Much like nachos out of the microwave, this film is quick, simple, and a little too cheesy, but also enjoyable and without regrets. It made me think about my family relationships and what I'm doing to strengthen them. It also painted small town Louisiana in a very beautiful picture and that was nice to see.
Just what would a doctor prescribe: a sweet, sweet family story with lots of good country music. Movie left me feeling warm, happy...great The one you just enjoy the feeling after without any urge to analyse anything. Warm recomendation.

I don't understand why they completely changed the movie to not tell the original book. First of all Liam comes back for a friend's funeral and runs into a little BOY looking at football trophies. Secondly Liam is not a country music singer in the book, he is in a rock band. I was initially excited to hear this book was made into a movie. Now I'm not sure I'll even go see it. They've changed the whole premise of the book. Also this is the first book in a series, there is even a second generation of books about the children of the band members. I have no idea why the author rewrite her entire book.
