This is an excellent video but I'm confused. At the 17:21 mark, he drills out a hole but at the 17:51 mark he's back to a lid that only has one hole in the middle? Not sure what is happening here. Also, I don't see the link for the instructions. One more suggestion: show us what happens when you put some dirty water in it, heat it over a wood fire, show what kind of water is put in the white bucket to cool things and then show the final result of clean water that it produces.
@kellysmithmarketing Thank you for watching! If you remember in the beginning that there were two types of Prestos? We made two distillers and the video was a combination of both builds - that is why you see both types of lids. The instructions for the water distiller build is on Olivia's Facebook site mention in the description - TFY - Think For Yourself facebook.com/groups/513277036546182
@@getawaywoods an ever growing number of people no longer use facebook or twit/x or any of that nonsense - is there another way to see the instructions - maybe I'll just wing it, that usually works ;)
I’ve watched this several times and finally decided that you used two different canner lids! One that was drilled off center and then one that was drilled in the center. What is the preferred way? It’s a bit confusing.
Content starts at 7:50
Great video. Question...If,THE copper rubbing has to be cool, then why not just leave it expose to the air since it will be cooler.

A brass float valve on the side towards the top will assure constant water without having to constantly fill it with water.
