About your injectors, the biggest oem Bosch injectors are 1500cc, if yours are bigger then they are modefied bosch, these can have problems. The VR is a good option but i whould have gone with the 2.7t from a allroad or s4 ;)
Your car was my inspiration a couple yrs ago for k swapping my rx8. It's been fun but been through 4 engines at 750whp and ya missing the low end tq I've been thinking about doing ls but everyone has that swap. So doing 3.5L from a 2016-2023 Tacoma and single turbo it soon. I know a couple guys running 600whp on stock unopened engine with g40 turbo and 2yrs now no issues. So hopefully just some rods and can take 750whp

hmm if you have a bad injector in that vr6 ,,,it will do the exact same damage ,,,,the engine bit is irrelevant to that failure ,,,drag engines have a short finite life ,,no way round it,,in fairness the vr6 will add 200ftib over a wider rev range ,,,think these like a head gasket too though
@@BEYTEK the sleeved blocks in the scoob EJ engines are the same ,,expensive fitment and prone to dropping a liner ,,which normally writes the block off anyway,,,some make 900 some and plod on for years, others die at 500,,no guarentee even though the liners themselves are very tough
Oooh people always wanna see a VR6 build! Kinda surprised you didn't go 07K, but I imagine this is a bit cheaper. What's the part number on the injectors you were using? We put some Bosch big bois in our 13B engine and I don't want that to die from them. Cool stuff man!
Any interest in going with aftermarket injectors? Not exactly yours style but are you familiar with sloppy mechanics? Ls stuff mostly but going fast for cheap and it sounds like it's up your alley. The "don't bs me" series of videos is a good start :)
@@BEYTEK thats probably how i found your channel then :) Could you do a water/methanol injection system to bypass some of the fuel headaches? or do what that one guy did in that twin charged lotus that was on the the drive channel back in the day with two fuel tanks? sorta artificial octane boosting? I think i'm talking out of my ass here, but maybe i'll have said something helpful lol

I've heard of extreme fuel pressure causing injectors to seize, but wouldn't expect it on Bosch units.
@@tommylyeah yeah man it was an issue with its coil, after 75% duty it just weakened and didnt like to open. Not a common issue
Or make the oil plate separate with studs and space the mount out so it's not directly connected to oil lines ? Just some ideas 😂

@@iliketorockrock yes thats right anything more than 1500cc is natual gass injector and have rubber internals that swell with mbte. These were 1000cc

Good call! Those motors are pretty over rated especially in rwd form and very expensive for what they are. Tons of other better platforms.
