Thank you, Tammy. It’s nice to see how colors perform in different brands. I love both Sennelier and Daniel Smith. You do a wonderful job showcasing the colors. Thanks again.
I was just able to watch this video and wanted you to know how much I appreciate the time and money you spent on comparing these. Even tho they aren’t all exact pigments it still gives me a good sense of the differences!!
Your comparison videos are so well-done and useful. Thank you so much!
Your videos are so helpful in making decisions about what to buy - I am so grateful!
Sennelier has a very beautiful sap green .
Could you describe how different both brands feel, when you are using them?
I have bought both but now I have found I like sennelier more as sennelier dries brighter. Although I love Daniel Smith browns and primatek colours.
I love Sennelier
Me as well..... I dont like anything else
But this sennelier set you have isnt this a la petit sennelier set?
The pigment in Senn. Bright Red (619) is Toluidine Red, PR3
This was fun to watch. I love Sennelier and Daniel Smith. After watching this video I lean more toward Daniel Smith. The colors are more vibrant. The mixed colors definitely are more beautiful with Daniel Smith. That DS yellow ochre mixed with alizarin crimson is gorgeous! I would love to see you do a painting with each brand! Great video!
Awww thank you so much for watching the video. I’m so pleased you enjoyed it. Yes the skin tone was lovely, I plan on doing comparison videos where I do the same painting but I’m trying to figure out how to film them without the video being to long. I haven’t painted a portrait in a while but I’ll give it a go soon 😊
I’ve subscribed to you also and look forward to watching your videos when I finish work 😊
Thank you Tammy! I haven’t made a video in a long time. I’ve just been too sick. But I am hoping to be able to begin again soon. The watercolor videos on my channel are when I very first started to paint. I’ve learned so much since then. 😁 Welcome to my channel! 🙂
Sennelier colours are more natural looking than DS - their strength is in glazing where their luminosity is second to none. Both those reasons are why professional botanical artists use them.
I have grown to really enjoy my sennelier set, after I understood how best to use them. The glazing is amazing and then the colours are really vibrant.
Woah

Get the Sennelier 8 if a beginner . It’s inexpensive and Artist grade. I use both brands.
Hansa Medium would have been better to compare to Lemon yellow. J/s
Great comparisons!
DS has a py3 color called hansa yellow light. Not sure why the same paints/pigments weren't used for the comparison.
Maybe she didn’t have it…..? Average people don’t typically have EVERY watercolor color, especially with how expensive professional grade is for average people.
Exactly Evelyn!
Love ❤️ your videos you got your self a new subscriber
Aww thank you so much 😊
You could always draw a line down the middle of the painting, a nd dedicate one side for sennelier and the other side for Daniel Smith... Just a suggestion
NR = Natural Red
Haha that makes perfect sense 😂
It’s just not fair to compare them, so so different 😅
How different
@@anony5021 Lemon Yellow and Cad Yellow for starters
@@mikeware-lane1347 lol sennelier has a more vibrant soft watercolor effect. One of the best don't know about Daniel Smith
