- Rob Zombie's song "Blitzkrieg Bop," from his album "Past, Present & Future."
More from Rob Zombie: • The Rob Zombie Collection
"Blitzkrieg Bop" by Rob Zombie is a punk song that pumps up your energy with its fast beats and rebellious attitude. The song keeps repeating "Hey, ho, let's go," like it's telling everyone to get moving and join the fun. With loud guitars and drums, the song makes you feel like you're part of a rebellious group. It talks about standing up straight and pushing through the tough times, which is what punk is all about. When it says kids are "losing their minds," it means they're going wild with excitement.

no matter how the years passed in Joey, he always looks like a punk rocker teenager
bad ass song
Rob Zombie re-creates one of americas favorite song just... more violent...
for people who are upset this doesnt sound like the original " One of the last things Johnny Ramone did was oversee the album. He told all the chosen bands to do a version totally unlike the Ramones originals".. you fail. it's brilliant
Too right. I heard he actually requested that the bands should play those covers as if they were their own songs. Sounds true when you listen to the album, and this here is as "zombie" as it gets.
correctamundo
the wole album is spectacular, all the songs are like the bands who plays in the record song´s
It's not the original. It's Rob making his own. Why can't people let cover artists do their own thing? Totally agree.
It's being covered by Rob Zombie, whats not to like? :-D
When I first heard this song on my sisters Rob Zombie album I was like "Wtf is that Blitzkrieg Bop?" then I thought "damn this is really good!" though as a Ramones fan I do prefare the original.
Me and my bud used to open our college radio show to this song every week.
Love the groove metal wave of this. Still sounds like an anthem but with a bounce and switch up.
One of my favorite artists covering one of my all time favorite bands!
EPIC!!!!
RIP Tommy Ramone
K
This shit is badass!
WAAAAYYYYY different. I love it. To hell in a hand basket with all of you who thinks this wasn't a good idea. I love Johnny's vision.
Awesome!
nice Ramones cover
Love this album.
I LOVE THIS SONG !!!
This is an excellent tribute and well done video!!!! I love it!!!
I think the way it abruptly ends makes me keep coming back for more
Thanks!
Best cover of all history of music
awsome!!!!!
very nice!!!!
That's awesome! Great way to honour Joey!
this a seriously awesome video for it to not be official... great job

Good One!
my god this is amazing!!!!its sounds complety different!
Perfect horror b Movie mix
The Rob Zombie twist on this song is so cool. I like Zombie.
Great vid
buenisisimo!!!! love it!
Gotta appreciate the fact that he wasn't afraid to rework it to fit his style without rendering the song unrecognizable.
This is a great cover. Do any of you realize Johnny Ramone oversaw and had total creative control over the whole "We're Happy Family" tribute album and that he asked each performer to make each song their own? If it's good enough for Johnny, then its good enough for me.
now this is how you do a cover. don't try to sound exactly like the original put your own spin on it like shown here. really makes it interesting
I know its years since you made the comment but its true. Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson are among the few that do that when they do covers of songs.
Exactly. And to add to that, the trick is, doing your own artistic interpretation of the song but without betraying the sentiment of the song. For example, like taking an Irish mournful parting folk song and covering it as an upbeat, danceable pop song. That's where the art lies when covering songs. If you can't add something different to a song or make it your own without completely betraying the emotion/sentiment of a song, then your showing your lack of artistic sensibility and creativity and should just refrain from covering music you clearly can't grasp beyond the fact that it has a catchy beat.
exactly, my philosophy on what makes a great cover (as well as how i go about doing my own covers) is that the artist should take the original song and completely deconstruct it into its basic parts, and then remake it in their own image, like as if they were making it from scratch as one of their own tunes. Otherwise covers just end up sounding like over-hyped karaoke and almost always they are crap compared to the original and just made to get guaranteed sales by having a popular band release a cover of a song that was already a hit once, basically an easy way for the band (and the label execs) to make sure that they are going to make more than enough money, likely to buy yet another freakin' bullshit boat or some hookers covered in gold and coke.
I agree. Even though I don't particularly dig this rendition, I appreciate what Zombie did with it. He obviously respects the Ramones and holds them in high regard. To many of us, they are 'our Beatles'. So anyone paying respect to the Ramones gets a tip of the cap from me. Besides, it is hard to improve on a classic, legendary song that is engrained in the minds of people around the world like 'Blitzkrieg Bop' is. Even though I don't enjoy it, I give this cover a thumbs up. After hearing Zombie sing his own songs for so many years, I found the chorus especially odd sounding with Zombie singing in a major key. hehe. It sounded weird..especially in contrast to the verses.
