If a college superscores, these are superscores. If a college does not, these are single sitting scores. These are what colleges report on the CDS -- each college has its own policy for score recording and acceptance.
Brooke, always appreciate your videos, thanks. My daughter, a Junior, got a 1540 SAT this summer. She is aiming for Ivy or T-30 with merit and has strong leadership and ECs. Would a higher SAT help or is she better off focusing on other areas of her profile?
@@brianrathgeber7775 depends on the goal school and the split - ie if she wants MIT and this is 790 or 800 reading I would retake. Harvard Stanford Princeton Yale a 1550 is usually the bar we aim for … MIT and caltech I want 770+ in math otherwise she’s probably ok with that score
@SupertutorTV thank you so much for responding. She has 780 Math / 760 English . Yale is her #1 at the moment. 1540 is just under the bar. She would be fine retaking if it would add value.
@@brianrathgeber7775The answer to this is to not retake it. She can use that score to go anywhere. There might be some very very tiny minimal chances at a school like MIT or Caltech for getting an 800 in Math, but even then I’d say the time is not worth it. Especially since her first choice is Yale.
My school average is 995-1015, what score would you recommend for me to submit at Rice? Should I submit a 1270? or what is the minimum score do you think I should get and submit?
CORRECTION: UT Austin will also be test required starting this year!
I have been waiting so much for this video.
This is a great video!
thank you for watching!!
thank you so much!
are you quoting superscores or scores from single sittings?

For Cornell is 700+ in each section ok for Engineering too? Should I submit my 1410 then?

Are these from the class that entered this fall ( Class of 2028?) or last year’s scores? Thanks
most recent data available as of last week-- most is this fall-- some may be previous year depending on CDS most recently released
99.9999999%
isnt some cornell colles test blind?
They were previously and a few may be this year still, but Cornell is going test required for most departments starting next year.
SAT is perfect.
It is
what scores would you recommend submitting for UCs
AP and IB.... SAT/ACT BLIND YO!
You spelled “Worcester” wrong, and it’s pronounced “wistah” polytech ;)
SAT /ACT score are valued by Elite stem schools, not Ivy ones.
Um, multiple ivies went test required this year...
