    kind of difficult to hear the right side of the room. Consider putting up the names of the buildings on the video! Otherwise, this was an interesting video!

    The Audio was a let down. Its better to name the list in the description , so people are better informed.

  • @solderbuff
    @solderbuff 2 года назад +5

    The audio is bad, but the tidbits are useful (like avoid buildings which are too tall and allow short-term rentals).

      Thank you for the feedback. What do you mean by that the audio is bad? Everyone has different levels? Laughing is too loud? Background music overpowers the speech?
      We are still messing around with the setup, I think if we all had desktop mics it will sound much better instead of using lav mics.

      @@KennethYimHomes , I watched using good headphones. Your audio is good. But I couldn't hear at times what others are saying. And even captions were not generated at those places, which are hard to hear.

    Very helpful and interesting. Lets get a petition to demo Ice condos lol. Replace it with some mid rise co-op condos with a nice park, and community garden.

    Best condo is DNA3, two towers with around 14 floors but each tower has 3-4 big elevators so never have to wait. Including the units have no dead space in the design and they have laundry rooms! I lived there in a 600sqft 1+1 but I had a little laundry room too, I have not seen that anywhere since. And real doors no plastic sliding dividers.

    • @KennethYimHomes
      @KennethYimHomes  3 года назад +2

      There are plenty of other layouts in other buildings that have a room for the laundry (not just in a closet) for condos around 600 sq ft, but yes it's really nice to be able to hide your vacuum and have extra storage. As for the sliding plastic or glass doors, that's so easy to replace by getting a good contractor in there to build you a wall and door frame. I must say though, DNA3 is well managed from a budget perspective, I find the maintenance fees quite reasonable there. Thanks for the comment!

    Dude that said Cityplace is the best lost credibility with me. I would have edited his part out (kidding). 90 sumach very good choice. 33 Mill is decent gets quite rowdy in the summer from what I've seen. I've seen the pool deck look like a Spring Break party. Agree on all the bad ones...especially 150 Sudbury. Terrible building by a terrible builder. Good riddance Urbancorp. Ice certainly agree with as well. So many things wrong with it. Not a fan of Lanterra as a builder either.
    Good video.

      Haha thanks! Neil loves CityPlace, because that's where he currently lives and it's his first place away from his parents. I think it has nice appeal in the beginning, but eventually you get sick of it. Great for young people, especially with all the conveniences around and amazing amenities in each building. There's a huge benefit to living in master-planned communities like this one.

    Cityplace is one of the worst.. how can someone say it's one of the best?

    • @KennethYimHomes
      @KennethYimHomes  3 года назад

      Yeah it’s not for everyone.
      However, the convenience of a master-planned community is pretty nice. Location is pretty central. Amenities are nice. And some penthouse units are pretty balling.
      Of course, the downside is that some of those neighbours can be rowdy idiots. The general build quality kind of sucks, and a lot of suites are only 8 ft ceilings.

    ban skyscrapers. ,you don't get the returns usually get a boutique

    • @KennethYimHomes
      @KennethYimHomes  3 года назад +2

      The problem with boutique is that there's not enough units to spread the cost of the maintenance fees and services around. For example, all of the occupants want 24/7 concierge, but in a 100 unit building, the cost just doesn't make sense.
      I'd say approx 300-400 units is a good number of units, as an investment condo. More or less.
