The absolute kings of the charts, from 1970 to 1980- the mighty BEEGEES - indeed the last of 40 weeks in the 70`s decade (more than 3 years 😎)on #1 US Billboard Top 100 😳 with 10 monster bangers - like Stayin Alive (32 million singles sold), Night Fever (10 million, singles sold, How Deep is Your Love ( 15 million sold) You Should Be Dancing or Emotion feat. Samantha Sang (Destiny Child covers this song in the 2000) etc. - hell yeah - tunes for eternity and way beyond his time 🕺🕺🕺🪩🪩🪩🔥🔥 long live the legendary Barry Gibb, Prince Charming with the Lion "shampoo advertising haircut" with female long legs with 27" criminal tight jeans and a epic legendary falsetto vocal from another planet 😂🪩 💪 million chicks falls in unconsciousness 🔥

Bee Gees are incomparable and legends. Featured in the Book of Guiness as the most successful songwriters of all times. Sir Barry Gibb along with brods Maurice and Robin cannot be surpassed in terms of harmonies. Best band ever existed.

The one and only Bee Gees with their out of this world harmonies. Stayin’ Alive was #1 for 4 consecutive weeks on Billboard Top 100’s in 1978. Older brother Barry had one of the best falsettos of that era. Twin brothers Robin and Maurice sang harmony in this song, though all three had fantastic voices. Please react to TOO MUCH HEAVEN it’s an outstanding, beautiful song. Great reaction, thanks.

Barry is listed as the best falsetto ever!
Who has the best falsetto? Top 10 Male Falsetto
      #8: Thom Yorke. ...
      #7: Jónsi Birgisson. ...
      #6: Michael Jackson. ...

      #4: Smoky Robinson. ...
      #3: Jeff Buckley. ...
      #2: Prince. ...
#1: Barry Gibb. In this history of pop music, there are certain falsetto that fit a particular genre, but none more so than that of Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees.

Robin (no beard) hit the high note while Barry was singing. Maurice (short, beard) is Robin's fraternal twin, both born in 1949. Barry, (tallest) big brother, born in 1946. Married his wife, Linda in 1970...still married. They started singing on street corners when the twins were 6 and Barry was 9, recorded as a trio from 1958 to 2003, with Maurice's death. Robin died in 2012.

The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988.
The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born.
Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1966. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin' (and was also actually the first album on which their logo was introduced).
From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too ruclips.net/video/7niXSh7vWRI/видео.html Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: ruclips.net/video/WH_j90fCIk4/видео.html, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out ruclips.net/video/vfHUS5Mf00Q/видео.html. From their Still Waters album, Smoke and MIrrors: ruclips.net/video/MT9vRHSWNbk/видео.html. From the 1960's I've gotta get a message to you ruclips.net/video/CA4CInDnTk8/видео.html. Barry said this video was filmed on the old set of the TV show “Combat!” For those who don’t know, that is an old American TV show. I used to watch it. I think it was on in the mid to late 60s. I only remember seeing it in black and white. I had not bought any albums for ages (to busy building a career) but even I got the “fever” and went out and bought this album. You just could not help but want to get up and move. You did not have to dance to feel this music. It was like a flu that sweep the world. And we all still have the long lasting affects. And we don’t want to “get well.” Great music is timeless. No matter what the Bee Gees critics might say, the public loved it and still loves it……. And all their other hits from before and long after “Saturday Night Fever”. I was never a swooning fan, but good music is good music. And these guys made allot of it over the decades.

As the 70s disco era was coming to an end, the brothers launched out and wrote songs for other artists: Diana Ross; Kenny Rodgers; Dolly Parton; Dionne Warwick; Barbara Streisand; Jimmy Ruffin; (brother of David Ruffin: Temptations); Celine Dion; Al Green; Tavares, to name a few. However, they were writing songs for other artists before the 70s ended.

Fun Fact. This songs beat is set at 100 beats a minute. Matched to Barry's heartbeat (the one in the middle) and CPR requires 100 chest compressions per minute so if you play the song in your head while doing CPR you can save a life.

They are mighty! And you're right, "Stayin Alive" was a huge hit...Listen to "Alone", and, if you want to hear more falsetto, listen to "Too Much Heaven", one of my faves. They wrote "To Love Somebody" for Otis Redding who was a big soul singer in the '60's. He was in a plane wreck and passed away when he was going home from a show, before he could record it, so the Bee Gees wrote and recorded it in 1967, when Barry was about 19-20, and Maurice and Robin (who are twins) were about 16 years old. They started performing when they were little kids. But the best trivia about the Bee Gees is that none of them knew how to read or write music. None of them ever had any formal lessons on instruments or music in school. And Barry is tone deaf, to boot.

I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978. This would have been in my wedding too, but with them singing, at the reception. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 68 yrs. old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Lived a lifestyle involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry (middle) stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2022, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who was 78, January 12, 2023. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs:
    Staying Alive ruclips.net/video/fNFzfwLM72c/видео.html
How Deep is Your Love ruclips.net/video/XpqqjU7u5Yc/видео.html
    Jive Talking ruclips.net/video/oALKAh_bL5g/видео.html

    Spirits (Having Flown) ruclips.net/video/ONmVEJnxysc/видео.html
    Bodyguard ruclips.net/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/видео.html
Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) ruclips.net/video/b_wTZjo9azk/видео.html
(Destiny Child's cover has too much drama. But Barry liked it.)
Our Love (Don't Throw It All Away) Andy Gibb (12 years younger than Barry. ruclips.net/video/eH686Dyy16w/видео.html
At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2!
