- Evening Sunset Walk in Valentine in Red Dead Redemption 2 with 4K Ultra Max Graphics. Valentine is a livestock town, a short ride away from the Horseshoe Overlook camp; the first camp the gang makes after their exodus from the frigid mountains.
Several suppliers and businesses can be found within the town including two saloons, a butcher, a doctor, a general store, a gunsmith, a newspaper stand, and a hotel.
The northern section of Valentine contains the main street with most of the buildings and businesses. The southern section is home to the livestock yards, including various pens, and the auction yard. The east side of town is home to a smaller saloon, a few homes, and the town church.
Temperatures in Valentine are fairly cool and rarely reach double figures (Celsius), even during the day. The nights are also fairly cool, although the temperature won’t usually drop below freezing. Valentine is on approximately the same latitude as Van Horn Trading Post.
"A rough, raucous, hard-working town that provides livestock at auction to Heartlands landowners, and rest and refreshment to thirsty cowboys. It's nicknamed "Mudtown" because the streets, buildings, and most of the residents are rarely clean."

A Walk through Valentine....
I was told by several people back in St. Denis that this
was a growing town and since St. Denis was getting
very over crowded and all of the good jobs were taken
and even all of the bad ones were taken as well....
Well I packed up my belongings which was just some
clothing, some money, a pistol and bullets, a rifle and ammo,
bought some food at the general store and set out on foot
from St. Denis to Valentine....
I know I could have took a train or stagecoach but I don't like being
cooped up with a lot of people for a long period of time and I'm not
good with horses either so on foot I go, oh I'll stop from time to time
and camp out in some places on the trail and if I find any small inn
along the way and it's not to crowded or expensive I'll hole up for little
while until I move on again down the road....
I'll come across a lot of unsavory and disreputable people along the way
as well as bandits and the lot but I'm very good with both my pistol and my
rifle and also good at fist fighting and wrestling also so I'm not exactly someone
to take lightly and I stand 6'2" and weigh 211 pounds....
I've finally made it to Valentine it took me a weeks worth of walking and a lot of
exercise and I've never walked so far my entire life and as I walk through Valentine
they of course have a sheriff's office & jail, a town hall, a town courthouse, a tailoring shop,
a newspaper office, a general store, a saloon, a hardware store, a hotel, a tobacco shop,
a barber shop, a dressmaker shop, a feed store, a blacksmith shop & livery stable, a bank,
a restaurant, a funeral home, a church and cemetery surrounding it, a law office, a school,
a land office, a dry cleaning shop, a gunsmith shop, a boarding house, freight company and
stage line, a post office, and the railroad runs a mile from town with the train station on the edge
of town and there's usually a couple of taxi buggies parked next to the station to bring people from
the train station to town....
I've only been here for a couple of hours and it's a nice place but it will never be St. Denis
or be as big as it most the people that live in and around Valentine are either ranchers, farmers,
and homesteaders who most work in town at the various businesses and I've got a job working
at the freight company as a laborer and a room at the boarding house....
I don't know how long I will be here but if things work out good for me I'll stay here indefinitely
I don't have any kinfolk in St. Denis anymore as both of my parents are deceased and I only have
one sibling a sister four years younger than me who lives in Blackwater with her husband who is an
accountant for the city, they have three children and are well respected in the community of Blackwater
and she and I never got along, I also have some distant cousins scattered out here and there but I never
got along with any of them either, I was married briefly to a school teacher in St. Denis but she got tired
of me not holding a good job and divorced me and we were only married a year and have been divorced
for eight years now and I hear she's married again and has a couple of children....
Yeah, I think I'll stay here for a while and start over again in Valentine, well wish me luck here and prayfully
I'll have better luck here, well have to go I start work tomorrow and gotta get some rest, good night all.
