I’m so happy I found this video! I’m visiting this summer (2025) and after watching this, I’m about to burst with excitement! Thank u so much for sharing the beauty of this lovely city!

This video was beautifully shot. I really appreciated that you used music and took the time to let us read some of the historical facts ourselves instead of talking the whole time. It made the video very peaceful and has made me think about watching more history videos before I go. It’s also made me start wondering if I can extend my stay a few more days to have time to really appreciate both Scotland’s natural beauty and architecture!

Your videos are so lovely. I think you must be a professional photographer. My family roots are Scottish and we have our history traced back to 1692. I have never been and my health may not allow me to ever go so I deeply enjoy your videos. Just wonderful and breathtaking at times. Thank you for sharing these with us. Julie in San Jose California

Hi Julie, thanks so much for watching and your really kind words, which I deeply appreciate :-) I put such a lot of time and effort into the videos and it really gives me a huge boost when people say they enjoy them. I really love videography, although portrait photography is dear to my heart too. That's wonderful that you've been able to trace your Scottish ancestry all the way back to 1692. It's always exciting researching family trees. I really hope you enjoy the rest of my videos. I must admit I'm finding it hard to get the time to film, but it's something I love doing and hopefully you'll enjoy the videos coming up soon. I really hope that one day you can come and visit and I'd be delighted to share with you some great places to visit here in Edinburgh. Warmest best wishes from Edinburgh, David :-)

Incredible how much Inverness has changed since my last trip to Scotland in 1983! 18:37 I remember the stunning beauty of the city when I first arrived. The old church clock tower is in one of my photos I took during my stay. I also vividly remember several spey fisherman fishing under the main bridge through town. 18:37
Thank you for the tour David. Inverness will be on our itinerary when we come visit.

@DavidWheaterScotland - You are welcome David.
Yes the city needs a big injection of cash to improve city centre and have more shops for locals, however the castle refurbishment is almost done and that will add to the visitor experience.
Just needs more done in and around the centre but as you say lots of places have the same issues!
I am biased but I still prefer living up here.
If you are ever up again and haven't already try the Mustard Seed, Glenmoriston, Cafe 1, No27, Urquharts or Rocpool for food. All good 👍

@@paulchisholm3305 Thanks Paul for the recommendations. I actually filmed a cafe video last year when I took my mum to the Piping Championships, but I never got round to posting it! I'm very excited to see the castle refurbishment, it should be a great boost to the city and hopefully the museum too, which is excellent. Thanks again for taking the time to watch & comment. It's much appreciated. Have a lovely week, David 🙂

Gorgeous. Thank you creating this video. My husband and I are visiting in January (for his birthday) with the view to move to the city in the future. I know the weather, and day light, will be vastly different during our stay but your content assures me that we won’t be bored once

Hi Scott, so glad you enjoyed the video. It's a great city and I'm sure you'll enjoy your visit. If you decide to move, I'm sure you'll love it, but I would definitely recommend visiting a few times before moving, especially in the winter. The short days and changeable weather are something you need to experience to make sure it doesn't bother you. Thanks again for watching, best wishes, David :-)

The two suspension bridges featured at no.1 have very low natural frequencies. Having crossed both when empty of others you can make them swing side to side, or cause a ripple, up down, by hitting the right natural pace frequency. Across from Fort George is Fortrose. At the lighthouse is where the creatures of the sea can be observed at tide changes. Also the seaside to the east there is evidence in the land of the great tsunami from the Norway Sea which struck this coast from about 6000 years ago ( ocean sands and sediments of streamlined shapes from the flow inland and the back wash)
