Great video and downtown Hartford looks great! Too bad Goodwin Square always gets hidden by City Place. People dont realize how tall that building really is.
A beautiful day and nice approach over Hartford toward BDL. Downtown Hartford looks a little different now (2021) with Dunkin Donuts Park now very much open; it's under construction in this video. Also, at 04:30 it appears the old Terminal B at BDL is still existent, it would be gone by the end of 2015 after last being used around 2010. BDL is a great airport with cheap parking and decent facilities for its size...what it really lacks is any sort of good public transportation options. I guess it's just not big enough(?) There is a train station in Windsor Locks about 3 miles away, with limited CTRail and Amtrak services (I made the mistake of walking from there once) but no easy way to get there besides a taxi or Uber.
I am always surprised at how green and forested that area around the airport still is after all of these years. It's too bad that transcontinental flights from the west coast went out of style decades ago. Having to connect to BDL from airports in the midwest often makes for a very long day of travel.
Nice seeing my hometown airport. I will hopefully be landing there again this summer! I'm from MA, but prefer Bradley to Logan, even though Logan is beautiful.. Bradley is closer, a bit smaller and easier to get around in.
We are trying to bring back the Hartford Whalers!! This city was amazing especially in Spring during the Stanley Cup playoffs... just aint the same. We rivaled Boston New York Montreal even Buffalo
In the event of a water landing, passengers are required to travel along a slippery wing to get into a life raft. These rings are for ropes to help passengers climb down without slipping.
@@johnp9761 a smooth ride indeed nevertheless I don't think Tweed airport flies those planes but do you know the address of Bradley International Airport
Movie Watcher 123 ah, Tweed is in New Haven. I don't think the big airliners fly there. You can always make the drive to Schoephoester Rd, Windsor Locks, CT 06096. It's the 2nd busiest airport in New England
Nice view of my hometown Hartford at the beginning.
If you looked down ( like directly down from your window ) you could see Pratt and Whitney's old factory. (now its their HQ)
Flight is beautiful, especially on a clear sunny day!
That's a great view of Hartford on the approach!
I live in ct and I like air liners a lot

Lots to do. Casinos many, beautiful state parks and beaches. Take your pick.
BDL is our main airport!
Same
Only option
That plane came in hot.
Who else got recommended this 8 years later
Were the arrows pointing on the freeway for the party picking you up when this film was being shot?
Let’s see Suffield
Anyone know what those two ringlets are for? They are on the wing just before the center.

Thats where the flaps come into play!
HDAviation NE about how many passengers can a A320 plane can carry any idea?
Movie Watcher 123 typically about from 150-180 passengers, depending on the airline
@@johnp9761 perhaps you're right maybe I should see for myself someday you know when I get a chance
Movie Watcher 123 yeah, it's definitely a smooth ride
