The more I see of the BTS stuff from this series, the more I think the casting directors got it RIGHT and the results are going to blow us all away. Even the costumes are perfect - just what the world of the manhua/donghua should look like in the three-dimensional world. (I’m also getting the feeling that this has a much bigger budget than The Untamed OR Word of Honor did.)

ikr? ive also been wondering the same thing, like, this whole time... seeing how most actors who play in LA adaptation always have, errr, this kind of tingling friendship wherever they are (yesimtalkingaboutyizhanand2ha'sactors), i kinda wanna the same thing from these actors... but well beggars cant choose, i guess. as long as they play the roles properly
I noticed that as well and have been thinking about it. Maybe because of what other BL adaptations actors went through they are being cautions so people won't start shipping them because of the bts and also having to deal with rumors or something.
I think one of the reasons why they look like that is because fansites have to be careful about uploading videos that don't show spoilers, and because u know c ent kinda like a mess right now so they need to avoid cp feel. They need to be lowkey right now. Individual fansite more active than cp fansite in sharing videos on weibo. I see some leaked photos that show their closeness behind the scenes but because it contains spoilers so it's not shared with the public
