I feel like they could have done more work to make this blend into the original building. Just looks like a big white box on this beautiful old structure 🤔
Yep.. As soon as you take a minute to do the math and look realistically, it's not that great. And I'm not even talking from a perspective of someone who could ever afford this, even If I could, it wouldn't be nearly my top choice
@@chetgordonbush Yeah but generally people have walls and curtains, this place is built as if it were in the middle of nowhere. There's a good reason why no other building does that...
I had an apartment when I lived in Texas that the previous tenet put almost mirrored car window tint on all the windows. I never thought to do that before and it worked really well for reflecting heat and preventing people from seeing in.
Yeah, for a reason. In NYC buildings are packed tightly so there is no privacy if there is large glass doors. LA mansions usually have large compound around the house that provides privacy. Also, climate is awful in NYC compared to LA. It is extremely cold in winter and hot/ humid in summer, not like year round gentle climate of south California

The air pollution and the pigeons would be of concern too. Realistically I don't think you'd be opening those window panels much at all. Especially with white furniture hehe. Apart from that it's a gorgeous place.
Nobody can become financially successful over night. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals.
I think it's not always about fear, Sometimes realistic factors discourage people from reaching their goals in life. For instance, I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value.
I would never be able to truly relax with the other buildings so close. I would feel like people could watch ne every second. If i spend that kind of money on a home, then i would like to have some privacy and walk around butt naked if i wanted, without having to constantly feel that i had eyes on me
Are the windows tinted so that you can look out but the neighbors can't look in? I would be less inclined to leave the doors open for privacy. Fabulous place!
I like to compliment the designer who selected these paintings in this video. I really enjoy the piece by the stairs in the first penthouse. Alright alright alright 🤙🏻
When I heard penthouse at 28mil, I thought it was going to be higher than other surrounding buildings... There's so many windows on the opposite street, that reminds me of Hitchcock's Rear Window... other ppl watching you while you cook, eat, take a bath, sleep (those tiny tiny bedrooms and bathroom that has floor to ceiling windows, unless you have ur curtains closed all day long)... Come on!
Lol what’s crazy is once I realized the $28m was total for both, and the one I prefer is $15m, it almost sounds like a bargain! 🤦🏽♀️🤤🤤🤤🤤 penthouse west for sure! 👌🏾
It's funny with the emphasis on all h the kitchen appliances and details, I wonder how often they're used...Amazing place and inspiration regardless! Also love the humor 😅
How in the world does it look so luxurious despite having a “basic finish” with white ceilings and walls? How? Can any builder / architect / real estate professional pls explain
it's naturally expensive to keep white clean no one can do it without a personal maid and personal chef. also doesn't hurt that most places in the world with non-white and non-rich residents use a lot of color in their house decor and style; aka: being white separates this space from being associated with those two categories which, for those with internalized racism and classism-- which is most of the world because of the systems of power prevalent in most societies, makes it appear to be owned by someone who is in a "powerful" category of society.
My opinion. From outside you got amazing architectural building and on top this random box. It doesn't go along at all.. He's maybe right that it's never been done before because it doesn't make sense. I am from London and this looks to me like office instead of "penthouse". Should have kept a similar style. But hey, there is an upside whoever built this is making an easy 5 milli and the sucker paying that ahah. 28m can get you sooo much better!
here I am contemplating about building a tiny ass house and going on vacay whenever I want or investing in real estate so maybe one day I could afford this landmark

Look, dumb ass question: When you got a bathroom like 16:53, how do you use that tub? You just get buck nekkid for everyone in NYC to see or do the windows frost over? Custom blinds have to be hilariously expensive for those windows.
It's an art project as uber wealthy fantasy, not for actual living. It will be bought as an investment and sit empty or bought by some oligarch/sports/entertainment figure and sold 3 years later.
Ryan, the home is awesome but I have to say….. YOU’RE DOING YOUR DAMN THANG OUT HERE!!!!! You are truly living out your words! “EXPANSION ALWAYS, IN ALL WAYS.” 👍🏽👍🏽

Interesting, most people don't understand the market moves and tend to be mislead in facts like this and always depend on Money in the Bank very bad idea
The place is wonderful. Love it. 100% would consider buying if I ever had the money 🤣. And if it was located anywhere else I could actually enjoy "outdoor living" more than a third of the year. Glass walls will be closed from October to April. There's a reason why this "doesn't exist in the city" (or most comparable cities in the US or even Europe when it comes to weather). I'm pretty sure this would be cheaper AND more useful in Miami, LA or even Barcelona. I really wanted to like it more.

who cares about the old structure, its just a pedestal
yea im not feeling it also

I kind agree with you, if they worked with the element of the old structure, it could have heighten the look
You know, Ryan? I love how energized you are. You seems happier talking about the wall than most people are talking about they wedding day.
Yeah. So passionate lol
He's a good realtor.
He was a theater major in college. It shows haha
I always find his presentation to be a little insincere and fake.
$5K/month in HOA fees... $79.5K/year in taxes.

Thank you!
I don't know if you know that he is a real actor, that's the main reason why he came to New York, good for him, he is a real hustler.
Ryan, the real estate super storyteller. 💕 Have seen this from the street, but not from up top, sweet place!

Yeah, I just don't get the idea of a Penthouse being overlooked by everybody. Not my first choice at all, shame cause it is lovely.
