FIRSTLY, you need to understand that both phones are old technology now, they're not going to be as fast compared to an iPhone 12 or something. Samsung are just more innovative than iPhone, I won't bore you by talking about customisation but S-Beam for example, although it was released just under a year later than Airdrop it was more advanced and you could transfer much larger files wirelessly whereas airdrop was very restricted and the charging port cover to avoid dirt & grime from getting into the port. Everything on the Samsung is more advanced hence why the apps took a second longer to load but in the real world you wouldn't notice that, for example when you opened the camera settings and there was rows & rows of options.
The S5 has to be compared with the iPhone 5s because the S5 came out in early 2014 and the i5s came out in late 2013. We're only a few months apart and the i6 has to be compared to the Note4 or S6.
I still have a Galaxy s5 .Samsung’s touchwiz is pretty unstable cuz of too much bloatware I moved to lineage os . Samsung should have given this phone an upgrade to android 7 . I think this phone would be very stable with Samsung Experience 8.5 . I have a galaxy s3 neo that’s running a custom rom based on Samsung Experience 8.5 based on android 7.1.1 it’s very stable and responsive as compared to the s5’s stock touchwiz marshmallow…
samee.. samsung s5 really very lag on roblox at 1 graphics. and modded 1920x1080 to 1280x720. still laggy at warm and custom rommed to android 7 "cyanogenmod 14.1" has better fastest.. still lag and worst battery with new brand... iphone 6 really smooth on roblox at 1GB ram... in Work at a pizza place. and max graphics still smooth like 40-60fps and samsung s5 5-15fps at max graphics.. low graphics 15-25fps on 720p same iphone 6 but 750p samsung s5 stopped RUclips app. and laggy on 1080p 60fps (m.youtube) you have to run 30fps and iphone 6 still work youtube app with very old still running and 1080p 60fps really smooth. samsung s5 android 4.4.2 to 6.0.1 but iphone 6 from iOS 8 to 12.5.7 legend!!
