I just want to state here that I own the Nurocover and just got it to 60c (140F) today on setting number 9 after 20 minutes. I’m not sure if there is a problem with your steamer machine or it’s your biased review since you are affiliated with the other company.
@@theom3854 technically "affiliated" with both companies and ran the test twice. I could just say they're both great and 2x commissions, but I don't do that. My whole platform is based on transparency. Unless they've come out with a better version, the differences in insulation are significant. One reason I believe it doesn't get as hot. Also, keep in mind, that when I did these tests, they're outdoors and the outside temp at the time was around 70. Naturally, as it's getting warmer outside, the temp inside is able to get hotter.
@@Recovatech Fair enough! I really wished you had this video when I bought my 3 months ago as I did a lot of research, since I’m in Canada the Nurocover was significantly cheaper due to shipping. I just wanted to say that it does get very hot, just didn’t want the viewers to assume it only got to 100F. Thanks for your feedback and video
Hey man, how does the Nurecover TropicPro compare? Its triple insulated unlike the original, 15% larger, and 40% more powerful with the prosteam device. Does this beat the saunabox now?
@@jamesm12000 haven't been able to try it yet. Seems promising! That said, SaunaBox updated their sauna tent too. Includes more insulation, a phone and towel holder, and a better window. I have one on the way to try out.
This video just made my decision for me and I’ll be sure to use your link. Nurecover has crazy marketing trying to pressure you into buying plus the portable ice pod and red light therapy. But if you think about it, they’re adding bells and whistles to compensate. That temperature difference had me sold 🥵

Glad to hear! I had someone mention that I seemed a bit too biased, but that was only because I had already had time with both of them. The differences in quality is immediately apparent. The temp test is perhaps the most surprising difference.

I think it really boils down to the thickness of the cover. It's just too thin comparatively.

I am glad I bought the SaunaBox. I had looked at the Amazon choices, and that made my decision easier. I’ve used it the last two days, and I am quite happy. I bought an IcePod pro last summer, and extra insulation is worth paying for, that is, if you truly want to get hot and sweaty. Nice review.🌻❤️
Hey Dale, thanks for commenting. I think a lot of people are like you and they're shopping around. It's hard to tell if something is "better" than others when they all look very similar. The SaunaBox is still going strong for me after all this time (7+ months).
I hadn’t watched the very end where you compared temperatures. I just got done with my third day, 20 minutes and on 7. I took a recovery shower. I am spent. Was this worth $350 to me? Yes.🌻🔥120 degrees, sure feels like enough to me.🤪

Definitely makes it feel more cramped. i just got their new PRO model in to test out. I'll let you know if it's any taller. It's supposed to be "15% larger" or something like that.

No, I have no experience with it. Have you already used it and if so, how was the experience? Does it get hot enough? If it does, returning it and buying the SaunaBox might not be worth the hassle. Then again, based on the photos I'm looking at, it looks a bit cheap. Hard to say.
I just got it yesterday. I did use it and it was only getting to about 104 degrees. My other concern was the material it's made from and if it may be toxic. It was from Amazon so a return should be simple. I think for a little more money I would be better going with the saunabox, for the heat and the fact they had 3rd party testing for bpa and other toxic chems

The steam unit outputs a fixed quantity of steam per minute. As a result a smaller tent volume should actually be an advantage (beyond the lower head height issue) however clearly the poorer insulation means this possible advantage is lost

In the sanua box take off the cap in the inside steamer and add essential oils makes it wayyy hotter !
Great suggestion for anyone reading! I do the same thing. In fact, for this video, the cap was off on both saunas just to make sure it was as fair as possible when it came to checking the temps.

I have a Tropic Pro coming my way within a couple days. Full review hopefully soon. Funny enough, SaunaBox just released an updated version of their sauna with better insulation. They haven’t advertised the improvement on their website. Just published that video though.

Does sauna box have red light Therapy like nurecover ?
For now, no. This is just my opinion, but based on the quality of their sauna, I'd be really interested to test those red lights to see if they're in fact, 660nm. That and I question the efficacy of a single light strip for overall healing. Just me thinking out loud.
Do you recommend the sauna box that is hotter over the red light therapy from nurecover personally ?
@@Eman-nd1yd I recommend the SaunaBox because it's made better, it's bigger, gets hotter, and has better accessories. Adding red light isn't much of a bonus if everything else about it is garbage.

Is the plastic safe in the heat for you?
Im also concerned about this because the tubing that transfers the steam is plastic
So here's my take and obviously there would be no way to say for sure without some independent testing. SaunaBox has numerous third-party safety certifications on their website, like BPA-free. I assume they're legit. From first hand experience, I don't notice any plastic off-gasing or anything of the sort. Although the air is hot, the walls of the tent are actually cool to the touch and covered in condensation when it's on. I suppose like any other steam room/sauna etc out there, you hope it's made ethically without harmful materials. Random comparison, but I think driving around in a new car on a hot day would be far more detrimental. Thanks for watching!
@@brandonrothsman2665 the tubing is actually silicone, which is normally considered safe to heat up.
How do you clean it?
Because it's just water vapor, most times I just open the door all the way and let it air out. Within an hour or so it's dry. Otherwise, just use something like a little vinegar and water and wipe down the sides.
Are there smaller size versions ?
Not yet, but rumor has it one MIGHT be on the way.

Really glad it helped and thanks for the support! You're going to love the SuanaBox. It's getting hotter outside and I've gone from doing 20 minutes down to about 10-15 because it's getting so hot inside. Lots of sweat!
What is the cleaning process like?
Since it's hot steam, it almost self-cleans. When you're done, open the door all the way and let it air out. Mine will dry in an hour or so. You can also use a fan to help. Every once in a while you can use a basic vinegar/water solution and wipe down the walls. The mat you can wash with a hose or throw in the washer. I've had mine for quite some time now and it still looks new. No signs of mildew or anything of the sort.

With infrared panels, yes. Not traditional Finnish unless you enjoy that melted plastic sensation on your skin😂

If you were to buy the Nurecover out of ignorance and didn't know better, you'd probably be happy with it..mostly. But yeah, once you compare it head to head, the differences are super obvious and you'd have buyer's remorse for sure. I really appreciate you watching and commenting!
