Martell's mom is so used to struggling with a 2 parent role that the idea of her son actually being a husband and Melody only doing half of the work that she may have done is a problem. An active husband is not a man who is being taken advantage of mama 😭

I'd come for his credentials too. Watching him allow the other two couples to chime in, with their antagonistic comments. From the very beginning, he did not create nor maintain an environment where the Whitlows felt safe or supported. If he, which he did, missed or overlooked the get-back spirit of the Scott couples comments towards the Whitlows that's a problem. I'm not even trying to evaluate their relationship cause the setup was not conducive to building trust; which is required for a professional to be accepted into a relationship of any type. Tiffany was being defensive and it was a natural response in that made for tv counseling.

I don't think she was jealous. I think it is generational. I have heard women around her age who are married say that younger women are lazy in the house. I think they were taught to believe that it was a woman place to work that hard.
@@frankwright1571 I disagree. She clarified that Mel wasn't lazy around the house, just being lazy in those moments. I think it was more of her experiencing motherhood and not having anyone there for her and having to do everything on her own. So when she sees her son who just got off of work waiting on his wife she was triggered because she had to work and take care of her child alone. When you don't have support from your partner, parenting is HARD.

"Mama Holt is definitely a character" and I agree with Mel. Martel is not just Miss Marlene's son he is her emotional husband. She harbors resentment towards Mel even from that angle. Any gifts Martel gave Mel, any husbandly chores he performed would be viewed by her as undeserved or he was doing too much. Aka "she was trying to kill my boy" SMH. Unreasonable, unrealistic and a bit delusional. The reality was Marlene's boy was tryin to kill Mel! Hmmm!

Omg! I love love love this Dr Francis. Wisdom. Experience. Tenacity. All of this shines through his sessions but what I love the most is what my daughter calls "the face, Mummy, your face says it all". When he is listening, you can actually see him processing in the expressions on his face. Amazing!

I observe Tiffany is emotionally disconnected, and this could be because of her past. Individual counseling may help with this if she isn’t engaging already. She may not even be aware of how much emotional support her Husband truly yearns for. Very sad. I do think they love each other they just don’t have the tools to be as great as they can be.

Marlene has no husband and doesn't know how marriage and family household work. At times the man will do more vice verse. Mel was the brains so she handle the business and martel handle the house.
