Hope you enjoy the video & a huge thanks for watching. I always love visiting Inverness and I hope it inspires you to visit too :-) Remember to support as many of the independent businesses as you can while you're there. If you'd like to book a tour with me of Edinburgh or Glasgow please check out my tours on Viator, or on my website - www.adventuresinscotland.uk Thanks for watching and I'll be back soon with another video 🙂 Best wishes, David
Just been at Inverness 6 weeks ago. We really felt in love with this town! Highly reconment the botanic gardens! Great place and you could pick up some fresh fruits an vegs from the "Grown " gardenig projekt !
Thanks so much Mike, really appreciate you watching and your very kind comments. It’s a wonderful city 😀 Hope you have a lovely week. Warmest best wishes & thanks, David
Incredible how much Inverness has changed since my last trip to Scotland in 1983! 18:37 I remember the stunning beauty of the city when I first arrived. The old church clock tower is in one of my photos I took during my stay. I also vividly remember several spey fisherman fishing under the main bridge through town. 18:37 Thank you for the tour David. Inverness will be on our itinerary when we come visit.
Hi Mara, really glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching. Yes, the city has changed over the years and I really enjoyed my visit. It was great visiting all these places again and I'm sure you'll really enjoy visiting again. Have a lovely weekend, all the best, David :-)
Thanks so much Shellie, deeply appreciate you watching and your really kind words. RUclips is quite a struggle these days, so I really appreciate you watching. Warmest best wishes, David :-)
Your videos are so lovely. I think you must be a professional photographer. My family roots are Scottish and we have our history traced back to 1692. I have never been and my health may not allow me to ever go so I deeply enjoy your videos. Just wonderful and breathtaking at times. Thank you for sharing these with us. Julie in San Jose California
Hi Julie, thanks so much for watching and your really kind words, which I deeply appreciate :-) I put such a lot of time and effort into the videos and it really gives me a huge boost when people say they enjoy them. I really love videography, although portrait photography is dear to my heart too. That's wonderful that you've been able to trace your Scottish ancestry all the way back to 1692. It's always exciting researching family trees. I really hope you enjoy the rest of my videos. I must admit I'm finding it hard to get the time to film, but it's something I love doing and hopefully you'll enjoy the videos coming up soon. I really hope that one day you can come and visit and I'd be delighted to share with you some great places to visit here in Edinburgh. Warmest best wishes from Edinburgh, David :-)
Another great day!!! People will think Scotland is always sunny.😂 It’s so beautiful at night. The bridge lights. The cathedral cafe was so cool. Leaky’s is still open. Love that place. They roll on sausage was huge!!! Great video. Made me want to visit again.👍
Gorgeous. Thank you creating this video. My husband and I are visiting in January (for his birthday) with the view to move to the city in the future. I know the weather, and day light, will be vastly different during our stay but your content assures me that we won’t be bored once
Hi Scott, so glad you enjoyed the video. It's a great city and I'm sure you'll enjoy your visit. If you decide to move, I'm sure you'll love it, but I would definitely recommend visiting a few times before moving, especially in the winter. The short days and changeable weather are something you need to experience to make sure it doesn't bother you. Thanks again for watching, best wishes, David :-)
awww.. that's wonderful Harry - so glad you enjoyed your stay in Arisaig - it's a lovely village and the beaches are wonderful. Thanks so much for watching and have a lovely weekend. All the best, David :-)

Hello! Inverness deserves a video so beautiful like this one♥️ I spent 3 days of the last July there and we LOVED it so much.. The river, the people, the all atmosphere, the arquitecture.. Everything went well 🙏 I hope to come back to Scotland soon an, of course, to inverness to visit the castle. Thanks for the lovely time!
Thank you very much Carla, I'm so glad you liked it. It's a lovely city and I'm actually visiting again this month to explore & film a few more places. Thanks so much for subscribing and following the channel - it's hugely appreciated. Warmest best wishes & thanks, David :-)
Such a lovely vid. It’s been quite a while since I last was there. Glad to see Leakey’s are still doing well, spent many a happy hour browsing their shelves. Hope you are happy and well. Keep safe. C
Thanks so much Clive, really glad you liked it and a huge thanks as always for watching. I really enjoyed catching up with all these great places in Inverness, I had a brilliant time. Managed to find a couple of good books on Scotland in Leakey's which was great and I was is happy to see the lovely Red Squirrel at Tomnahurich Hill, which is a really beautiful & serene place. Hope you're doing ok and thanks again for all your kindness and support, it really means a lot. Warmest best wishes, David :-)
Thanks - that's really kind of you and much appreciated. I'm heading back in a few weeks and hope to be able to share & film a few more gems from around the city. Thanks so much for watching. Warmest best wishes, David :-)
Hi Smitty, thanks so much for watching, I'm so glad you enjoyed it and you liked the music. I always enjoy visiting Inverness. I was taking my mum to the Northern Meeting as well as filming and the city was alive with the sound of bagpipes - which was just wonderful. Hope you have a lovely week and thanks again for your very kind comments which are much appreciated. All the best, David :-)
Great video David! Full of really useful information and some beautiful shots. Inverness is the one city in Scotland that I am least familiar with, so I will be sure to use your tips the next time I visit. Very well done on another great video. I hope you're doing well 🙂
Thanks Richard, really appreciate it. I almost wasn't going to film this as I had my mum with me and I was quite worried about leaving her at times, but I'm glad I did, as all went well and it was wonderful to explore the city again. Thanks for watching and catch up with you soon :-)
Thanks so much Geo, that's really kind of you and much appreciated. I wasn't sure I'd have time to make this video, but I'm really glad I did :-) It was great fun and I really do love the city, although I'm very well aware there are problems and I really wanted to give Mikey's Line a shout out at the end which does incredible work. Thanks so much for watching and your support. Warmest best wishes, David :-)
Gorgeous -- been to Scotland many times but never made it to Inverness. I see what I've been missing...Any chance you could list the music credits? Slàinte!
Thanks Jeffrey, really appreciate you watching and I’m so glad you enjoyed it. It’s one of my favourite cities. I’ll check the music for you. It should be at the foot of the description. Best wishes & thanks, David 😀
The two suspension bridges featured at no.1 have very low natural frequencies. Having crossed both when empty of others you can make them swing side to side, or cause a ripple, up down, by hitting the right natural pace frequency. Across from Fort George is Fortrose. At the lighthouse is where the creatures of the sea can be observed at tide changes. Also the seaside to the east there is evidence in the land of the great tsunami from the Norway Sea which struck this coast from about 6000 years ago ( ocean sands and sediments of streamlined shapes from the flow inland and the back wash)
Hi Brian, thanks so much for all this wonderful information. It’s always great to hear new, interesting facts about all the places I know. Warmest best wishes & thanks, David 🙂
Thanks so much viceieva, really appreciate you watching and your kind words. It's a great city and I love it more & more. I've been visiting for over 35 years and it always surprises me with new gems & places to visit. Thanks again for watching. I hope to do the Aberdeen guide soon in the next couple of months. Warmest best wishes, David :-)
