This right here is proof that discipline is love and not disciplining is hate. When the parent cares enough to discipline it makes the child feel secure.

Being a single parent is NO EXCUSE. I became a widowed mum of 4 (10/8/6 and 6 months) at 29. I had no support at all from family or friends. But i pushed on,put my needs aside. And i now have 28/26/24 and 15. They've turned out to be great kids/adults. Am i exhausted some days/lonely..yes. But my hard work and dedication paid off. Persistence/structure/love and clear boundaries are the key
Gotta add this too, extracurricular activities are great for kids. And establishes a sense of community, and rules 😊😊

Hearing the young girl say…”I’ve sort of had to put my life on hold”. That’s called being a Mama Sweetie! And I’d be more appalled at how this 4 and 5 yr old act mom like 1 and 2 yr olds. In addition to how they have totally DESTROYED THE ENTIRE HOME. When She said she just “couldn’t be bothered” to discipline the kids because she had things to do. I mean these statements alone are EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE KIDS! This Mom is not only immature, but childish and selfish. She is the problem!

Are parents and grandparents actually this bad or are they engaged in bad acting in front of the cameras to make Jo Frost look good? Who parents without a plan to hit developmental milestones? It is crazy for 4 and a 5 year-olds to be untamed during their second year of life so they are in a continuous state of tantrum-throwing violent behavior. This woman should not have custody of her kids, if she cannot do the job properly. Sickening laziness and favoritism.

@sourcherryprincess because they lacked consistency in the first place. It's easier to give in, than firmly, lovingly stand your ground, which takes tons of energy. Some parents are just plumb too lazy to continue the effort. Payment for that comes when these kids are teens and young adults. I wouldn't want even one of those parents come whining to me now. I was widowed with 3. Feeling bad and trying.to compensate by spoiling the children is a huge mistake. Kids want normalcy. The same rules applied even after Dad died, yes healing when needed, but we had to move forward ad a unit, the children and I. Everyone played a role, everyone had a job, everyone counted

The little boy Callum ended up stabbing someone when he grew up! Sophie obviously had her problems too, she got excluded from school a few years after this was filmed. I got this information from the Supernanny wiki and while there’s not much information on what happened to Sophie, I can still see that she was no angel. However, I definitely think that Callum grew up to be much worse though considering he committed a violent crime.

A Barbie styling head was seen outside the house.
When Kelly used Toy Confiscation on Sophie, a doll of Boo from Monsters Inc. can be seen.
A Nickelodeon broadcast can be seen as Callum & Sophie were watching TV when Sophie was disrespecting Kelly over Toy Confiscation and when Callum was punching Kelly in the beginning. Sophie also appears to be watching the now defunct Fox Kids. Because of this, it can easily be assumed the family had Sky.
Several Disney Princess Dolls can be seen on the couch as Sophie & Callum were limited to 10 toys.
In the scene where Kelly tries to put the kids to bed she mentions the BBC soap opera Eastenders and when she mentioned It was finished the theme tune can be heard faintly In the background.

I’m not one to call dogs “fur babies,” or to think children ought to be treated like dogs, but I gotta say…there are substantial parallels between teaching a dog good behavior, and teaching a child under 3 good behavior. Its almost comical how similar the approaches are 😂

The Mom did not stick with it and did not have discipline and let them think they ran the world and what they did, did not matter and now he assaulted somebody. That doesn’t mean his responsibility is taken away, but if you have kids, you have to take responsibility for teaching them what is right and wrong she did not do her job. Because of her kids are willing to assault her and her mom, why is it a shock that they are willing to assault other people. I know that I would never even say a bad word to my mom or my dad. I was raised with rules. These parents that ask for help and then don’t follow through make me crazy.

Kelly got remarried and had 4 more children; Ben, Aaron, Frankie and Stanley. Making her a mum to 6 kids.
Sophie was excluded from school in April 2012 for unknown reasons according to Kelly. It's unknown If Sophie's behaviour did actually change 7 and a half years after the episode's original airing, or if her behaviour was instigated by the producers, like in The Young Family (U.K.).
In July 2023, Callum was sentenced to 8 years in prison for the unprovoked stabbing of a 31 year old man. The man, who received severe damage to his neck, survived the attack. Callum is now the second Supernanny child to go to prison, the first was Jacob from The Young Family (U.K.).

The fact that Joe had to implement a crisis handling because the mom wasn’t helping, makes it no surprise that Callum was arrested for assaulting someone. It’s really sad that parents don’t realize that their job is to teach their kids to respect other people and they can’t just hit and hurt anyone they want to. The fact that they think they’re being mean is shocking and makes it no surprise when their kid is arrested for assault.

Don't have kids if u can't deal with them. The mother of the girl I nanny needs to do this with her toys. She is 7 in a weeks and throws her toys around. She is spoilt though, her mum needs to be tougher on her. She comes to my house each day after school, so I can't say much about that , but at my house there are rules : Clean up after we do art or a game, say please and thank u, take your plate to the sink. She does'nt like being told, but I know kids and they need discpline .

And isn't it funny that while at your house she minds, but at home she's a complete terror? Children need and want boundaries. And they will rise to the standard set by the adults around them. This is why many kids go to school and are "angels" but then act like Satan at home. When an adult says, no, I'm in charge and you'll do as I say, they do! When an adult is a mealy mouth, wishy washy authority figure, they'll walk right over them.

It is very sad that this one of Jo’s failed families. (Not Jo’s fault but the mother’s for not doing the techniques properly.) Even though Callum’s behaviour improved drastically in this episode, it didn’t last long since he got arrested for stabbing someone last year. Ironically Sophie may have turned out better although there’s not much info on her other than she got expelled from school in 2012.

The fact that they filmed and put out content of the children in their underwear, in the bath, in a towel with little coverage, and a clip of the little girl naked with no blurring at all, them in suggestive positions (like crotch shots) is absolutely disgusting. My eyes were opened to the exploitation and gross things that are done with family vlogging channels, and this is no different. It's almost worse. People like plutos (can't use the word without getting flagged) use family vlogging channels, parenting videos, and shows like this for their sick versions of pleasure. Its nasty. PLEASE TAKE CLIPS LIKE THAT OUT!! I know it was a different time when this show was being filmed, but that doesn't mean the I can't blur or remove clips that could be potentially suggestive or exploitative. It wasn't okay then and it's not okay now. It's exploitation and it should honestly be removed altogether. These children had their lives shown on national TV (and now RUclips) for entertainment and education, but they still deserve their privacy. Especially their bodies. Do the right thing and blur or black out what needs to be covered. You can still use the content but it allows these children (some of who are now teenagers and adults) their right to their privacy.

Well, the answer isn’t to not have kids. The answer is to have rules and explain them to the kids so they know what is expected. Because if they know what is expected in the home, then they will know what is expected in society, neither one of my kids had any problem with it. We had rules and my oldest is 25 and even through her teenage years, she never stormed off and never slammed her door or stomped away. it was easy as pie because she knew the rules and I loved them and supported them and spent time with them and did everything. Joe says but I also made sure they understood what was expected of them as adults because that’s my job. These parents who let their kids get away with everything and then they’re going to be good. Adults is shocking because it is our job to teach them that the world is not revolve around them and they have rules they have to follow. It’s parents job to get them ready for the real world and so many parents don’t think about that. They think about what will make them look good to their kids when they’re at home and they don’t realize that it’s their job to teach them how to follow rules because in the real world,it doesn’t revolve around them
