- A horrifying video of a tired looking me attempting to break the 4th wall and talk to camera.... and failing! Enjoy 6 minutes of me mainly squirming and trying to remember only half of what I needed to say... but hey it's better than nothing!

I bought a handful of Benders from you back on Feb 23 (batch P), the same time I bought an equal amount of Heltec V3's. The V3's still haven't shipped yet so I'm in no rush at all for my Bender cases haha.

Thanks! I’m pretty sure you’re right! I have about three batches printed awaiting cables right now. Final new printer came online last night which I believe means I could produce one entire batch per day 🤯 If only I could solder that quick… cross your fingers the solution to that is coming!

I think one of the reasons its been such a success is that its a great design, so credit to you. One thought would there be scope to sell it as a kit and let the buyer solder it themselves?
I paused the hardware kits due to lack of time but you may be right, a “solder your own kit” would be easy for me to get out. I’ll possibly add that in the next 48hrs, thanks Graham!

Well done for all your hard work! My only concern is by making the 3D print files available you risk being ripped off by others cloning your work. I bought the files already and am very pleased of course.
Thanks Tony! It’s bound to get ripped off at some point, Andy and Lewis have done me a huge favour though by making it well known so it’s harder to get away with!

I co-owned a web design studio for over 10 years but left that last year to pursue health and happiness you could say. 3D printing had been a hobby for 7 years and I toyed with selling licensed prints from a few designers last year while learning more of the realities of ecommerce. I made Bender for myself but the universe decided it had different plans it seems... so now, yes, I am rolling the dice and "having a go" and making this a full time venture. Life gives you opportunities sometimes you have to grasp and I intend to try and do as much good as I can with this gift everyone who has bought bender has given me.

I love my cases so far! Had one question though, if I use rechargeable batteries, does inputting power through the USB C does it have the ability to charge the battery?

What about a “double bender” 😅 that lets you slot two 18650’s in?
Honestly extra capacity isn't my focus as a good 18650 should give 24hrs of usage for most people. It is a dumb cell though and as the Heltec doesn't have discharge protection a different battery may be a better option... thats the only hint I'm giving!
What printers do use
I run Prusa MK4 and MK3S printers. I started 7 years ago with a Prusa MK2 kit and have owned a couple of Creality and Elegoo printers in the past. My opinion is you cannot beat building a Prusa to learn 3D printing. They are a machine, not a consumer appliance. I pity the person that buys a fully assembled printer with no experience who then has a bearing fail after 6 months!
