Oooh ,Greece. Interesting that they picked such a Mediterranean climate/area for the game. Greece is quite a mountainous country and that may be why they picked it as a challenge. Great video btw👌
Thanks for watching! Yeah Greece has some very challenging roads which is nice, I just wish there were more country roads instead of the majority being highways.
As a player who likes challenging docking, I absolutely recommend the DLC for the Artemis hotels Bus as I have passed my licence IRL, I don't like driving in ETS anymore
I have passed through the dam area countless times. Its honestly incredibly accurate and although i never seen a truck go through the twisty section, the busses ive see look incredible when taking those turns. The only unrealistic thing is that the road on the dam is one way only , with traffic lights at each end of it regulating when each direction will pass.
You should use the hazard lights on problematic corners, put them on before the corner, and the trafic keeps away from you. SCS is busy with a hybrid version of dx11 and dx12, so I hope it will be beter, I have little stutters in this version, sometimes, and I use a lot of mods, but you are using not only eets2 but also OBS and what ever you are using, and that uses cpu power too. Great DLC Grease, small roads, I love it, you have to use the mirrors a lot ;>)
6:42 If you press F to use your hazard lights ai cars will actually give you more space to move around 14:52 Depends on the construction zone. Some are random while a few are fixed ( usually ones that involve traffic lights are always there I think ) Yet another thing: Have the dev console option in the gamelog turned on seemed to lag the game for me a bit more. Maybe that's the issue
Absolutely. Although France is alright with the DLC. They even updated a bit of the old part of map, although Calais and the Eurotunnel area look absolutely awful still.
i got this map and yes im happy with it, i think they said they working on the engine of the game and but its gonna take them a long time to do that. i just hope they gonna do that as fast as they can.
I have to say you're correct in my opinion... Kind of, When you get on the long highway from Duisburg To Calais And then you take the exit halfway through towards Brussels. That highway feels like it takes forever. (Keep making these good videos)
All ETS2 and ATS maps are an no brainer, also yeah even on my system I get little stutters once in a while when it's loading in scenery pieces I think. I tend to limit to 60fps as it seems to help a little, that's on an 13900k, 64gb ram and 4090FE, 4tb 7gb/s m.2 drives.
Yeah if you running max 400% graphic scaling you'll get stutter no matter what. I'm using 150% and no stutter. Intel 13th gen, 16GB RAM and 4070GTX, standard 2TB NVMe. I locked the FPS to 100fps to match my monitor.
12:12 its a photo point rather than a view point meaning you take a picture rather than watch the cutscene. There is probably ana achievement associated with it or something.
I have to say I am a bit disappointed that almost no islands were included in the DLC, I was really hoping we would get a few more. That said, everything looks great, very close to life and is interesting to drive as many of the Greek roads are super tight. Just wish we had a bit more of it.
There are 5 islands in the DLC. I think if they included the tiny Greek islands there wouldn't be much space for roads and industries. ETS2 is on a 1 to 20 scale so the Greek islands would be just a 1km straight road at most, like the Isle of Man in the ETS2 ProMod map
I have an older Ryzen 3 and only have issues in the newer map areas. For some reason my performance is much better on the default DirectX9 version instead of 11 or OpenGL.
Greece is half the size of the uk but the uk is like 4 countries combined Greece has a land mass which is almost the same as England but if you also add the territorial waters of Greece then Greece is like double the size of England 131.000km2 land mass of Greece waters are like another 124.000km2 so like total area is more 250.000 km2 England is like 132.000km2
@GeorgeAvg-RB26 True but Greece is much more mountainous than England, the only two flat areas are the Thessalian plain (our breadbasket), and the small plains in Attica (the region around Athens), and river Struma (the plain around Thessaloniki), hence the low population density
This video does include some mods but because this is a review of the DLC I wanted the game to look as vanilla as possible without losing the benefit of the most important mods.
@@SimulatorAdventures I see, thank you for explaining it. Also i have started watching you a few months ago since one of the beamng videos you have posted, it is very cool
i don't have high stutters except for entrance / exit ramps by the highways and just the once for a second although i didn't play this dlc yet but i bought all the others and the same non-stuttering applies to American Truck Simulator as well ... i have an old i7 and a 1070ti gpu ... i used to get stuttering when i only had 8gb of ram many years ago until i bought more RAM ... 12gb was okay
It's definitely a CPU thing and older CPUs probably work better because some are designed more for single core operation rather than relying on multi-core optimisation
@SimulatorAdventures I do have BeamNG also and I was thinking maybe getting Wrench game. Still thinking about it but I feel like I leg the best experience in ets2 with VR rather than buying 3 monitors
@@TheStigsSimcousin totally worth it, got a 3070 with quest3 and play on Truckesmp with vorpx with no issues, some lag here and there but overall great performance
I purchased this map, to support the he Devs, in all honesty, I don’t like it, I know this island well, and lots are missing, I’ve moved out of it, left my ai drivers there, I’ve returned to Spain. That’s my opinion, and I’ll always support the devs.
I'm waiting for the next generation of CPUs to drop to upgrade. That would be a downgrade for my current 5900x except in a handful of situations and games
@jolanvreys2224 absolutely, it's called in this case a simulator with real life sceneries to explore. This is not Greece, this is a cut out map that includes graphical objects reminding Greece. See FS2020/2024 for example.
@@entangled31415 you too, cuz you expect the devs to create a 1 to 1 map scale that is obviously imossible, the devs are working their ass off and you're complaining about the map being too small...

They are going to do every country that's why
I wasn't planning on buying the Greece DLC, but I'm glad I did. It honestly is by far my favourite DLC so far.
Actually I'm from Greece and the places that it features are like real life.

The hotel parking challenge is pretty difficult, absolutely love that they added it for the challenge!

Agreed. That dam is kind of weird, but it does look really good!

The game should work way smoother for the graphics it delivers. SCS definitely need to focus on optimization.
1:26 small mistake you made, but ETS2's map is 1:19 scale. ATS's map is 1:20 scale.

Totally worth a buy plays really good not a single problem with performance
Best map you can buy you guys wont regret it

Yeah I use TrackIR

There are a few 1:1 maps out there but not all of them are very detailed. Grand Utopia is definitely the best 1:1 scale map, but its fictional.