The Trash Man What’s strange and interesting is that the live version of this cover is more accurate to the original.
I dunno why but theres a beatles feel to this cover. Kind of like helter. Awesome cover. I love it.
I feel so guilty. I'm watchin this and gettin into it. And my youth is long gone. I need to grow up.
Says who
love this song
This is a very well done fan video!
One of my faves
A real trip!
Nice, nice, nice!
Great video too.
its pretty cool! I'm just so used to the fast pace punk Ramones version! I think it will get better as I listen to it.
Man Zombie is the man hes also help keepin The Ramones name alieve he helped make this album with Johnny Ramone so it makes it even more special
this is fucking incredible whats a glourious tribute to the Ramones
I love Rob Zombie! He is a creative genius, even if he does copies and rips off other artists. Love what he's done with this!
Cool
This is badass
Rob Zombie and the Ramones are great but this guy made a great video for nothing with no ads.
You be trollin' so hard, PhunnyBoneTickler XD
Certainly made it his own. I can respect that
hell yeah dude!!!
I heard the solo and thought "this sounds like phil x" and looked at his website and it is! haha
ROCKS!
Isten nagy a szám!!!
im not sure whether to like or dislike this...
Two favorite things together. Fucking impressed. Love this.
Even though I’m a huge metal head I’m not the biggest fan of rob zombie. But damn this is a fantastic cover one of my top 5 for sure
I´ve never really like this song but this version rocks!! RZ Rules!!
Both versions excel!
This video reminds me of how I'm glad that my Rob Zombie phase ended 16 years ago.
...when you moved on to Marilyn Manson.
:-P
i love them both.
Anyone knows what video the scene where Joey is with a large knife comes from?
rob zombie's version of hey ho lets go!! is epic!!!
Tooooooo goooooooooooooooooood
I agree with all of your opinions!
I love both versions but Ramones one is my favorite because it's more fast paced.
i have to agree and im not much of a fan of the Ramones but ive heard this song and he did really good with this remake.
I want this played at my wedding and funeral.
Some many bands have covered this song, I think a great album could be made of all the different versions.
Certainly an intresting cover
@guitarmagic95 it's different on purpose, that's what makes it interesting enough to listen to
This is fucking amazing!
This is fucking awesome 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Different, but still badass!!!
@hangclaw Thanks!
The Ramones really got it right
Actually not bad. I usually like Zombie's original work more than his covers but this is alright.
Is this of his new album thats comeing out soon
This song is a remake the same way his movie Halloween was a remake. Completely different feel, but still great.
Can i request, or suggest 2 video idea's? more like a request for 2, but whatever. this is badass by the way!
Obviously he couldn't have released this without the Ramones (or what's left of them) saying it was okay for him to release it, so they must enjoy it.
@pwidner70 it sounds like he dropped an octave though. and the drums are totally different. but I still love it :)
woah i love this cover than the original!!!
Finely fucking found it!!!!
Rob does good covers doesn't do them as a duplicate he put his own spin on them!
Q cancion es la de las imagenes del concierto en vivo dnd salen las chicas bailando sobre el escenario?
TURN THIS SHIT UP! MY EARS DIDN'T BLEED YET!! >:O
what music video ist it w/ him in an old type car?
Dragula I think.
I believe the term is eargasm.
@55758 I think it's good. It's his own version; but it even took me some getting used to.
I find it strange that the live version of this cover is more accurate to the original. I still love this cover though.
FUCKIN' AMAZING!!!!
what a fucking cool video :)
i think this version is really interesing and really different from the original version. i love both =)
i fucking love it
Blitzkrieg Rob not bop
PETERVONFROSTER album says "bop" and yes it's right in front of me lol
@@cabooseridingderpy8972 Firstly, you replied to a comment 3 years ago.
Secondly why are you searching for an album that you already have?
Thirdly disregard the first point because I'm not a hypocrite.
@lordrevan571 You mean how do you play rob zombie in JB's world. right?
Ditto! (:
@aceface1968 wel... since the ramones asked zombie to do the cover, and wanted him to do it in HIS style, I dont think he is aware of the cover ( and I think he stated that he kinda liked it)
What's the music video at 0:14?
