One of my friends bought one and was so excited😊 about using it, she bought a second one.
I've seen lots of people doing that!! I could easily see us doing that too.
I love our freeze dryer so much! I named her Elsa! We have a mixed batch of leftovers in right now!
I use it to make diabetic friendly meals for my mom and mail them to her!
It really does change the game in preserving and saving food waste!
Thanks for sharing some info and what you have done so far!
I look forward to more videos!
MAILING FOOD! Why didn't I think about how easy that would make it?! Thanks for the idea!
Well, for the herbs I definitely need one. The fruit is an added bonus because those are delicious!
I didn't even mention preserving leftovers in there and making things like instant mashed potatoes in it! There is a chia pudding bar recipe I want to make soon!
@@SageandStoneHomestead ooooh, potato flakes, citric acid free!!
Right!
Freeze drying as a way of preserving foods at home is just amazing to me!!! I would love to have one!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us!!! Now I just have to convince my husband that we really, really need a freeze dryer!!😂 Have a great weekend and stay safe!!
That's the hard part! Lol! You stay safe as well, weather Sunday!
❤️🙏🏼❤️ stay safe today!
Praying YAH protects you and yours and those precious animals! ❤
Thank you!! Seems like the stuff comes for us a little later on.
@@SageandStoneHomestead ya Ryan comes in this evening and when I watched his video yesterday I thought of you guys! 💖 🙏🏼💖
Hey hey.. as I understand it.. pre-freezing helps reduce the overall freeze drying process…👍🏾 I really want one these👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
It's pretty cool! Pun intended haha!
Love the video. Very interesting. Thank you so much for sharing. Love and Blessings to you all.

Thanks for being here, Doris! ♥️
Ours hasn’t rested since we purchased it- can’t tell you how many eggs we’ve put away. Blueberries are the Shizzle😘
I will finally do the eggs next!!
Such a cool machine! The freeze dried candies are a wonderful treat.
For sure! So addicting!
This freezer thingy is AMAZING!
It is!! I need to set it up with milk today!!
Awesome video, love learning about your freeze dryer
Thanks for watching!
I love this shed! Way to go Levi!
The shed makes many more things possible for us than before!! I can't wait until we can build our house.
Excited to see all the things you freeze dry!
Me too! Hahah Thanks!! ♥♥
Very interesting. Thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!!
A freeze dryer, so fun!!
I have just started to think about one. So this fantastic that you are showing this.
Thanks!
You're so welcome!!! We love ours!
I want a freeze dryer so bad! I ALLLLLLLLLMOST have my husband convinced to let me make a down payment on one lol. He isn't entirely sold yet, but he might change his mind when my garden starts producing and there is produce everywhere lol.
That will be a good incentive!! 🤣🤣
Thanks for showing how easy it was to take it apart to clean. I definitely have thought about that too. Eventually I’ll pull the trigger and buy one I think. I just want to really make sure I’m going to use it.
Yes you have to use it for it to be worth it!
Yup…I got curious lol lol. I looked up “militorr”.
Additional units are used in different parts of the world to measure vacuum pressure. The most common are:
atm - standardized atmospheric pressure, 760 mmHg
PSI - pounds per square inch, absolute (PSIA) or gauge pressure (PSIG)
inHg - inches of mercury
mmHg - millimeters of mercury
Torr - almost but not exactly equal to millimeters of mercury
micron (mTorr) - a millitorr is 1000th of a Torr
kPa - kilopascals, newton-force per square meter
mbar - millibars, bar (kPa x 100) x 1000
Still confusing haha!!!
Thank You for a very well put together video on the Harvest Right freeze dryer. We just got ours today and your video was so informative. Best one we have come across yet. Thank You! You answered a lot of our questions!!!
Thank you so much!! I'm so glad this video was helpful! You'll love your freeze dryer! Enjoy it!!
