I own the SV20H - works amazingly with the Fryette PowerStation. IVE ONLY just 1 year on found the (nearly) perfect setting for my Hendrix tone guitar playing. Dialling in the right tone takes time with this amp!
This amp with 2x12 greenbacks = vintage plexi tone - I love it!
The Fryette allows me to play this at bedroom / TV volume. You must pair it with a reactive load attenuator for low volume at home playing.
For live playing a Harley Benton attenuator may just do the trick- its gotta be played loud to sound good with cheaper attenuators (ironically) - shouldn't annoy your band too much.

I JUST sold mine last week. I had put a host of Mullards into it and had it like that for the last nearly 4 years, and it was going through a cab with 55hz greenbacks... was Glorious. That said, I HAD to run it only with a Freyette Power Station. even at 5watt is is TOO loud at home to crank. With the Power Station 100% cranked ALL THE TIME. I ONLY sold it to get an amplified nation... but I am already missing that Plexi sound.
The downside with the SV20H was no master volume...
i will say that when I took the Mullards out to revert to stock tubes... man what a difference. Mullards ALL THE WAY

Hate to hear your missing it but, sometimes gear has to leave to let other gear in. Mullards would make a huge difference and those 55hz greenbacks didn’t hurt either! I’m sure you enjoying the Amplified Nation.
Thanks for adding your personal experience Scott!

don't know about other guys, but this is a perfect plexi, yes I use HB attenuator but the sound is like a million bucks... i use a single marshall cab with vintage g12-t75 uk made celsetion and it's perfect.... of course I play hair metal and shred, and some smooth jazz.

Glad you found an amp that you connect with. When you say you use a HB attenuator are you talking about the Harley Benton attenuator? Just curious because we have heard good things about it. Thanks for adding to the conversations Scott!

Friedman amps have wayyyy more note clarity WHILE cutting through all that gain… but I get what you’re saying. Jubilee would be the best route because of the clean channel.

I have the SV20 and SC20, and I’ve played the Jubilee. The SC20 doesn’t break up until about 3 or 4 on the volume knob, and by that point you’re twice as loud as your Deluxe which I also own so can speak about with credibility. These mini Marshalls are LOUD!

Good to hear a personal account of these amps! Thanks for the info.

The dude can still use his Tweed deluxe on stage, why not just get something like a two notes torpedo captor x? If all his bandmates are going direct?

The Two Notes is a great call. He has considered it along with an OX Box. Time will tell what he settles with. Im sure we will be making further episodes talking about it.

Get yourself something that’s actually wired on a strip board. It’s 60-70’s Blackface and Silverface Fenders for me!

We love us some vintage Fenders and have some but these Marshalls look pretty awesome too!
