Thanks for watching! I had about five years of footage to work with, so this was a nice change of pace to work on. I want to put out a larger variety of content when I can, which includes more casual highlight reels like this one. Don't get it twisted though: Essay-style videos are STILL the main focus of this channel, I just have too much footage that would never see the light of day if I didn't make stuff like this. The next essay video is currently being drafted, but I might make another for-fun style video in the meanttime. I'll be differentiating them with no prefix, a mark in the thumbnail, and by releasing them on different days of the week (Hopefully friday/saturday in the future).
I wholeheartedly believe that Smash Bros Ultimate is such a beautiful and fun game in almost every way. Such a colorful and personality filled cast, somehow quite balanced despite its super large cast, so much to do from a casual, competitive, and any other way you want to play the game, standpoint. I think, beneath all the toxicity and the arguments on the meta and the player rankings and the game design criticisms, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is such an incredible game. I'm so happy to have played this game for as long as I have. Anyway, that snake at 7:00 is quite funny.
Technically speaking the game's beautiful. Nintendo must've worked insanely hard to get all this working, and Sakurai's channel having several videos showcasing the inner workings of the game is proof of that!
This was an amazing watch. We need more of this! I love clips that showcase comedy as much as skill. This kind of positivity is great. Lord knows we all have our own memories of funny interactions in this game. Keep it up mate, cheers 🎉

One of my favorite interactions in this game was on the dk stage with the hut. I was ridley and my opponent was sephiroth. We somehow both ended up under the stage and they got got by klaptrap and almost immediately after I got got by the same klaptrap. We had a moment of teabagging in laughter at that one.
My friend has Brawler as a secondary, and funny things tend to happen during our games. This video just confirms that funny things happen with Brawler. And before anyone cites DK as a funny character, that same friend also has DK as a secondary. We’ve had some interesting games
Love a good clip montage. Especially one that goes both ways with the funny happenings. Props also for actually putting the name of the used music. People forget to do that too often.
Imo, Smash Ultimate is beautifully crafted. It's simultaneously thoughtfully designed with passion and care, while also leaving MORE than enough room for wacky, bonkers, unadulterated, "what just happened" moments at almost all times. And I wouldn't have it any other way :]
I completely respect putting clips of no only you hitting nasty things on others, but of you getting utterly destroyed. Real recognize real. Amazing content as usual and I am totally be onboard for these type of videos every now and again.
Despite it's flaws, smash is still a fun game to play casually with friends. I may not care for the game competitively, but playing on customs like accurate brawl FD is always fun. Accurate brawl FD is brawl FD with wind boxes below the ledge.

I once played a game with my two brothers. It was me as Game & Watch, one for my brothers as Ridley and the other as Rob and we were playing with items on. Said to the one playing Ridley "Hey, if you fill my bucket I'll let you have the next 4 times." He agreed and filled my bucket. The very next item was that Kirby star thing which I let him pick up, he then proceeded to use it to fly off the map and die. We laughed for a solid minute.
I once was playing with that one guy with white, ripped shirt (ryu I think) and just when he did the down kick, I pressed neutral B as sonic, so I somehow accidentally avoided an attack. And if you really wanna know, I lost
