered it can we send ourselves an email with the Mp3 and stems as a packaged email as a copyrighted timestamp? Will it hold up in court?

This is bad advice 😕 this idea is actually pretty old and is purely a gimmick in 99.9% of cases. Every steaming service and even music printed on cd's are at 44.1khz sample rate for playback. Since the watermarks are hypersonic, they'll be removed. If u make your watermark in an audible frequency range to prevent the nyquist limit from killing it, then your stuck with a nasty, non-musical, unintelligible noise. And still a simple LPF move will defeat any happy medium one could settle on.
Sending your music to the cloud over email drop box link to your self is good enough copyright protection. Even youtube upload is sufficient because you would bevtge first person who posted the song, this cant be refuted.

There's actually a secret world of demonic art inside edsion when you have drop a mp3 video of multiple different samples (I used a video compilation of popular memes) I was shocked when I was editing/sampling that shit, you can see some really detailed dope but scary demonic type of shit.

@@xxxod If you wanna get producer royalties from the songs people make with your beats you gotta know this stuff unfortunately. Dj pain 1 has a lot of good info. Just look up how to copyright your music and collect royalties and you'll find the info. If someone steals your beat you'll be notified and you can shut it down. It's a headache but it's important to protect yourself.

So many ways of defeating this. Even just recreating which is surely the easiest way of “stealing” a beat. And not trying to be offensive or snarky here but the beats on this video aren’t exactly complex to break down even for a beginner. By the way, ever sampled a breakbeat? Why is that acceptable but what you call stealing isn’t? Honest question
