Hey Nikki, I was a service tech at a Chrysler dealer and was the diesel guy, we serviced Sprinter vans back then and I was factory trained on them. EGR systems is one of the worst things that was ever mandated for diesel engines. To help with that every now and then when you find your self going up a steep hill gun it and blow that baby out. I ran into this a lot with doctors and lawyers who bought 3500`s because they could and never used the trucks like they were meant to be used, instead put putting to the office and that clogs the EGR system with soot. I can tell that you are a very careful driver, I hope this helps. Thanks for the videos it makes my day seeing you and Camper have fun.

OH MY GOD!! YACHATS! You just made me cry! My family used to be from Yachats (grandparents, uncle, aunt, and cousins). I grew up in that small town...:-) My uncle owned the Shamrock Lodgetts and owned half the beach....where I used to go looking for sand dollars and starfish with my late grandfather. My father and grandfather both had their ashes spread in the ocean there. My sister and cousin both married their husbands at the little log church....:-)

We all have living expenses, whether it be your home on wheels or like me a grounded home. Mine requiring $33,000 in repairs to the roof/etc, requiring borrowing from my 401K. You never get away from unexpected and stressful living expenses. Safe travels and good times to you and Camper.
Our family of five did a cross country motorcycle trip and part of it was along the same place that Nikki is spending her time. It was beautiful. I’m very jealous of her time there and I’ll look forward to being able to return to that area someday . I would advise though for those visiting the area to stay on the coastal side of the main highway, which is 101. When venturing into the forest on the inland side, we made the mistake of camping where others were stashing contraband substances. One night we were surrounded by group that thought they could scare us off by making strange noises and whistles. We circled the bikes and broke out “hardware “ that we were licensed to possess and things settled down. It was later after speaking with locals that we learned the deal.

I'm from Grant's Pass little town north of Medford but hey grew up there so miss the Rivers the Beautiful scenery and that breath taking Oregon Coast not a Coast like it. You made the correct choice, MB Sprinter. We’ve owned one since 2010. Get the 7/140k extended warranty, and max prepaid maintenance. Like the 20k mile service interval. That MB service center is amazing. Neat Oregon vide, wonderful coastal scenes. Neat content; well assembled. Thanks for sharing.

Great to see Camper at work and play. at 8:08 and other times,I noticed your Driving lights were incorrectly aimed. The 2 on the front bumper. They should hit the road about 70' ahead of you, not pointed skyward. Should be a simple wrench adjustment. Incredible beach and scenery. Thanks for the tour.

You should put security cameras all over your van, Nomadic Fanadic has them along with stickers saying it’s video 24/7 I believe it’s the reason he’s never been broken into! Also protect yourself from vandalism or someone hitting your van and leaving
Nikki, I love how you and camper easily adjust and find hikes wherever you are. I agree about the sprinter, it is fabulous, and just like any other van, it can have issues. I purchased a sprinter built out by PleasureWay last year and I absolutely love my van. I don’t live in it, it is my office on wheels and traveling vehicle. I want to highlight that Mercedes Benz is by far my favorite maker, and the dealerships are incredibly helpful. I have driven MB cars for 30 yrs with confidence. Mercedes is really great at checking for recalls when you call them, sometimes they have small fixes that makes a difference, such a seat adjustment to brake recall. Yes, dealerships for sprinter are sparse, but they’re always very helpful ..cheers to you and Camper.

Regarding maint., since off-roading is part of the adventure , checking the air and cabin filters more frequently like the fluids are par for the course. @17:24 Camper understood the assignment , clearing the trail of the annoying tree root ( LOL )
Your closing shots were awesome. I said once before I sold my camper and bought a boat, I love the coast so much. The only thing I miss is my furry boy, but seeing you with Camper prompts memories so it's all good.

But had relatives in Grants Pass which I absolutely loved being in and spending time there. Salem is superfine, Portland is a bit too much but it used to be lovely... just too many people now. This is also good advice for owners of vehicles with gasoline engines, to burn off carbon deposits that are on your spark plugs.
