  • Little by little, we're getting things started, albeit early. If we have a hurricane, these will all need to come inside for protection!

Plant good quality seeds and gardening is a very hard work. You are hardworking and doing a great job. I really liked the report on your plant.😊

I’m going to try growing tomatoes from seeds this year. Normally I buy my tomato seedlings from Grace’s Garden Center in Tampa. I’m hoping it will be a success. 🍅Enjoyed your video. 💚💚

My onion seeds have germinated as well & looking great so far; even leeks & shallots which I didn’t would germinate as the seeds are from 2022 are doing quite well. Super excited 😃

@jaxveggiepatch That's great. What variety of the leeks and shallots did you pick? These shallots are from 2023.

@@SouthernLatitudesFL American flag & Zebrune. Leeks are 2021 & shallots 2022. Both purchased from MIgardener. Did not expect either to germinate just wanted to get rid of them. Optimistic to get a harvest 😃

Do you have a video on what you do about pests? I planted zinnias, sunflowers and nasturtium seeds in the ground in my zone 10a Tampa Bay Area garden and either the birds, squirrels or something got them all. I’m new at this and not ready to give up although I have a lot to learn. Thanks.

@user-gh8sl7iu3y I don't have any pest pressure on zinnias or Nasturtiums. Squirrels do like my sunflowers seeds, so those get started in trays and transplanted out. Sunflowers do love direct sowing but I don't risk it. I don't have a pest video but that is a good idea.
