Colleen you are always so busy. That's a good thing considering there aren't many repair techs like the '70's. It's a lost art I personally love. So glad you are trying different things, and I'm sure you will do well in everything you do. ❤️🎸

@@that_thing_I_do, yup, back in the day there were hifi amps, and other electronic devices, available in kit form from Eico, Knight-kit, Dynaco, Heathkit, Lafayette Radio, HH Scott, and others, although I'm pretty sure Heath was the only one to offer a guitar amp kit (solid-state as I recall, not tube type). Lafayette might also have offered a guitar amp kit ---- they did sell some fuzz pedals......

Glad to see you thriving Colleen. Please do a vid demonstrating how you use your o'scope for this work and any other electronics testing or diagnostics.
Curious as to an average, if there is one, of how many amps per week you service. I realize there is a huge range of problems and needs but was more interested in how many of the more routine amps per day you crank out when things go well. I see you do a lot but you also move quickly and deliberately. We don't see your research and preparation that may go into amps, so I'm sure sometimes that can take a bit of digging and consulting. Cool to see the whole scope of what you do.

I've been following you since the early days Colleen. Your knowledge and skill, especially for a younger person is mind blowing. I'm an old Blues hack in the Chicago area and I've been fascinated with amps since the 60's. How long until we see a Fazio line of amps for sale at Sweetwater? That's a serious question. You have what it takes to come up with some awesome vintage type circuits and I'm sure anything you come up with would be amazing. Continued success to you. Cheers

I love tweed Tremoluxes, I’ve got a ‘55 that survived 5 days under the Cumberland River with the original transformers intact and working 14 years later. What a testament to the longevity of Leo’s designs!
New amp looks fab, I am guessing the Selmer is probably the same as the UK 'Treble n Bass' that is still quite common to find here in the UK.

Hello Colleen. I have a near mint 1964 Gibson Falcon. It sounds killer but now it has a hum and a louder hum when I switch on the tremolo. I live in Rockford Illinois and since you are in California, I can't bring it to you. Do you know of a good honest vintage amp tech in my area? I wish your shop was closer I would love for you to service it. I have been watching all your videos. They are great.

A town near me has a "dusty" old style amp/guitar/effect repair shop that also sells some stuff. I wish more of that type of stuff was around, not this big box bullshit but people who are passionate about music and throw thwir life into a mom and pop shop.

A few months back I recapped a late 70's Music Man 110 RD50. They are great amps and not bad to work on. So much better than modern amps.

Good to hear you're mixing things up by doing some amp building as well as repairs. Special projects break the monotony that could lead to burnout. It looks like you have no shortage of work. Never get a feeling of being overwhelmed with work.

Do you do solid-state amps? Any car audio?
I service some solid state amps, those are case-by-case! No car audio though
@@FazioElectric Thanks for the reply! I do car audio and solid-state, but I haven't got into tube or transformer output stuff yet. I mostly have done '80's-'90's car audio and some high-end home audio amp repairs with good success. I'm doing well with it for being self-taught.
