How's the longevity of Prada luna rossa line?
The one thing that most people fail to consider when judging fragrances is how tolerable they are _over time._ A lot of colognes smell amazing at first, but then start becoming obnoxious and headache-inducing the more you wear them. Bleu de Channel EDT and Acqua di Gio EDP are two fragrances that are easy to tolerate over a long period. So, colognes are kind of like friends-- the best ones are those you can tolerate over long periods, lol.

I have the Blue De Chanel Parfum and the Prada Luna Rossa ocean. The Blue De Chanel is my "go-to" office fragrance and the Ocean is my summer evening scent.
Both are great, but just for different Occasions.

I know I'm not going crazy! BdC is an office fragrance, I don't know why I keep seeing this pop up with women as a "sexy fragrance" it just smells like older distinguished gentleman in a small fishing yacht or in a law office. Or maybe he has private wetbar and pool table downstairs where his law buddy friends hang out, or he makes mixed drinks with his intelligence community buddies or talks shop with six figure earners in the study. Maybe that's why it smellt "sexy" to some women, is because it literally just smells like money 😂
I often wear Prada Luna Rosa ocean EDP, lasts a little longer on my skin and smells a bit more mature to my nose. The EDT is a great fragrance though!

Prada LRO is a great smelling fragrance, but from my experience it just does not last unfortunately. Probably why many don't talk about it. Have you tried the EDP?
I think the same about it. It's good especially the opening but it just doesnt stay. Haven't tried EDP tho we have it in the shops but there are no testers, so it doesnt make much sense to buy it if i already have EDT and it's prolly about the same.
Nope the EDP according to the reviews says it is a vanilla fragrance, and yes edt doesn’t last long sadly.
I bought the edp a week ago at sephora. It was love and 1st sniff and even more at the dry down when the vanilla kicked in, but I'm never buying it ever again. The 1st 2 times I wore it to the gym/work, I was good. Now I can't smell it after 5-10 minutes of spraying. It's a complete waste of money tbh. Now, 1 thing I will say is that I've noticed that when other ppl can't smell my scents from 2 ft away, I still can smell them on me. I spray this bullshit on and can't even smell it on myself. Idk if it's the cold weather (I've noticed most of my frags perform like shit in the cold) or what, but im over this bs that Prada put out... I don't like Ysl Myself, and I think BDC is overrated and smells nowhere near as good as people hype it up. It sucks because I actually do really like the smell of prada LRO edp, but it's a waste of money.

Great video - the Batman nerd in me appreciates the Batman screen in the background and I truly love your on the street comparisons because it sets you apart from how everyone else does it!
i have all 3 of them and almost every other itteration of their respective line-up and all i can say is, this paper strip battle is very unfair and doesnt do justice to YSL MYSLF because its the single out of all three which develops so much differently once applied on skin. It is also the sweetest out of these three (on skin) and the more likeable on first sniff. i litteraly made the same mistake when i smelled it the first 2 times in stores on paper it smelled ordinary, boring fresh. The third time i decided to apply on skin and left the shop having applied a bunch of other fragrances on different spots. it was the time when after 30 min i went back in and got myself a bottle.... Im telling you dont make the same mistake for this particular fragrance you NEED to compare it applied on skin to let it release its vanillic/coconutty sweetness (which compares to versace eros/davidoff CW Intense) its an entirely different fragrance, turns sweeter the more dry it gets and the closer you sniff it off skin. Personaly i sense it 80% closer to Prada Ocean and 95% to the female "YSL Libre" .
Agree.. that's my beef with paper strip battles and influencers who rate frags only from paper strips. I remember spraying Lalique Encre Noire on paper and catching a gag reflex 😅but once on skin it grows on you instantly.
Just tried it today in store…smelt pretty good on paper but smelt amazing on my skin. Even better after leaving the store. I can’t stop smelling myself because it smells amazing lol
In fairness this mostly is the problem with fragrances is that it not only takes awhile to develop but also different skin chemistry vs clothes really makes a huge difference. Like I've found things that smell weird on my clothes, then found smells like garbage on my skin. But it is true artistry to make a good fragrance, so a lot of these times it becomes a real journey, particularly I think with higher end niche stuff like Amouge, to the extent that only a handful of fragrances even smell consistent, like Mystic Experience or The One and Luna Rossa Black smell mostly the same, but even Code Parfum evolves so much it really can't be compared sprayed on a test strip 5 minutes later vs your skin in an hour. They're literally nothing alike.

Excellent fragrance challenge! Fully satisfied when I saw one of my favourite fragrances win. Nevertheless this challenge is a reflection of reality. Usually girls like this Prada perfume.

You are right about what you are talking about. But I've noticed one thing. That if you wear a certain cologne it will always also make a difference on what body wash you use. Because thay also use sertain fragrances.
I have the edp of Bleu and it works really well on my skin.

Honestly Curly the reason why they don’t talk about it, put it on top 10 lists, etc is because the longevity is really weak for guys who traditionally spray it on, 5-6 sprays.
But honestly, this is amazing and I hate that I have to over spray it and restock often because this is definitely signature-scent worthy. I wear it because there’s something so mysterious about the dna and that’s how it makes me feel when I have it on.

