- Candlemass Top 10. Doom Metal Special Guests. Part of the ultimate compilation of Thrash Metal Riffs that span 25 years of Thrash Metal. The intention is to promote the revival of Thrash Metal. Support the bands....buy the music! I think this is fair use of Copyright as most of the clips are very short.
Not puting here the ending riff of ''Under the Oak'' or ''A sorcerer's Pledge'' Intro is just criminal.

Time to slow things down a bit. Welcome to the first Doom Metal band to appear on the channel. Candlemass are a very good Doom Metal band. But with Goliath vocalist Messiah Marcolin, they are a World Class Doom Metal Band. Enjoy the dizzy operatic performances from the big man and I look forward to his soon to be solo album with some brilliant musicians apparently...

No matter the singer, there's just too many bad ass songs on the Epicus Doomicus Metallicus album, to be leaving out of the top 10.

No new news as such. I think he's been 'writing songs for a new solo record' since about 2008. His Facebook site is active but not a lot going to happen soon by the looks of it but it does still say he is currently 'writing songs'.
In my opinion, I think candlemass has some of the evilest guitar riffs of any band! Bewitched would have to be the best honestly.
A very good list .... but if i was doing it , i would've added " The day and the night" somewhere in the top5 , maybe top3
But... where is epicus doomicus metallicus? Crystal ball? under the oak? Solitude?
+Denise Di Amico Yeah all good songs but I was always a fan of the Marcus era Candlemass which I just happen to think is much better.

Just personal choice, I just can't listen to Candlemass without Messiah. It's not a bad album but would have been a great album with Messiah on vocals.

This is the second video that has done this. If i play something called candlemass top 10 i expect to hear 10 full songs...not clips or some guy talking the whole time like the first video some one posted. not trying to sound like a dick dude but i am drawing and i just wanna hear some ones top 10 favorite candlemass songs, guess i'll listen to my own.
+Mik Dead I have 650 similar vids. And these vids are designed to get an introduction in to band you may are may not like. I've introduced bands to thousands of thrashers. Hardly anyone has the patience to listen to every full track to find out a Top 10. Plus that's no longer 'Fair Use Of Copyright' which legally vids like this can hide behind. Full tracks are much more likely to fall foul of copyright law. If you like the clips the point is then to go and get the full CDs of the band in question. And all opinions welcome dude :)

Yes, Messiah almost defines Candlemass, but there are other amazing songs without him. This list only contains songs with him. Thumbs down.
