Pretty useful especially when bartering that way you know if that person is trading you a full tank for whatever item that person wanted from you.
Harbor Freight sells a a device that lets you refill the small propane tanks from the bigger tanks for around $5. Definitely recommend
maybe a video? hint, hint

@@LouieLou998 DP comin' through! I'm sure I wasn't the only one curious so right on man, thank you!
@@watcher-someone-awake I’m camera shy 😂

Yeah the MAP Pro cylinders are the tall yellow ones for torches
Home Depot now has these, branded Bernzomatic.
Definitely a handy gadget...better to know when ur going empty then to find out at the moment.
I purchased one of these today. I'm new at using propane. I figured it would help me along the way.
Actually picked a few of these up a couple of months ago. Good to see a review!
Great information there was a gauge at Bass Pro Shop that you could use to fill those tanks I had one and lost it sure could use it today freaking cold here in North Florida keep up the great work brother Godspeed
Seems damn handy.
Wish they had one for isobutane.
👍Thank you. 💝
Yes difficult to find😩
This looks like a truly helpful device.
Amazon has a certified refillable 1 lb propane kit, that you can refill from a bulk (20 lb) bottle. Would love to see a review of that system.
Aside from it being illegal (a violation of federal law), there are several refill kits available and I’ve heard pretty good things about most of them.
Amazon has it.
Now that will go perfectly for my video i have coming up on refilling those cans
I use my kitchen scale
Not very portable
@@totallyfrozen there are mini scales…at least you can use it for other tasks and not a dedicated tool.
I had no idea...
🤜🏻👍🤛🏻♡♡♡
Wal-Mart only sells these in store.
I just shake it & guesstimate. Neat gadget but, thats just another thing i have to pack & worry about.
They’re pretty small and light weight. Not much bigger than a cigarette lighter.
thks
OOPS, brass caps.
The tanks store better with a cap.
Nice!
Pretty neat gadget. Now the question is are those green cylinders refillable ive heard mixed opinions
Technically, they are, meaning, they are physically refillable. However, it is a violation of federal law to refill one or to transport a refilled one. So if you do refill, just remember that any accidents you have will be on your own head and insurance will not pay out.
You're right this thing is next to impossible to find. Checked all the websites can't find it.
Sorry I forgot to put the link up its in there now but here it is

Your local Walmart MIGHT have them in sporting goods during spring and summer when camping season starts. That’s the only time I’ve ever seen them
Tried to buy a few of those but walmart does not sell them online, and the nearest store is 300 miles one way, for a 5 dollar guage!
Easily found online, ebay, Amazon, ext.
How to discharge the empty 16 oz propane gas bottles?
Can you put something like petroleum jelly around the safety valve of a new tank to stop it from rusting and then leaking?
As far as the relief valve, I don’t know. I’d have to research if petroleum jelly is safe around propane. Also, if a component of the valve is of a material that decays in the presence of petroleum jelly is a question. I don’t know what’s in there, nylon?
Have you reviewed the Flame King refillable 1lb propane tanks?
No, but i will check into them, Have never heard of them before now
@@Iridium242 oh yeah they are great.
Not on Amazon like you said
If you still have the packaging or instruction sheet, what is the model number of this item?
Part Number 423676
Item model number 423676
Hope that helps

Thanks. I have one of these. Just trying to find the number for searches. I bought mine at my local Walmart last year, but these are notoriously hard to find.
Great gadget, George. Great review. Check out my new video
