    Pretty useful especially when bartering that way you know if that person is trading you a full tank for whatever item that person wanted from you.

    Amazon has a certified refillable 1 lb propane kit, that you can refill from a bulk (20 lb) bottle. Would love to see a review of that system.

    • @totallyfrozen
      @totallyfrozen 2 года назад

      Aside from it being illegal (a violation of federal law), there are several refill kits available and I’ve heard pretty good things about most of them.

    Pretty neat gadget. Now the question is are those green cylinders refillable ive heard mixed opinions

    • @totallyfrozen
      @totallyfrozen 2 года назад

      Technically, they are, meaning, they are physically refillable. However, it is a violation of federal law to refill one or to transport a refilled one. So if you do refill, just remember that any accidents you have will be on your own head and insurance will not pay out.

    Can you put something like petroleum jelly around the safety valve of a new tank to stop it from rusting and then leaking?

    • @totallyfrozen
      @totallyfrozen 2 года назад +1

      As far as the relief valve, I don’t know. I’d have to research if petroleum jelly is safe around propane. Also, if a component of the valve is of a material that decays in the presence of petroleum jelly is a question. I don’t know what’s in there, nylon?