Very thorough video, thank you Heather! I have seen this brand on several channels, and they alllllll love them. I love the idea of having one, as it can really do a lot of savings for both the quality of the food and also freezer electricity, so it'll be on my wishlist once I have my own place. Have you tried freeze drying any candy? I hear that's pretty fun and tasty.
Yes my favorite is freeze dried hi-chew!!
That's awesome the cost saving!
Yes!! ♥️
What a great video! Thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it! ♥
Thank you for being so clear with the process! I have a freeze dryer but still unsure of myself! I am in the process of doing herbs today.
Have fun!! 🎉
That looks so neat. I love freeze dried fruits. Not the biggest fan of freeze dried meat and veggies. I think; other than the expense and my age, I like how much dehydrated food shrinks down.
The shrinking of dehydrated food is a big benefit. Some things shrink down in the freeze dryer. Like our peas shrunk by more than half! The milk obviously takes up less space with the water out and I assume eggs will too. But a lot of things don't shrink!
@@SageandStoneHomestead So true. I think I was leaning more towards cooked meats veggies and fruits; the bananas are my favorite. Sadly, not in my budget. I do love watching people use them. 😍
Thank you, Heather! The whole freeze-drying adventure fascinates me. I just don't think I can swing the price. 😕 And then I'm fairly certain the wiring in my poor old farmhouse could never handle it!! 😂
I very much enjoyed this video & just need to wait & see when you begin marketing your freeze dried foods! Have you tried milk yet? God bless!
Yes it makes great freeze dried milk!
They do have a lay away program..I paid $250 down, then pay what I can each payday..they send after last payment. We'll have ours by Christmas!
@@MarciPrice-cl6eq awe...thank you for that! I'm excited for you! Just getting a freeze dryer isn't even half the battle. My home is well over 100 years old & the wiring is nearly that! Somehow the thought of my freeze dryer starting a fire seems to rule out the entire value of the whole idea! 😂🤣 For now anyway I'm just going to cheer you all on & enjoy the experience vicariously through all of you!! You GO preppers & God bless! 🙂
@@merryanneadair4451 our was built in 1939...we just had our rewind..but only 922 sq ft
I'd love to get a freeze dryer, but I'm sure I'd probably use it about as often as my dehydrator....not much!
It would take a while to seem worth it at that rate!!
Hello Heather, are ever going to sell freeze dried fruit?
YES I need to get things worked out with the state and the KY Cottage Law.
How is the texture of the fruit and veggies after it's been reconstituted?
It's like a previously frozen version!
1 Torr = 1 millimeter mercury. I had to Google it 😂
Still clear as mud LOL!!
Hi. Can you make salves and ointments out of freeze dried herbs please?
Yes you can!
I understand freeze dried herbs can last up to 25 years stored in mylar bags with oxygen obsorbers but how long will freeze dried herbs last in a glass twist top for use now rather than a stock pile supply
They say 18 months up to 5 years as long as they stay sealed.
I'm going to freeze fry some flat parsley, cilantro. And scallions. I've never done that before. So I dont have to change any settings on my harvest right?
No it will do it by itself!
Have you freeze dried raw meat?
Not yet!
Do you add an oxygen absorber to your mason jars?
Usually a desiccant pack instead
I am purchasing a freeze dryer and I am going through the link you provided and when I click the link it only opens the Harvest Right website is that how it works? I want to make sure the credits go to your affiliate link? Also it opens up to a particular size do I need to only purchase the size you purchased for you to get the credit? Thanks in advance God Bless
Yes! If you use the link it will credit me, thank you so much!! You will love it!!
You can purchase whatever you like and I'll get credit. You don't even have to get a freeze dryer but if you needed extra trays or whatever it would also give affiliate credit for that :) I appreciate you!
@@SageandStoneHomestead I am trying to cash out and it is giving me trouble not wanting to pull up my keyboard to put in the verification code going through RUclips for some reason. I am going to do everything in my power to do it through your link but its very frustrating that it’s not working properly but I am going to call Quinton and place the order and I will give him the name of your channel to make sure you get the credits SOMEHOW!!! Thanks for this information.