I have EDT. I recommend buying it at discounters instead of retail like me. lol Cost less than half the price. I do personally like the Parfum more, but I’m sure the EDT is more universally loved. Overall it’s fantastic for summer.
People have their choices, but between these three, it's BDC EDP and it's not close. It's a classy fragrance. Now, having said that, it doesn't get as much wear time for me since I got the parfum. The parfum is AMAZING.
You think the parfum would still be good even in summer? It's mostly hot where I'm at and I keep hearing the parfum is more better lol
@@kenCx When I first tried it, it was a high-80s/low 90s June day. And yeah, it was fantastic all day. Having said that, in regards to summer, based on my collection, I only wear it in the evenings. Fall, winter, spring and summer evenings.

I haven't smelled it yet, but I find myself to prefer the EDP or the elixir version of any cologne.

The thing about frags is most of the girls like simple clean frags, very few people have their nose trained enough to like niche frags

I smelled Ocean edt at Macy's a few months ago, and I liked it but didn't buy it. I smelt Ocean edp at sephore last week and loved it, and ended up buying it. I like the smell, but I regret wasting my money on that bs. After 5 minutes, the smell is already gone. Fuck Prada.

Prada Ocean smells good but I’ve got a 150ml BDC and I feel like I can’t cheat on it with another blue designer. I said if I get another blue it would be a niche fragrance like PDM Percival.
Percival is a fantastic, smoother, sweeter Montblanc Explorer which is an Aventus inspired fragrance. Though, it is double the price.
It's more in price because of the quality and how it's blended.@@KunaiKrazy

Hot take : maybe the lesser the points, the better the fragrance. It seems Prada only wins in battle but when you are just wearing it out and about the other two garner more compliments....even MYSLF lol
I dont down myself but but I have ocean and bdc edp, and I get way more compliments from . Prada gives me more compliments than bdc and Dylan blue combined. I like bdc edp a little better than Dylan blue, but even Dylan blue gives me more compliments than bdc..... I don't get the hype of myself. I was in the locker room getting dressed a few weeks ago when I started spraying ocean on my chest, neck, arms, etc. This foreign man asked me what was it he said it smelled good. He said he have ysl myself, but he liked my scent better. I told him what it was and that to be warned it doesn't last long.

Prada is one of my favorite fresh/sweet fragrance
Another excellent review , however just because a scent popular with women shouldn't be the biggest factor in choosing a fragrance...selecting a fragrance purely because you think it will attract people is kind of weak. The biggest factor should be if you approve of it yourself and it makes you feel good and confident about yourself every time you wear it. Any 3rd party approval is a bonus. I would always keep BDC in my collection because its fresh, gentlemanly, timeless with a luxurious quality

I mean... I do not like Prada Luna Rosa Ocean at all 😅 I feel like its average blue fragrance and YSL Myself is nice but I prefer Y more. Out of these I would go with BDC every single time. I feel like if they smelt it on a man all would go for BDC but I could certainly be wrong about that.

@@fraai Thanks, I managed to try the EDT and EDP. Like the smell of both, but although I liked the EDP, it was a lot more vanilla in the dry down and smelled less "summery" to me, so at this time of year I went for the EDT 👍
I actually have BdC, Myslf, *AND* PLR Ocean (edp though). I use them for morning/afternoon/evening, respectively. 😂
At this point and time this is my favorite in my collection. Projection wise i dont feel its too great though.

I had Luna Rossa on all day yesterday and its fantastic, bleu is one of my all time favs but for now prada luna rossa ocean is the king.
Never had Prada nor YSL. I like to buy fragrances that no one has, Unique, different than everybody has. I had Oscar de Renta - Oscar for men. That made some panties drop. But I have By Dolce&Gabbana for men. That, drives the ladies wild. Lucky for me I have still have a full bottle, because it's been discounted. 😉
First off, fire fit Michela, those Retro 13s are tough! People didn’t say the YSL was bad, but most women preferred the Prada one over it in the end. I do like that Prada one, just never got around to getting it, great video.
The problem here is that Prada Luna Rosa Occean does not perform, according to Fragrantica. Unfortunately, the best frags are weak performers. Thats where Bleu de Chanel comes in. I cant stand having to spray 10 times or ever hour to get performance. Also, Chanel Allure Sport is sweeter and creamier than Bleu de Chanel, making it closer to Prada LRO. And both Chanels perform really well.

Cant go wrong with any blue fragrance, the new myslf is too generic, prada is very underrated but is really really good. bdc is the goat, the og, the mother of all blues and has reached legendary status at this point.
bdc is nowhere near being the "mother of blue" lol. The fresh, oceanic kind of scent was known long before
Dylan blue is the GOAT of compliments for blues

Of course Ocean will win. It’s my fave just trucking around in the summer scent. Not for night or date night, but so good for just going out.

Yesterday my Bottle Sauvage arrived. Now i have in my Collection Cool Water Intense, Coolwater, 1 Million EDP, Joop Homme EDT, Givengy Gentl Boisse, Spicebomb Extreme, Gucci Guilty Intense and finally Dior Sauvage. BUT, when i sprayed Sauvage this morning and smelled it after the drydown, I realized that it smells EXACTLY like the old Lagerfeld Photo. I cant smell any difference (cause i still got an old Bottle). That was weird.
I went to Ulta and tried Myself. Took home strips. Not positive whether they had Ocean, but now it seems like I need pay attention to it.
