Hey gigabeef , I tried out the stubby SA today and it was a bunch of fun , just wanted to tell you how much you’ve helped my friend get into the game and learn the mechanics . You always look at things out of the perspective of a beginner .
i pefer the long barrel barter from mechanic for 2 nixxor and a rat poison, you can sell the silencer, barrel and handguard on the flee and run the gun for pretty much free.
this shit is gonna be nerfed into the ground next wipe. that’s kinda how bsg does balancing. Make one caliber so op, and give one weapon in that calibre so much op stats that everything else looks mid or bad in comparison. Example, 7.62x39 (specifically the mutant) would be all anyone would ever use back when I still seriously played this game
SA58s A classic, but when it come to ergo & vertical recoil, black MDR & scar are overall better choices, which is why you see more people rocking those guns as well as the sig spear with 6.8, granted if the FAL had better overall ergo & recoil it'd be a top tier choice, i still like running it every now & then, but I'm a bit of a sig Sauer fanboi when it comes to the spear.
If anyone is like me and cannot stand the absurd muzzle flash from the BMD, just throw the riser under whatever optic you want to run. Your height over bore is a little worse, but the muzzle is significantly reduced, well worth it IMO.
"it's meta already it's meta it's meta!" - Sure. But some guns need to be realized for their potential at winning against teams as a solo. A lot of content creators don't focus on this aspect of how a solo player needs to gear differently to how someone on a squad is going to run, and this gun is perfect for it. Yeah, the same could be said for any gun with a decent mag size, but decent rounds for the SA-58 is fairly easy to obtain even somewhat early into wipe, modding the gun to be a decent build alongside running a full sized mag is not overly expensive (depending on how you get your blast kit), and it's even not terrible at medium ranges.
BROOOOO I literally just tried one out today to do a factory to try and grind skav kills and wanted a bigger mag with decent ammo. dont quite have my best ammo unlocked so i grabbed this trade.. i was so impressed by its original ergo and then modded it slightly. took it in and was LIKE WHAAAAAAAT this is fucking amazing lol
I don't know if my eyes are just bad, but I cannot handle the muzzle flash out of an un-suppressed shorty SA-58. Especially in dark environments I just lose targets, even after upgrading my PC.
Muzzle flash is always a problem for me too. I tend to use thermal sights like reap-ir and sometimes that little reflex one on smaller maps to negate it, alternatively you can use that one riser mount or mount a deltapoint on top of a scope mount and it helps a bit
I feel like every stacked player running lvl6 plates, you just HAVE TO use either MDR with M61 or a FAL with the same round, as the spear with the Hybrid ammo just doesn't cut it, given how much lvl6 plates + lvl3 aramid can tank those Hybrid rounds. Yeah, you have to have the craft unlocked, which most people dont have, but it's worth it late wipe.
For the SA-58, I prefer the OKP-7 sight because it blocks so little space on the screen As for loud vs suppressed I prefer the SA-58 on loud because oh my god does it just sound so powerful
It's over! With patch 0.15, the recoil drops to a maximum of 95. SA58 is over, too much recoil, the m80 is less effective, and it's no longer possible to buy the m62. Move on.
Who cares about the INSANE FAL against squads when you get killed by invisible AI scavs, making no sound, seemingly being bugged out walking in place....but in the games reality they are not, only on my end....Coming back to this crap after a month break from the game...makes me feel like I should totally give up on this big mess of a game...

Literally the only weapon I run on Labs as a solo (sp-tarkov live-like AI). The Sig Spear cannot compete with only 25 rounds

In current wipe - exact same attachments meets different stats. Recoil is above 100 unfortunately - any new builds for it?
At 28:08 when you encounter the player, you have a frame where a voiceline appears on the bottom can you explain?

Ever since the new recoil was added all I’ve been doing is using this gun. It is the BEST FULL AUTOMATIC WEAPON IN THE GAME!!!
