I just ordered this a couple of days ago, and I am waiting, patiently. I am 47 years old, so, I heard 3 or 4 songs off this album over and over, back then, on the radio, for the next 5 years. I initially loved what I heard, but as I was pummeled with the hits off of this album for years, This album wore on Me, and I could replace this album with a slew of other rock albums of the era. When I hear a song repeatedly for a long time, and at a rapid pace, it ruins my appreciation of the song, and my mind creates a cartoon, or simplified version of the song, because of the over exposure. In turn, I become dismissive of said song, or, band, and have totally forgotten how amazing the music actually is, and how I recognized how good It was when I first heard It all those years ago. Because of this reissue, and other discussions on youtube about audiophile pressings, I went back and listened to "Core" again, and have regained My original amazement of this album.
Awesome. I totally understand where you are coming from. I'm 48. When it came out, it was lumped in with everything else that came out around then. STP was a much more classic sound with a 90s edge. I appreciate it a lot more now. I'm glad you've rediscovered it too. Thanks for your comment. 🤘🏻😎
Just got a copy it looks and sounds fantastic!! Looking forward to the Purple release later this year. Already pre ordered it. 🤘
Awesome 🤘🏻😎 Enjoy. I can't wait for that Purple release, too.
I'm 100% with you. Scott was the best vocalist of the early 90's. Love the sound quality of this release.
Couldn't agree more! Thank you for your comment. And enjoy that record 🤙🏼😎
That is great they are adding newer titles to this reissue. Funny I say newer titles, it’s around 30 years old lol.
Hey Steve. Yes, I was pleasantly surprised when they announced this one, and I wish they'd do more 90s pressings. Thank you for the comment.
