- Here is the first instalment of Surrey's Strongest Finale series. Here is Adam, ONE of MANY great garbage men. Id say he's up there for #1 spot tied with a couple of others. Great working attitude and loves his job! All in all Surrey Garbage Men are THE BEST garbage men in the whole wide world. It takes a special breed to be able to do 70 tons of yard waste in one day for 4 weeks straight and still show up to work the next day.
We have officially been replaced by a slower, less efficient automated arm. Here you see SURREY'S REAL GARBAGE MEN. Not the fake new automated drivers that have never picked a can up in there life. It has defiantly shown in the first week of the new contract that surrey is not meant for fully automated garbage, recycling, and organics collection. 3 cars hit hydraulic fuel leaking everywhere and 20% behind within the first day. second day finished at 40% behind and third with 60% of the routes not completed.
To the residents in surrey, what they haven't told you is over 100 people were laid off with the system. The new trucks powered by CNG did not have to automated trucks either, the old style rear loaders can be purchased brand new with the CNG powering the truck. There is nothing left in our hands to fight this new ridiculous system but please enjoy you bi weekly pickup and higher taxes!

Holy shit I give props to this guy, actually gave me a good idea for when I'm back out on the truck. Like how he whips 3 barrels at the same time, seems quite nifty I'm gonna try it this week when I'm out :P
Damn I used to do this out of high school in the early 80's and move very fast, but I couldn't handle the double can maneuver like that..... 2 sweet!

This guy is a machine! I know that job, I've done it as a driver! Driver pulls up, grabs bins and flips them with the runners. jumps back in...moves up, etc. It's full on, but this is awesome!

rriicckk787 that's the trick is to have fun at work anyone that's good at this job and that does this job for real just has fun I think it's funny that every time we put videos on here about trash someone's always faster than someone else but if you're real trash man can you Bleed trash and that's only a saying for us old-school trash man we're all just a family that were different uniforms quit trying to say that you're better than the next because we all know when you say that you don't even pull three times in hr Real trashmen for 7 to 10 ton hour 20 ton in 2 hrs I think this guys good like he does a good job

I'm 52 years old and done this job all my life I can tell you it's just as fast doing it one can at time what's a few seconds a stop anyway
no right or wrong way but when you work hard like this is then becomes a workout
And by that comment i can tell you your either wrong or can't tell time.

Ohhh memories. I used to love getting into the zone like that when I was throwing. People don’t understand this was the first CrossFit training especially when you can run behind the truck or jump up and down the step. I’ve been a trash man for 23 years. This is how I started on the back of the truck by myself now I’m a driver and drive a side loader. But I would never do this with my shirt off that guy is nuts I always wear a long sleeve because of the trash juice that would come out and mag it juice and grass juice 🤮.
Adam kelly sure had plenty of strength and energy on tap. He is lifting heavy bin as there have Styrofoam in them. This feat of picking multiple bins and rotating and lifting them is very rare and deserves respect. However, one thing i will point out, see adam keeping hand bins closer to his body, this maneuver reduces strain on limbs extremities.

I wouldn’t say the strongest but dude looks like a hell of a worker, probably has a good song running through his head and showing off for the camera. Looks like a normal work day for me but I’m a one man crew, driver and thrower 💪. 3 guys on a truck is unheard of.

I almost wish that video was compost. Alot more tricks and 3 and 4 cans due to the smaller can size usually. But thanks budz video looks good. Cant wait till I get some music dubbed on. (should be coming).

I wish I had a go pro when I was a thrower 1500 houses done by 2 start time 6:30, one thing I learned and was the only one to pull it off I would ride the Polly carts to save energy but I double sided most streets and it was just me and the driver I feel like I’m watching myself in this video my style was similar one or two bags in a can of just reach in grab em and race to next can, when your good you treat it like a sport bout to be 30 and now I do rolloff these guys aren’t on drugs your body gets used to it everyday doing it you build more stamina up and have higher tolerance for pain I did this for 7 years and I don’t miss it I hope these guys are drivers now great video though

Those trucks must destroy brakes in no time
The outfit I work at, we have metal on metal by the midway point of month 2 on those brakes.
We don't change them until they lock up; Usually 4 months down the road, though 60 burns them like it's her day job.

I've always wondered if people threw away hazardous items like knives, broken glass, propane canisters, etc. Have any of those items ever caused close calls? What about all that mercury vapor from compact fluorescent bulbs?

Shawn Couwenhoven my town has about 4-5 bags of grass weighing about 50-80 pounds each..pisses me off so much that people even throw that grass out..
