Oh my God, guys, Octavia got Roofied! Her friends need to be better! At least Vinyl was with her the whole time, I guess. My friends told me not to accept drinks from anyone and not to leave my drink alone. I'm glad I had friends who paid attention to that sort of thing. We all watched out for each other when we went to bars. I always thought the way the Earth ponies, Octavia in particular, had to hold their instruments looked incredibly uncomfortable at best and terribly painful at worst. The strings probably contort her limbs to past what they're supposed to be like. It's harder for Earth ponies to play instruments without magic. That makes me afraid that the Octavia in the show is like the Octavia in this story.

I cannot express how much I love this fic, and how much more I love this reading, Scribbler. I find myself coming back to listen to this video while I'm just idling about at least once or twice a month. When I finish this one, I move on to the others. I remember hearing about this story years ago, and while it did intrigue me I never thought much of it. Then, I got really curious about it all of a sudden back in 2020, and I decided to give it a listen. This is literally one of the best grimdarks I've ever discovered. This narration is fantastic. I may be late to this, but I enjoy it all the same. Thus, I have returned for another listen. :)

It seems that her parents have a similar mindset as the ponies that lived before equestria. When the tribes were bitter to each other, and brought about the magical blizzard of the Wendigos which forced them to seek out new land. [And in a grimdark fiction, created the Candymare that tormented pony kind until the rise of the sisters. This was thanks to a twisted candy maker in the Unicorn's castle city]
This is amazing......I have to see the next ones, but this.....even if the others are bad....THIS is amazing, the Story, the voice, the nuance....I am lost in the complexity and music, this has taken me and I do not regret it.

I remember hearing about this story years ago, and while it did intrigue me I never thought much of it. Then, I got really curious about it all of a sudden back in 2020, and I decided to give it a listen.
This is literally one of the best grimdarks I've ever discovered. This narration is fantastic. I may be late to this, but I enjoy it all the same. Thus, I have returned for another listen. :)

I can't praise you enough.It would boarder on boot licking. We don't mind listening over and over again. It is dark. and your not a fan of dark. but it is real. visceral. full of feeling. Love and tragedy. Like a great opera. That's what I suppose I love most. It's an opera of a very hurt being. It ends in tragedy as all operas must. as life must. It is as beautiful as it is sad.
An opera is magnificent because it reminds the masses that life could hurt a lot more. That it's not so bad to live. That we should be happy even if we don't like our starting and end.

Scribbler, I don't normally comment on (A). Videos this old. (B). Readings. But I just want to tell you how awesome you are at doing these, your voice is amazing beyond belief and you're my inspiration for not only writing (Even if they might be small stories on notepad about watermelons) But to also attempt readings. (Even though I suck) I hope you keep doing what you do, and don't just do it to make everyone happy, do it to make yourself happy. I've been watching/listening to your videos for a long time now, and I just want to say how awesome you are. Anyway, I hate to ramble and such but I hope you get through any tough times ya have. (I understand you've had a few, even though I vaguely know what those times were)
The beginning scares me about the end of this fic. I want Vinyl to save her but since its a darkfic/sadfic my hope is dwindling... This was such a good reading I sent it to all my friends and they want the second part so hopefully you post it soon! Poor Octavia.
It seems that her parents have a similar mindset as the ponies that lived before equestria. When the tribes were bitter to each other, and brought about the magical blizzard of the Wendigos which forced them to seek out new land. [And in a grimdark fiction, created the Candymare that tormented pony kind until the rise of the sisters. This was thanks to a twisted candy maker in the Unicorn's castle city]
This is amazing......I have to see the next ones, but this.....even if the others are bad....THIS is amazing, the Story, the voice, the nuance....I am lost in the complexity and music, this has taken me and I do not regret it.
